Hmm...not sure I like the idea of no wrap-around and it being just an out-of-bounds area, but then again, I haven't played it. Is there a possibility of a ship being "cornered" in the out of bounds area? If so, will that affect game play negatively? Just food for thought (from someone who hasn't seen anything yet!)
Why Towson? In one of the quirks of the game industry, Towson Maryland is ground zero of a good chunk of the PC game industry. Firaxis is here. Bethesda is here. Big Huge Games is here. I've filled in the survey. So who exactly do I need to murder.. I mean how do I skip the queue... I mean... am I accepted yet? :) on a bit of a side note, assuming I'm not 100% sure if I filled in the survey fully, if I fill it in again would that be a bad thing? I'm not tryin gto vote stuff (though that would be a fun thing to do...) I just want to make sure I'm doing what I can to be accepted appropriately. I mean aside from hacking Survey Monk

Like I said I don't have a beef either way. I'm just curious how they're handling things since this would be their first major console title. And patches work VERY differently there than on Steam. Steamworks is a veritable developer paradise compared to the restrictive BS o

Im still curious if Nvidia can address what appears to be a fundamental archictecture problem with how Nvidia cards work? Note this is from my super laymans interpretation what was the initial controversy over DX12 benchmarking.
So far, I'm not having any issues with GC3 in Windows 10. Guess I just got lucky.
Its probably not an issue if you clean install the game. Since that will trigger all the appropriate vcredists and such. Anyone who upgraded to win10 while having galciv3 installed will probably have issues. Some other games are having similar issues where the lack of the existing vcredists causes crashes and other weird things
If anyone is having issues with Win10 and GalCiv3 1) Run Steam an administrator. Mods are incoming. They're working on polishing up the tools so they're more usable for normal people. internally you can say things like "Hey dont press Enter or your computrer will explode" not so much for external users
The opt-in branch is identical to the mainline 1.1 so its no different
Running windows 10 probably isnt helping either But for a 6GB system the OS is going to take up half probably 2 GB-ish. Then the game itself will run around 2-3 GB depending on teh map size.

Hi Brad I have high hopes for the AI in GalCiv3. You've talked extensively about it and I think it bears repeating. We're now basically 'crowdsourcing AI'. As a base example, look at how Forza 5 does it http://www.gamespot.com/articles/how-forza-5-is-crowd-sourcing-artificial-intelligence/1100-6409975/
