The problem with trying to monkey around with fleet formations/settings is that everyone wants something different. They can't add everything that people might want, so they provide a basic formation and the player gets to do the rest.
of course they cant add what everyone wants, but that's not what was suggested. Making carriers wait at the edge of a grav well would be a great example of universal satisfication for

and seriously the 40 to 30 dollars I will be required simply will not make its way to the makers if Rebellion is not CRAMMED full of good ideas. Aeon suggested we have new fleet management options. I agree. I also think there needs to be a way to mass scuttle, which should simply already be there. There are alot of good ideas I've been hearing. They need to be in Rebellion.

Think of it this way. If the ability was 150 damage to all hostile ships in a wide area with a refresh of 60 seconds, and assuming that shield mitigation and armor didn't exist for the sake of argument, it would take a full 3 minutes to pop th

This whole piracy thing is in the same topic of gun ownership. Gun ownership laws simply should not exist in my opinion, because criminals dont give a damn about the law, and will find ways around it. It is tragic when one man with an ak47 goes on a killing rampage and causes alot of shit for families and stuff, but you dont need to make it worse for innocent people who simply want to protect themselves. In the same sense, pirates will find ways around steam if they are skilled enough (o

And if titans arent going to be an uber unit, then id like to see them have some unique abilities that can be implemented strategically to make up for that, but capital ships already do that, and every rts needs an uber unit.
Well, firstly, the part of my post that you quoted had more to do with superweapon vs superweapon. Not with the tactical applications of a superweapon. Secondly, unless a planet is defended by a starbase and is also difficult to for the enemy to reach in the first place, you probably shouldn't be slapping superweapons down onto it. Furthermore, it would have been easier to simply due massed carrier strikes.

Alright cat.
Third, preset skirmish, though an interesting idea, isn't likely to happen. It requires too much engine change that the devs have already stated will not happen.
What im suggesting is not an engine changer. What I meant is that the devs simply create a map in which the three factions start in a location in par with the storyline, and then each has a sort of quick start simulating the action each
Another new idea I read was the concept of ship carrying vessels. I love that idea! Imagine an immense ship capable of carrying 30 or so frigates or 5-10 cap ships. They would be completely unarmed but heavily armored. That would be such an epic sight. Of course it would be kind of impractical, but it could serve a role. Maybe they can't phase jump. But maybe they can, and are really, really, REALLY slow and must come to a complete s

The thing is, lawnmower did admit some things he said were impractical, before and after the "ass", there was no need for all that bashing, and long paragraphs, Ugh. Hey, maybe they already fixed this, but it seems there is an experience points issue when battling pirates. I could be wrong. So anyway, maybe a new feature could allow the game to purchase more metal and crystal for you. This would be a toggled feature, and would save you from having to exit a tech screen to balance it out yourself. If it simply bought stuff automatically for you, that would be enough I guess, but if they wanted to do more they could make it intelligent enough t

with that whole module armor or whatever buisness, I have not seen why ogrevs are needed. They are much less armored than kodiaks and get raped by strike craft, so do ogrevs do more damage than 22? or were you suggesting they add module armor to the game because it isnt already there? good point about the titans by the way.
