Hello just a few questions: How much time would you be expecting a CM to dedicate from a part-time perspective Would this be for just SC or for other parts of Stardock's portfolio of games and software? Would you like a CV of previous experience with regards to previous CM experience?

Note you also have to look at it from their perspective. This is actually RULING on competitive gaming in Overwatch. And that ruling is If you are a console gamer, you'd better be playing on a controller. Because we're going to implement a rule that says in consle competitive gaming you must be using a controller. Period. If you come to our BlizzCon tournament with a kb/mouse you will be disqualified. From a competitive standpoint they have to provide a solid baseline

Note that Overwatch has a competitive mode. In that case they have to assume all users are equally matched. For a patch done awhile ago they nerfed Torbjorn on consoles. Because on console the delay in the controller aiming meant that the turret was much much more powerful on consoles While on PC, the accuracy of the mouse/kb setup meant that this was not a problem on PC so no nerf was necessary. https://ga
Does it count if I've been a rabid fan of both the originals since they came out, and STILL have my original boxed copy of SC2 (complete with 5.25 floppies) on my shelf? Because that should totally count towards getting a CD-KEY, I reckon [e digicons]:)[/e]
Becareful, SC fandom knows no bounds. Someone might have a signed box copy just to out do you :)

Would Discord be useful? Its the 'hip' thing with the kids these day. I have no idea how it works though :P If twitch hadn't made IRC known, I'd just reinstall mIRC and get a channel going that way haha :)
Why did you guys get rid of the Spathi and UrQuan ships behind the Tywom?
Possibly a IP issue given that from what has been said previously the official races are still owned by Activision. Thus while it was 'cool' to put it in before, maybe the lawyers freaked out or something. Activision isn't a bear you want to poke. The above is just speculation. Maybe they'll show up later <

Who doesn't have like 32GB of RAM these days? I mean they give away DDR4 sticks in Kinder Suprises and Crackerjack boxes :) The # of programmers and artists actually kinda surprised me. I thought there would be more employees but I guess you're just ultra efficient with stuff! I'm a bit suprised by now that mulit-threaded programming wasn't more ubiquitous as a skillset? I mean I remember back in the day finding something with a heartbeat to do low-latency/real

System Requirement Updates As you know we've been working on optimizing the game's assets due to the vast amount of great artwork we want to showcase. It's been tough but we've been able to really nail down some system requirements that makes sense Minimum : CPU - 16-way Xeon Intel - Minimum 4 physical slot CPU configuration Memory - 128GB GPU - Tri-SLI Titan (Pascal architecture only) Recommended: Dual Mon
Not sure if this was already discussed, but if we have environments tied to difficulty, and a low number of overall environments, isn't there a risk that players will basically be funneled to certain environent types during the early, mid, and late game? I'm guessing there will be some diversity involved and the Easy/Med/Hard categories might just represent a general tendency, but still: Early game players will be i

Its time again for Fake Progress Notes! 1) A cold front from Canada has been particularly vicious. In order to keep our DOTA2 server up we needed to burn most of the concept art and design documents to keep warm. in hind sight this was perhaps not a great idea. The server hard drives probably would have burned longer. 2) Continued work on the AI is progressing nicely. We even think the AI may be sentient. Or maybe we're watching too much Westworld? Well there's certain

I guess can we either 1) Fix the problem where the white spaces in the name cause most browsers to barf when trying to download the stuff from the Vault? 2) Just don't put whitespaces in the name from the get-go so the vault downloads actually download properly I mean sure I can just rename the files to zip and make it work and all. But it seems silly

The new object oriented stuff you're working on in addition to these modding tools I hope will allow the community to build upon the foundation of the game

Least we have some general timelines for stuff. I'm not holding them to it as teh gamedev gods are capricious. But still its exciting stuff :) Also since I actually like sausage and charcuterie is it weird that I 'like' how the sausage is made? :P
What Steam does now is have a display for reviews with options for ones bought on steam and product activation as well as the option to see both. The question is how they would handle it for ones bought before early access started (ie bought today or anytime before EA as well as keys for the people who couldn't get a Steam key from the get go). That is a major question. It seems that keys bought and activated

Really until I see more gameplay whether a minimap is relevant or not is a bit of a toss up. You could use a mini-map or you could simply have 'sensor arrows' that point to specific resources off screen. The better your sensors the farther they can see and the more resources you can track. Having 'too many' mini-maps in different modes can create confusion if you're not extremely careful about hwo you design the UI. Because your brain will see the mini map but may

I guess my issue is more that there's too many Pinned threads that the entire top fold is basically pinned threads. Generally I've seen Steam forums address this by creating the 'landing' forum page be the stickies, then the 'main' forum has like 1-2 ultra current/relevant stickies. Thta's obviously a bit harder here though.

Note this is NOT a complaint about the price just to get that out of the way. But what I did notice is that the founders edition will be priced at $35 USD. I think that's a pretty good price point. I did have a question though about that price point and the budget of the game. In one of the previous Founder posts they talked about how this was Stardock's biggest budget game to date, that was larger than several other games combines (i'm paraphrasing but so don'
