It’s nice to hear a lot of positive feedback on the game since sometimes, reading the forums, you tend to get a…specific demographic of players that aren’t necessarily representative of the wider Demigod player base.
That may be true. Nevertheless, I'd still like to think that Stardock and GPG appreciate the constructive feedback here (especially regarding bugs and balancing), because only posit
Should I get in the habit of looking up the stats on everyone involved in the game before even thinking of joining?
Until the new patch comes out, which lets these stats be displayed ingame, yes. :) You can also inform yourself about ingame mechanics and Demigod builds at the Demigod Wiki . There are quite a lot of mechanics in Demigod that are described nowhere in the game (or manual).

If you're new to the game please join "noobs only" games until you know when to retreat and when to stay. If you join "normal" or even "good players" games from the beginning you're only getting ganked and make your team lose. Everybody started as a noob once. No shame in that.

This really needs to be fixed in v1.2. You'd only understand the frustration about this bug if you played the QoT and used Shamblers, which, for some unknown reason (sarcasm), almost nobody does. Imagine a Regulus hitting you with Mark of the Betrayer Level2 (775 mana). All Shamblers die on summoning (wasted up to 975 mana) and you take 600 damage
As to the health bug, it's not like the minions are going to have any less health if I purchase the item. They just don't get the boost when summoned.
As I wrote in the linked thread:
When you buy Hauberk ( +200 health to Minions) and a Sigil ( +100 health to Minions) and you make a Shambler, it is summoned with only 475 ( ! ) health.

I hope you know that with Hauberk and Sigil you're summoning half-dead Shamblers . I stopped buying these items until it's fixed. Anyways, your build is very similar to mine, but I skill Ground Spikes later (and only use it when it's level4) because when the enemy team is skilled you won't survive going into open mode without having a maxed Shield, Mulch level 2 and a lot more health. The Queen is simply too slow to

If they incorporate such a mechanic, they should to not allow players to give invinite positive and negative Karma points. Sadly (but surely), some players would be so immature as to give negative Karma to everyone who beats them, or just "for fun". On the other hand, teams of players who know each other would give themselves only positive Karma. This could be solved by giving each player 1 Karma point to spend per game played (until the end). Furthermore it should not be allowed to a

You could improve this build if you would skip Entourage (since you only skill Summon Shamblers once) and also skip Morale . These skills are only useful if you intend to use your minions a lot . Skilling Entourage just because of the Tribute special skill is totally not worth it! And you should get the Vlemish Faceguard helmet, it's really worth its money (closed mode mana reg

Yeah Pacov, maybe you're right. Stardock does their data mining of their own, most likely they already have enough info on desync exploiters and will hopefully fix the problem soon. Until then I will still report every desyncer here (which I tell them), perhaps a few ones will stop this way.

hhp45 : 33 games, 23 desyncs. Just played him, he was about to lose -> desync. Other players are encouraged to list suspicious desyncers here. Stardock said they would deal with them appropriately. Let's help them purge the community.

We all know what that means: An epic 17-page battle report (including songs about their bravery and herosim) in the next print issue.

With Hauberk, the Spirits do have 200 more maximum health, but when they are created they still have their base health. I did not test the Sigil with Spirits. You might not notice that they have less health when created because when you're zoomed out, the health bar is bugged too. Also your priests (or reinforcement priests) could heal them instantly. I guess that's why I never noticed it before.
And when I say ban, I mean, ban, as in, that player isn't playing Demigod online anymore.
Thanks. Nobody will miss them. Just be sure to not ban innocent people!
if someone desyncs more then once in ten games it's counted as a loss (or something like that).
Which would still be advantegous enough for such a person to not stop doing it. [e digicons]:S[/e]

Sorry for the thread-jack, but this is a serious problem (and 1.2 is out soon, I guess)! Frogboy, Kyro, anyone: Please try this out . As some of you might know I play QoT almost exclusively. Anyways, I'm actually laughing right now because until now I did never notice in the heat of the battle that

I played against these two clowns too and although it was quite long ago I can still remember them because they were childishly flaming away in the game lobby for no reason at all ("We're so gonna rape you", etc.). If anybody, these two guys (Berlier and Apika) qualify for a temporary ban until the issue is fixed. Or at least a harsh one-time warning. Stardock/GPG: Also look into games whe
The more games played, with as indicated in your re-direct cosmoe, the more favour someone is going to have
Nope, wrong interpretation. The graph displays the average Favor Points for a game per Demigod. It does not matter how often the Demigod is played and the Favor Points for Wins/Losses are also excluded (extra for each Demigod). It's not a measure of Demigod strength! It simply shows that Regu
