The point is that he could have been saying that you don't keep your in-game, 1 to 25 levels, and that there might be a different leveling system for persistant mode. Either you are really thick-headed or there is some misunderstanding between us that I can't find. I'll be nice and assume it is the latter and just drop it.
NO I DIDN'T. No we actually have no idea how the persistence will work. You're assuming things.. Last I heard, a month ago, was that you would be able to carry CASTLE UPGRADES with you from game to game on non-ranked.
Sigh. First, you said that there was fast progression in one game with no mention of persistance. Then you said it wouldn't work anyway. Then you said we had no idea how persistance would work, and that the last yo

*headdesk* You said there is no persistant mode. Brad and Tyo both said there was. Brad and Tyo are making the game. You are not. Thus, you are wrong.
Good job linking to something that doesn't confirm what you believe.I'm not saying that I'm right and you're wrong, I'm just saying that's not confirmation that you will have a gamemode where you level slowly and keep your levels. The link just as much is confirmation of what I said.
L2Read
What is also cool is that outside these individual skirmishes these Demigods grow in power

Let me put it like this: Demigod is aiming to solve s
Since they said matches last 20 minutes on average, fast progression is a given.
20 to 50 minutes, actually, so it is a little longer than 20 :D
That's impossible. A replay, in simple terms, is a record of the "Starting state" of the game -- including the seed which is used to determine any "random" events -- plus all player given commands. The game then runs the "replay" using the exact same engine as you'd use to play it in the first place -- with, maybe, a few minor tweaks so you can see different things than would otherwise be possible. You can't rewind; no way to do it. There isn't a marker "something died at X time at Y place

I don't really like the "click a players structure to switch to their perspective" idea - it is too annoying to do it accidently. I prefer the drop-down menu that Supcom has.

Most of the time (including ranked) you will have a fast, single-game progression. There will also be a persistant mode, however, where you can play as a particular Demigod, level up over time, and try to help that Demigod get a place in the Pantheon.

Vampire Lord (because it sounds ok) or Lord Nukekubi (because it sounds funny if you pronounce it right). The rest don't sound good in my opinion, and names with real words in them that are more like titles (Queen of Thorns, the Rook, the Oak) fit the game a little better. A picture would help us decide though :D
With the release of the trailer, I got really fired-up, but I don't want to pre-order unless I get to beta test. So...... TOO LATE???
NO.

Well, if it crashes during the beta, you will have to report it so it can be fixed. The entire point of the beta is to make it crash so it can be fixed :). And I'm sure there will be OP Demigods at first, but eventually balance will be worked on.
About Demigod now. All the information mentioned in the press releases and interviews by developers and Stardock seems very promising , BUT one thing that concerns me pretty much. I am talking about that u will have only 2 types of heroes. That doesn't seem enough to me to offer the level of customization per hero, which would delight the regular DotA player. I know that the game has a variety of other aspects that will be much deeper integrated in Demigod, than they are in DotA, but anyw

This journal seems pretty conveniently timed actually. One day they say the beta won't have many features and won't be fun, so the next day they release a journal saying how awesome it is when they add features - a way to tease/torture the fans. The "it is fun with AI's" part seems like it is meant to reassure those of us who are dissappointed at the lack of muliplayer at first. It also has a possible clue as to when the next stage of the beta will start (60 days from now) and conveniently li

1) With no other units, Assassins should win significantly. They shouldn't survive with 99% of their health left, but they should definitely win. 2) With equally sized armies, it depends. If it is Assassin+normal creeps versus General+normal creeps, the Assassin should probably win. Not by a lot, but he should win, since the General didn't bring any of his stronger special units with him. If it is Assassin+creeps vs General+creeps+special units but still same-sized armies, I expect
Wait.. so the TOURNAMENTS are the ones with the persistence? That sounds bad.. tournaments should be a level playing field. I thought it was going to be the other way around. ._.Maybe i'm mixing stuff up.
I think you are mixing stuff up. Demigod will have a persistant mode where you fight to get your Demigod to godhood, which is basically a persistant tournament mode.

5v5 random Demigods [drools]. I don't think copying playstyles from replays is a big deal; usually the ones who copy aren't quite as good as the original. Delaying live replays a little would be good though.
