Here's a replay of an amazing game I just had. I really sucked for the first wave, but then I fell back and mounted one of the best defenses ever. This is a must watch 3v3. http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/8/7/2039910/AutoRecord-03291416.record
I generally suggest that you don't get 2 caps immediately. Your DPS will suck. However, let's say that fleet size is set to large and you are in the pocket. You can get two caps without ever building a weapons lab or increasing fleet supply. 2 eggs can be very useful as you can alternate grav bombs or, eventually, get double planet suction. 2 marza's work suprisingly well because you can assaniate roids, and even a HW with ease. Lastly, it depen
How's guide on cap ships: Kol - Great target to let the enemy focus fire, because they will die trying. Sova - Useless Akkan - Undervalued/underloved Dunov - It's a support ship, treat it as such Marza - Planet sniper, but screams kill me before I reach level 6 Kortul - Good at protecting other caps from 200+ bombers Skiranta - Great support carrier, frail as hell Egg - If I ever got a customized license plate, I w
Marza can be disabled nanites not ?
Right Pulling off a chain reaction takes some skill though. The marza requires a mouse click.
We have a winner! Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding.
Hack - help. I have no fighter cover...") "Coming - this should be OK with my cover and your ships"... "Crap - how did he get that many fighters???"
Yeah, that kindof sucked. I was in the econ slot and wasn't expecting to fight anyone. Jumping into a 5 bar fleet kind of ruined that; I was kind of surprised he had expanded all the way across the map. Took me about a minute to scuttle 5 trade ports and build mil labs and factoriess to start spamming flee
While I agree, the simple fix for this would just be changing the hull repair rates for the existing hull research.
Tyr, seriously, I haven't had many 5 hour games on Entrenchment. I usually find that by the 1 hour mark you either have a massive econ superiority or a fleet superiority, either of which will allow you to steamroll them. I do admit that I am a huge fan of a kostura now, and that I generally don't like trying to attack a well defended position unless victory is clear. So, to sum it up, I like the longer game play, and it allows you to do so whacky S*it.
I use fileden. You have to be careful about their ads, as they're tricky, but it's free 2Gb.
People like How and Tyr sometimes will get the HW pop upgrade (assuming vanilla or non-quickstart Entrenchment) if they know they have time on their side (I've watched replays to see what they did in games I have been in with them, regardless of the side I am on).
Hack, you should checkout my starts in Entrenchment with Quick Start enabled. I have found it very useful to queue up a civ lab and weapons lab ASAP and have terran population and assail techs upgrading
Considering the original complaint is regarding the other races having repair rates just a few hp higher for a single target, I fail to see how a free area-wide 5hp/sec that's always on is somehow balanced.
The reason I suggested it is because Vasari already have AoE repair ability, so why not be able to tech it for the repair station? Also, by getting you 5 hp/sec, whichever target was the focus of the repair facility, with it's 15 hp/sec, that target would act
No-cost decent repair ability for all ships nearby?
+ 5 hp/sec is crap. It's a perk, and nothing more.
I think what might be cool would be just a passive repair ability that could be teched up. Perhaps a 5 hp/sec repair for all units within range?
Good luck Torro, and see you next fall.
THE ECONOMY STOLE MY CYKUR!!!!!
VANILLA SINS STOLE MY TYR!!!!!
I've got vista 64-bit, Phenom II, 8Gb of ram, and HD 4670 video card. Everythings fine for me.
Perhaps. I guess my biggest gripe is that you have to go all the way to tech level 4 to get really nice repair rates. Doesn't really help you early game. Also, Advent and TEC have great AM support abilites. Vasari doesn't.
How lies, he plays plenty of TEC
Um...I guess if you think plenty is 1 out of every 10 games.
Hi, my name is How, and I play Vasari almost exculsively. If you think they are weak, 1v1 me. Vasari are amazing.
The ability must be re-worked. Limit the number of targets or missiles launched, something like that.
Ugh...it's doesn't need a nerf. Learn to interupt it.
