I think we're shooting for a midnight release on eastern standard time.
Glad to hear things are going better for you Stress. As for porting to diplomacy, not sure if you want to open a public discussion on this or not, but I say go for it. It sounds like this expansion could give us even more tools to use within the mod to make it more trek like, or at least as much as we can within the confines of the sins engine. As for when, how many patches did entrenchment get within, say, the first 3 months of it's release? I honestly can't remember but wait
Increased maximum number of meshes allowed (400->800). Increased maximum number of textures allowed (1000->2000).
Thanks so much for this, we really appreciate it.
I figuered it was gonna break it, basically expect it then if it doesn't you have a good surprise and if it does, knew that was coming anyway lol. At least they're upping the limits, thanks for listening IC. We'll just keep moving forward guys, can't do anything else, and not like we're gonna give up now lol.
Probably the only time I'm going to do this... Tactical cube Race: Borg Abilities: Absolute butt-kicking, demoralize, and oh crap! (Please note these are basically always on and do not show up in it's ability list) Take an almost unstoppable borg cube, then give it armor. Ok, enough play time, back to modding lol.
You don't always have to explore to find them. Just got them for the 2nd time a couple days ago, they showed up as soon as I colonized a desert planet.
Are they dependant on having enough military research stations up?
Basically just send in what you have, we'll decide what fits best on what ship and how to balance it. We aren't looking for anything ship specific, just some ideas, if you have an idea that might only work with one ship, send it in anyway!
Attention, we are currently looking for ideas for ship abilities. If you have any let us know! You can send them to one of the team leaders or to , thanks. Also yes, starbases will be in.
Sorry to seeya go Stress, at least it won't be permanent though. Josh, whatever you need let me know. I'll try to be in touch a bit more via MSN, so will catch up with you there and will continue to help where I can.
If the plan hasn't changed, every or almost every weapon on any or almost any ship will be able to fire on strike craft.
But specifically in regard to the major religions of the world I’m pretty well convinced that none of them can possibly be correct. My reasoning is that pretty much all of the world’s major religions are in some sense mutually exclusive. If you are a christian (note the lowercase) then you believe that you are “saved” and muslims (again lowercase) are damned. If you’re muslim then the opposite is true.
As a side note, the US military is already deploying lasers to destroy things like cruise missiles, so the power required can't be as great as originally thought. Also to every weapon in our history a counter-measure has been created. Any weapon deployed in space would eventually become obsolete. It is inevitable, otherwise we wouldn't bother creating newer and better weapons. Also nuclear weapons while newer than most, and probably among the most devastating we've seen, have only eve
The perfect example of the accuracy of your argument is this- TLAM&F-18. A lot of beginning opposition to the TLAM (Tomahawk Land Attack Missile) was that it took away a lot of the purpose of F-18 strike ops. If they could build a TLAM with the range of the F-18, do you think they would still build F-18s? Probably not, since the TLAM can do the same job for cheaper, and its safer for the person performing the strike.
I have no
global warming deniers = holocaust deniers = creationists = 911 conspiracy theorists. all cut from the same mould.
Not that it matters much, especially since you'll believe what you want to, as will I and neither of our views is likely to change from the sounds of it but there are some flaws in your logic. I do not believe in global warming as touted by most. Climate change yes, but that has been going on for centuries. B
Ships stopping for a second or two before attacking a new target is not AFAIK the mod's fault. I've had that happen in standard vanilla sins.
Sry, about that. Just gonna leave sync on all day then lol.
Lol, who cares about the damage their ships do. Borg>all. If you can't beat them, then assimilate them and then use their own stuff against them. Anyway, back on topic, Major have you had a chance to test out that new manifest? I'll pm you later with the specifics after more testing, not sure if I screwed that one up or not based on the last error.
The Scimitar, just like the Prometheus, are among what we consider uber-ships. Therefore no, the Scimitar will not be in the mod.
I have found that to cut down on the number of dumps you get in the old version, simply don't play against the Federation AI. Everytime I played with them in that version I was headed to the desktop at warp speed.
Ok, ripped out some of the vanilla structures we aren't using and uploaded for testing. Going to test the reasearch then get back to yanking stuff.
I've gotten started ripping out the useless junk, kinda slow going atm. Lots of errors, won't upload till it's running clean for the rest of the team to test.
Found the problem! Can anyone confirm the fed AI is crashing the mod? I'll extensively test this, but with fed AI everytime crash 2 min or so into the game. No problems so far with romulan or klingon AI. Have also played ridiculously long games playing as all 3 races with only myself on the map without any crash. The mod itself looks stable, very sure it's the fed AI causing all our problems. Also have no errors running the dev version. I'll keep researching this but if anyone can confirm it'
Stress, just ran a huge random multi-star map with 9 AIs, vanilla entrenchment, all settings maxed, for 2 and a half hours. I was consistently pulling 2-2.02 gigs of ram and had no crash at all. System is XP 32. I actually expected my game to crash just from how old my pc is lol, something like 7+ years still using almost stock everything. Our dev version been nuked then? I already made a backup, so I'm going to try to get this sucker to crash and find a reason for it. The mod,
