yeah as i said, last time i played vasari was a while ago. u didnt hav to pay for returning armada back in those days [e digicons]:P[/e] guess there isn't any tech thats like mercenaries then.
Fokxnim
well there's the vasari dark armade tech. i haven't played vasari in a while, i think only once after entrenchment was released, but that spawns ships in your own territory quite frequently. if i remember right.
Honestly, some of us replied a little hotly to you, but there were very few times (if ever) that you replied kindly back to any of us. If you notice, in the beginning of your thread no one is so called "flaming" you, but after a few of your unsavory answers it all starts flying. it doesn't take sherlock holmes to figure that one out.

Then again I haven't seen it only heard of it somewhere (maybe in a verry strange dream) Grtz, [_]-Flipkik
i would probably die with awesomeness if i saw a sins commercial. just out of the blue, watching the office or something, and suddenly a marza explodes through my tv screen...... this needs to ha
@CI: Thank you. Well, the problem is that the human mind itself is too round to do much by itself. It could act like an EMP or Repulse, but not the more directional ones...
True true. I never said I had a better idea, I'm just against the idea of a star wars force-type thing going on for the Advent. But it's just a little quibble. I could get used to it if nothing else comes up.
PayPal = E-bay = Scam. Sounds stupid i admit but i always use other sites to sell off un-wanted equipment. I no I first heard about paypal on ebay......but im REASONABLY sure that they aren't connected in the slightest. no more than impulse and paypal are connected. EDIT: oh come on, now the quotes won't work?!? someone in stardock hell has it out to get me.
There really is nothing bad about paying with debit card or paypal. Paranoia is really a ridiculous thing, and it unnecessarily paralyzes too many people who lose sight of things at the mere mention of anything bad that can happen in a 1/100000 chance. If you want to restrict yourself to old-fashioned and increasingly unsupported payment methods, that's fine. But don't expect to be able to buy anything you want. You'
well that glare on the helmet is pretty convincing... though the cat seems to be missing its left hind leg.
@Volt-Cruelerz - at first, i was thinking nanites for the Advent? That's too Vasari. but then I kept reading, and I kept thinking, and I gotta say, u make a good argument. also, ur nanite-grafting ideas made me think of the x-men movies. but anyway i still stand firm in believing that the Advent can work their PsiTech solely with their mind. although the hand/nerve thing makes a lot of sense, I just believe the Advent can do it all without having to use their hands. But that's my opin

Idk....it has a possibility to be interesting. I'd certainly give it a shot.
Let's hear your idea first, Volt. Then see what we have.
thanks a ton ryat! [e digicons]:D[/e] thats some karma heading ur way.
So there is never going to be an expansion that adds a campaign like Brad Wardell discussed when Entrenchment was still in development? That's pretty disappointing.
theres not going to be another mini- expansion. hopefully another expansion/update comes along with some type of campaign (any type, good or bad, would be better than none to those who disagree)
Yeah don't bother with the USB thing. Just download Impulse, register and activate the game on both pc's and you're ready to go. @Will the Great - you can see the dates which people commented right above their post. you can see that for a good 20-something days, there was a gap broken only by a guy saying nothing related to the topic. It was pretty much closed. Not blaming you, though. Y DONT WE JUST STOP COMMENTING. no offense, anyone.
as a side note, werent you guys also going to do the history/explainations of the ships, that would be cool as well, I did that for the TEC thread
I said I wasn't that good with making up ship histories (meaning I'm just too lazy to try), but I posted the ship summaries from the Sins manual and I added my impression that each summary gave me.
Im still not getting where your idea of this tradition from. But Id like to see some lore to back it up.
To be nitpicky, what lore are you basing your men make up 45% or many of the high positions theory? These threads were made to fill the holes in the Sins lore (I believed), and for that to happen you have to make things up. Now I'm not saying make up any old thing, but something that makes sense. As long as you can
Yes that's what's going to happen. I'll PM it to you when it's done, and we can edit it before putting the final draft on the thread. to save space.
question for allegiance mostly, as its his thread and he asked me to write this. Do you want no reference to the Spirits at all? The Vasari who's telling the tale of their birth refers to them as the Lights of the universe. And he mentions them several other times as the Spirits come into contact with the Vasari. I didn't remember if you had an issue with that. This is basically the same story but from a Vasari persective. So no Earth or the inner doings within the Spirits, but they
I agree with your first bit. I'm sorry, I didn't understand your ants reference. But you misunderstood my meaning on women and men. Men would still be working on every ship, except for the Aeria. They just wouldn't be in the bridge, which is the most important part of a ship, Advent especially. I mentioned before that groups of 5-6 men would work each weapon/cannon on each ship. And there's all the other nonessential jobs that only require a little PsiTech. Only the women would captain t
Actually I used to have it as Admiral Chief of Spacial Operations (instead of Naval), but I thought that was too long so I shortened it to Admiral. Now I have an idea that makes me look stupid in hindsight. The rank will be called Admiral Chief of Spacial Operations, but when you address the man, you'd just say Admiral. ex: instead of Admiral Chief of Spacial Operations Kol, it would be Admiral Kol, but the official name of the rank would still be Admiral Chief of Spacial Operations
Except the Advent aren't supposed to be so tightly knit together. The Unity binds them close, but they still have independent thought, they are not a colony of ants. I'm basing this off of the Diplomancy lore. I can't find where the Diplomancy lore actually is right now, and I don't have time to search, but it said the Advent were beginning to question the path they had chosen and the decisions of their leaders. They can't have doubts about their actionos if they are mindless ants. So I'm jus
