Yeah - somehow I totally managed to miss the one post by him where he was asking. *^_^*
kthxbye
Same here. My laptop surprised me with how quickly it will do renderings and the like. It's nothing compared to Peff's though; Toshiba Satellite 1415 - 1.8Ghz Celeron, 256MB, 30MB HD, 16 MB GeForce 4, DVD/CDRW. But mine only cost about 1/3rd of what Peff paid for his. ^_~ It's still nothing compared to my desktop though (which is 'only' an Athlon XP 1700+)
Immersive? Bah. I like my shell to simply load up, take up next to no ram, and then let me forget that it even exists. ^_~
OH! I just now saw Dark Mist's question... the "How do you do those links anyway?" one. You just type it in - and the backend automagically converts it in the Link that we see. http://www.fakelink.com see?
Litestep! Nooo! Try out Blackbox first! it'll be, er, newer, for you! Though - with as quickly as you bounce back and forth between stuff - it might be a little too minimalistic, too. ^_^
An IOU? Man! How's a friend supposed to make a living in this day and age!?
Peff - yeah, Virtualplastic's one of the better resources out there, that's for sure. ^_^
Sure! Would you prefer monthly or quarterly billing for that? ^_^ I'll also mail off the information packet with my birthday, other important dates and best gift ideas in it.
STFW. Google is your friend. Background: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=103327 or http://www.virtualplastic.net/html/logo_scr.html#5 Virtualplastic's your friend too. ^.^
I keep downloading more and more skins - but at the same time, I keep finding myself going back to Chiffre for everyday use. To me, it's simply perfection. ^.^ Custom-colours beautifully too.
Well then! I may stand corrected! ^_^ All I know is there was no mention of a trial version of Bryce 5 on the Corel homepage.
Corel owns Bryce now - and there isn't a trial version. Sorry. If it's the landscape type stuff you're wanting - I'd recommend Terragen.
"One you lock the target, Two you bait the line, Three you slowly spread the net, and Four you catch the man." Front 242 - "Headhunter" Heck yeah I'm going to watch it! "horribly cheesy" + "Loosely HP Lovecraft" = insane fun. ^_^
Funker Vogt - "Killing Fields" Just killing time waiting for Dagon to come on. Man, what a horribly cheesy movie. ^_^
Yes - but it's Angelica Huston, the actress. ^_^
Hrm - in Photoshop you'd simply make a pattern, that was, say, the bottom and right side of the grid - and from there you can apply it to your picture and play with transparencies and blend modes. I'm sure PSP allows user defined patterns - but I haven't a clue, since I don't use it. Anybody?
Look! something relatively different again! Mighty Mighty Bosstones - "Mr. Moran" (actually, all of A Jackknife to a Swan.) "Mr. Moran, that's who I am, some call me Sal, some call me Sam, some call me when they're in a jam, 'cause I'm the man, I'm Mr. Moran."
Funker Vogt - "Gunman" (But I'll spare you the lyrics. ^_^)
"Why do people think they are F1 materail when drunk is what gets me?" Wow, IPlural - you couldn't have gotten that one more incorrect, if you ask me! People tend not to think at /all/ when they're drunk, of course! ^_^
Funker Vogt - "A New Beginning" /me finally brought something else down from upstairs. ^_~
Wow - more and more off topic - but Hoverdesk is -fun-. I don't use it as much, since I started using the Windows version of blackbox - but I still love it.
/me notices the Xymox and VNV Nation in IPlural's screenshot. Sweet. /me forgets that the rest of the theme is even there - it's all priorities. ^_^
You want a screenshot of my linux desktop? Just look at my desktop picture on here. Minus 2 plugins (the bottom system bar, and the multiamp plugin on the left,) my desktop in Linux looks identical to my desktop in Windows (which is what the screenshot's of.) (Well, I don't have CursorXP or Windowblinds in Linux/Blackbox either - but you don't need ém. ^_^)
Decoded Feedback - "Prophecy" People who look at this thread shouldn't be surprised. ^_^
"Green cocktail olive stuffed with pimento " Scary thing is, sig101 - I like that idea... put a toothpick through it. ^_^
