1) You should mass the hoshiko's NEXT TO the SB (i.e., within healing range so they don't have to travel to activate the healing ability). 2) 12 is a fine number for a fleet. However, if you have only one target you want healed, you only need enough Hoshiko's so that they don't run out of Anit-matter. 6 would probably work. I"m not a huge TEC player, so I don't know how long the duration or AM cost is. 3) This is exactly why I like overseers, as they DO
I don't think AI buys any of the metal or crystal. I believve regardless of difficulty, the AI has unlimited minerals so I really don't think they would buy it, I think this is mainly for multiplayer
April fools, right? On a side note, if you put them up, they will be sold, but only when another player buys them.

Sensor probe, meh. 500 scouts with timed explosives...now that's op. Oh, and on a serious note, Raging Amish was probably one of the best players I've ever seen.

I was trying to make a joke, sorry. Anyway, if anybody should be crying foul on caps, it should be the Advent. Fully teched phase missles on 60 bombers takes out their cap ships in 1 run. Forget your shield regen, because it's useless. Don't believe me? I just proved it again last night. /sarcasm

I remember one game back in v1.05 where, by the end of the game, a TEC player had 300+ flak. You wouldn't believe it, but I almost lost my cap. Yes, 300 flak can be a pain, but so can 300 of anything. Did you ever see 300 bombers make a run on a cap or a SB? One word: pwned. 150 HCs, still pwned. Anyway, just wanted to tell my story about the 300+ flak fleet. It was funny being on the receiving end.
i love Overseers. i really do. i do not however love parking them at a grav well and shooting repair nanites at structures getting hammered by bombers. that seems counter-productive. no, i love my overseers because they make my cap ships immune to focus fire until they're all out of anti-matter. they let you bring your heaviest firepower right into the heart of enemy territory and not get wiped out in a hot minute. Seriously, MP is not that bad. Yeah, sometimes people are idiots, and I usually don't join a custom map game unless I know the host. With that in mind, the people on the list at this link are players you can expect to have a good game with: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/338710

I've seen Astax play. He's good when he's not dorking around (Spiralblitz had the same problem of playing bad sometimes because he was trying new strategies). I would probably agree with upgrading Greyfox to tier #2, but I haven't seen him play in a very long time. Does someone have a replay with him in it?
Still have to figure out wether I like playing as a Vasari, too agresive for my own liking (I reckon that is the only way o play in MP though, so I will have to get a hang of it soon enuff.
Quite frankly, if you want slow and deliberate, TEC is for you. If you plan your defenses right and tech up appropriately, their defenses are extremely tough. However, you can still use that play style as Vasari, just acknowledge that your repair stations suck.
Hey, has anyone else noticed that Carriers kinda suck right now? Considering the amount of resources you spend on building Carriers, fighters just aren't going to be able cut through LRFs when there is Flak support. Making your Carriers seem like dead weight. By then, you will have spent a lot of resources on high cost/supply cruisers that aren't really doing you much good. This leaves you at a significant disadvantage and you probably are going to lose. Ok, I am guessing the one the OP is talking about it the Kostura. So, if you see the war head coming toward you, jump your ships away from that gravity well. It's that simple. Also, the Kostura is completely offensive in nature, so if you go on the offense at one of their worlds (or a neutral world) they cannot fire at you. ALso, sending a suicide fleet to destroy them is a good idea. Or the labs. But honestly, just take out the weapons as they are a signif
Well, what do you expect from a forum thread Siddy started?
Not much actually. On a side note: Can we all just stop complaining about flak/carriers/blah/bloh/bluh and just play a game? Seriously, if you think something is overpowered, abuse the crap out of it. I really don't care, because no matter how the game dynamics change, the skilled players will always find ways of making the most out of their situation.
PSS. Here is a link to an old spreadsheet regarding this information, that I believe Howdidudothat created).
Yeah, wowzers. I forgot about that sheet. Anyway, I will note that that spreadsheet doesn't account for tax penalties, so take the first upgrade for the riods and first two upgrades for planets with a grain of salt.
