Yea i tried that already and people kept complaining that there were too many, but there is a varible. Some ships fire every 16 secs, others every 32. I can tweak the damage a bit more but it forces the varibles to change, so i'll have to re-write the varibles
Yeah I remember reading all those, that's why i didn't really want to suggest it, but some ships like the Akira just aren't quite shining like they used to. Sorry fo

Lol yeah. Still gonna use them as pirate base defenders? Just curious because I love the challenge they pose. Great job on them, that's what fighting the borg should be like. None of that "We ran out of ideas for this, so let's spam the biggest threat in the galaxy but gimp them so the ship in this series has a chance at all" borg. What's the hull regen on that thing? Something like 500 a tic? Just wondering because I thought I had them with a fleet supported by sovereigns, when their hull ju
LOL! Hey guys I absolutely love this! The romulans seem to be fairly well balanced, work well, and all the sounds as far as I can tell are working perfectly. Several times shooting it out with 2 nebulas I thought my D'deridex was toast but that ship can take a real beating before dropping dead, (mine never did). At least now we know why the pirates have every ship in the book lol. I haven't tried taking pirates with romulans or klingons but with the federation... 3 fleets later the ba
Did you start a game after clicking enable? I've never downloaded 7DS but not all mods change the banners and stuff in the sins menu. If it is properly enabled just start up a new game and it should all be there. Like I heard they added another race so that race should be selectable before you even start a new game. Hope this helps, if you need me to be more specific on anything just let me know.
Sins has a habit of minidumping when ram is close to being maxed out.
What fix you did dragoon seems to be some sins wierdness.
That's what I was thinking, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense but is probably the best explanation for what happened. Unless like you said, it is something to do with the hardware. Anyway, I seriously can't tell you guys how much I love this mod, so I'm off to blow some more ships away.
the romulan sounds still arent working for me, did you change any files at all dragoon?
Nope, didn't change a thing. Just made the faction playable for a game then turned them back off.
aaa ok that makes sence on that, also i have been playing a long war with the ai and i found out the cpatial ships cant shoot out any fighters anymore has anyone els seen this?.I also t
Hey Major Stress, I tried the romulan ships to check for sound glitches and it's all working fine for me. Went back to a pirate brawl and then the T-10's sounds were working too. Then disabled the romulans tried the pirates again and the T-10's sounds are still working. So, whatever glitched the first time seems to be just fine now.
Can anyone else confirm the T-10 Bright One sound issue?
Yeah, I just had a go with the pirates, the T-10 doesn't seem to have sound effects for it's disruptors. Either that or they're very quiet, but there didn't seem to be any sounds matching up with it's firing.
Hey, love the mod, makes me want to install Freespace again just so I can blow up the Lucifer all over lol. The only bug I noticed is the game crashes everytime I mouse over the Shivan cruiser in the build cue. Haven't played as terrans or vasudans. Wanted to play as shivans first because I still remember my first time through FS1 having the shivans come out of nowhere and watching them claim cap after cap, then getting into a dogfight with them only to find targetting sensors can't lock onto
Personally the cloak adds even more depth to the Trek universe you guys have done an excellent job creating within the confines of the sins engine. Not sure what it'd do to the balance though. I've been picking off good sized fleets with just the B'rels because of the cloak. After fighting the romulan ships today (note to self: don't get hit by pirates again) they can really tear stuff up in a few shots. If most of their ships have the cloak then it could become very difficult to get kills in
Wow, Major Stress those Romulan warbirds look freaken sweet. I was minding my own business taking planets when the pirates come after me and in warps Romulan warbirds. I gotta say the pirates are a serious threat now lol, love what you did with them.
On the other hand, the Klingon BoP seems like it could stand to have more power, perhaps extend the time that it can cloak and give it a more powerful disrupter attack.
If you're talking about the B'rel I actually found that it can shoot it out with whole vanilla sins defense fleets on it's own and win. Like the kind of fleets that defend terran planets. Just use th cloak when it looks like you'll lose it, move it away from the fleet
Hey, no problem. Hope you had fun. Looking forward to some more playtime with everyone [e digicons][/e]
Hey guys awesome balancing job. At first when I saw the damage on some of the ships (Sovereign comes to mind) I thought no way. It actually doesn't take a whole lot to take them out though. They can stand up to other ships like they should be able to, but you can still outgun them without too large a fleet. So all in all, awesome job and an enjoyable mod.
Awesome! Thanks for all the hard work on this Stress and Shimmer. Merry Christmas!
Really looking awesome guys. Can't wait to try this one out.
Really looking good guys, can't wait to try this out. Oh and thank you for all the hard work you guys are putting into this. Wish I could help in some way but have never modded before lol, so... Thanks again, and looking forward to this!
My favorite is FFXI, mostly because I went dragoon, so no need to party really now. Have you tried FFXI recently? Soloing is more worth while now with increased expierience gained from easy pray and decent challenge, and parties are easier to come by with the level-sync feature. Beyond that, what I like about it over the other MMORPGs I've played, being able to change jobs. What specifically did you not like about FFXI? edit: Sorry browser did... I don't know what, other pages didn't
Nevermind, I have to understand the average age group here is around 14-25, and doesnt know what real trek is
Lol, I'm actually in that age group. My idea of real trek though is TNG or original series. I understand what you're getting at, just wanted to let you know we're not all on that page [e digicons][/e] Anyway, back on topic, looking good and can't wait for next release!
Very nice looking ships guys. Thanks for all your hard work Stress and Shimmer. Can't wait to take these out for a spin. [e digicons]*_*[/e]
Awesome job on the mod guys! Can't wait to get my hands on the next version. (Will wait however long it takes of course) [e digicons][/e]
I prefer XP over Vista for the simple reason of less "safety features" if you get my meaning. XP I tell it to do something, it does it, or at least tells me why it can't do it and then I make it do what I want anyway. Vista it's constantly "Are you sure you want to install this program?" Are you sure you want to startup this program? This program may not be installed properly. Are you sure you want to shutdown the computer? At least XP let's me save money on aspirin. [e digico
ok thnx, should have them up in no time... hopefully lol.
this is my first time posting screenshots so apologizing beforehand if I screw it up lol. anyway here they are this one shows where the ship is at. The ship in the sidebar of the asteroid is the same one halfway between the grav wells. For those who don't know (although I'm guessing most of you will) the end of the green line is where the ship is at, and note it's icon doesn't show up like it does when phase jumping. <img src="http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee172/J
