Yep. We had backups on site. We had backups off site. It was restoring from the offsite backups that took so long. Just so big. 34TB is no joke.
Most of our off site backups are in IronMountain. I think the last time anyone actually truly needed something from there it took like 2-3 days just to find the damn tape to restore from.

I feel your pain I've had to restore from backups and its generally horribly painful. I'm already doing restore from disk and doing our existing 13TB database restore takes.... way too long. We even have to give reports on annual tests on how long the restore actually takes. If it makes you feel better, my friend used to work at IBM and a telco company lost the ENTIRE CUSTOMER DATABASE. All of it. It took them like an entire month to rebuild that thing from bubble gum, d

if you still have an impacted save, you should upload it to a file sharing site so the devs can look at it and see whats wrong. You can find your saves in \Documents\My Games\GalCiv4\Saves

https://pastebin.com/brJ30f7f Note a whole lot in the runlog.txt that indicates what the error is so I didn't really bother posting it before. Its a bit odd you cant replicate it? I've done it with a few csv files in the "GameCore" directory and it pretty much crashes consistently. I'm using Excel 2016 so that could be a difference?
So I was mucking around in the files to see what they did and if I could edit them Originally I was editing just the mission xml files. Having those open and editing them didn't cause any problems with teh game. Though uh... yeah I kinda screwed up the leaderboards a bit so like you probably need to lock them down or wipe that stuff cuz my 'experimentation' is causing my score to go sky high. However when I went into several CSV files to just poke around. However if you<

For example, if it unlocks on the 20th at midnight eastern standard time, and it is a simultaneous release, I would get it at 9PM PST on the 19th, since I am 3 hours later. If its a local release time, then I would have to wait those 3 hours until it hit midnight here.
Steam unlocks

Just some feedback on the save system Personally I think 2.3% is a bit OP. Don't want to give save scummers more saves lots. I think the appropriate monetization strategy would be 1) Reduce base probability to 1% 2) Founder Elites get increase probability to 5% 3) Every save/reload cycle has

Its an issue where unscrupulous devs were doling out keys for free to fake accounts that astro-turfed the review system. Since devs can generate infinite keys, they were giving keys out, then havi
