Mighty Mighty Bosstones - "The Impression that I Get"
kthxbye
Erm... coming to this as an AMD user, and fan, I have to say: "Fraid not." http://www17.tomshardware.com/cpu/20030217/cpu_charts-21.html#benchmarks_under_windows_xp
Well, if you're talking about Prescott - it's looking like it'll be a nice little chip. 1 MB L2 cache, 800Mhz bus, enhanced hyperthreading ability to possibly scale to 4-5Ghz. It's still just a standard x86 processor that uses existing OSes and all that though. Still, Intel's gotten back into the position of making AMD play one heck of a job of catch up.
Prescott's just the new P4 core, isn't it?
Agreed Jam. I've had nothing but good luck with NAV. Heck - I've never had a problem with any of the Norton's utilities actually. I love my copy of Systemworks. I'd cry if I couldn't use speeddisk and had to go back to using MS' defrag (which doesn't do /nearly/ as well on an NTFS volume as Norton!)
I couldn't select just one group if I had to either... Dropkick Murphys The Toasters Less Than Jake Front Line Assembly Haujobb Decoded Feedback The Vandals Icon of Coil L'Âme Immortelle Charlie Parker Reverend Horton Heat Tony Benett Sinatra KMFDM / mdfmk Henry Rollins Die Krupps Yeah, there's a short list of my faves. ^_^
Quoth the Feline: "feline offers to hide you feline considers asking why you dont want elf to see you are posting here perhaps this is due to one of those things that go on outside of the chocolate planet?" Oooh, hiding is good! But - I saw a few posts later that Elfkura already spotted me - so, any hiding would be moot? So, I'll just offer scritches and not that it's because I told the Elf that I'm never seen on /any/ 'Marathon' threads! ^_^ I also think I need
Oh - I didn't get anything wrong. Forgot I'd deleted the part about the etymology - since, well, it was totally irellevant to my post! Man I am so /not/ awake. It's time for bed. night! O.o
Oops! I got it wrong. 'cifre' was the medieval latin, derived from the Arabic 'sifr'. ^_^
Heh - so I went and looked - all of my dictionaries show both. It may even be a regional thing in the US - but generally, throughout my life, 'cipher' has been considered 'wrong'. Though both 'gray' and 'grey' are perfectly acceptable. And to be honest - before you mentioned it, I couldn't have even told you which was the US english spelling, and which one wasn't. We were taught in school that both were equals. Much like 'ax' and 'axe'.
Only if any of those Britney pics had her with a dolphin! Or Jessica Alba... ^_^
/me gets freaked out about this third person stuff sometimes too - but has been known to do it away from the computer sometimes. ^_^
You'd be better off with a Powerbook anyway. Much nicer than the iBooks. ^_^
@shu... decypher is actually the correct spelling of 'decypher'. 'decipher'is not. ^_^
/me really gets scared when everyone starts talking in the 3rd person... ^_^
*snickers* Well, it turns out I'm not evil at all! "You are Insane" go me. ^_^
/me hugs a Shmoopy? Hope everything looks up for you - depression's not good! (And just call me Captain Obvious. O.o)
Oops - didn't notice that there was a page 2. Wow - behind on a thread. me! Imagine! *snorts*
Apple's probably going through another wave of crackdowns. They go through fits of being possessive of the OSX 'look'. I know they sent a cease & desist letter to one of the Aqua sites... AquaSoft was it?
"Actually, asking to be a Wizop is pretty much the best to make sure you never become one." Ooooh - in that case... Can I be a wizop??? There - that's one less stress I have to ever worry about in the future! ^_^ /me exits, stage right. VERY quickly.
At least he /does/ have the right idea. He's not giving up, and he's not just going to let his walls sit. when you do a lot of work, it's always good to have your own site to show them off on too! ^_^
As they've said, yes. You -can- generally write a personal cheque out for foreign currency (I've written US cheques in Canadian dollars and UK Pounds before,) but it's sometimes a hassle. Your best bet is to get your bank to draw up a money order or cashier's cheque, or whatever they'd want to do. ^_^
That -is- the problem with forums like this, or the Stardock newsgroups. They -are- where people who are having problems go, after all! So, naturally, you get to see all of the nasty horror stories and problems, and they seem like they outnumber the few good stories that you hear. More than any other Stardock programs, I use Windowblinds (have been since like, version 1.x or something - though only as a registered user for the past year or so?) CursorXP and IconPackager. With the ex
"maybe they fixed the later ones...? " I couldn't say if they have or haven't - I bought it in the first couple of days after its release however. I guess I've just been lucky! ^_^
BlutEngel - "Children of the Night" I really need to bring more CDs downstairs - I'm starting to get predictable!
