Hi, Well, im in a delima, haha, i guess that is normal lately, with trying to decide between a quad desktop or a dual laptop, but wanted to ask if Sins will run on windows 64? Both computers are running it, and the guy at the store of course says yes, of course, but they sometimes say anything to sell something. So wanted to ask what people are running here. Not only that, another delima, but Windows 7 is "supp

:) Thank you for the nice info.... i will look at the compaq. :) And i suppose you are right about laptops in general, a desktop is always more for the money than laptops, although i was hoping to get one so i could have it for my own. When i had a desktop, i would come home and someone was always using it. :) Haha, well... i suppose that is to be expected. :) Thanks for the info and will keep looking. Saw a nice Gateway desktop, Quad for $509 at Best

Not yet, i have been without a pc for almost a month now, and do get on at school, but that only means posts like this, but with no game or mod files to work with :( haha, but hoping to change that in the next week or so, as i am getting a financial aid check and i wanted to get a pc for home, so i dont have to live in the lab anymore, haha, but good idea, a test ship with changed settings might be interesting to test. :) -Teal

I havent picked up the game yet, but to be honest with all your hard work im rather impressed and am now thinking of picking it up when i get my laptop in about two weeks. With DemiGod and Sins on one laptop plus my homework, i think i will be maxed out. :) Thank you for the hard work, and dont be discouraged, i for one, wouldnt have really thought about Demi-God if i hadn't read how hard you were working on it to make it succeed. That to me is worth buying a game for.&n

:) OS/2 i have seen, my grandfather still has a copy in a box, i think the pc it was on is gone though. MAC is now the new unix and "feels" nice to move around in, very very nice to use. Better hardware specs too on their pc's even though they are higher priced, but i suppose if i wanted a bmw or a ford, i could always say i was overspending. :) Windows 7 looks like the first version M$ has gotten really right since 98SE, though its still early to tell, all the rev

After all the work and effort the Devs put into it? FOr just a measy $10? Definately yes!!! It is VERY WORTH IT!!!!! after all, lets say you bought HomeWorld several years ago, ok? And then Catacylsm comes out, and it was the same price as the first game, was it worth it? Heck yes!!! And now you buy SOASE, and you get Entrenchment, PLUS you get THE SECOND EXPANSION, PLUS YOU GET THE THIRD EXPANSION, for the same price as HomeWorld plus Cataclysm. NOW IS THAT

Since i dont have a computer with the game, or with my modding tools, this is a brief discription of an idea that someone else may want to give a try until i can get back together with my stuff. :) The idea is to take the levelable weapons which the turrets have and use that as a base for capitals and frigates and cruisers. This may be fairly easy to do (i am hoping) :) The second part of levelable engines is something im not sure is doable without the Devs, or the

:) Very nice idea, and perhaps not too difficult to produce. I would like to see this in game. As an add-on, it would be nice to see your "planet history" idea applied to "ships" as well. :) "CapitalShip 'Arkov BattleShip' has a long and proud history as the FlagShip of the homeworld fleet and the central capitalship of the government for the Arn Consortium during its first three primary battles against the Ahm Mahn Advent and Kree Ahl Vasari invasions as

Hope its not in the wrong forum, i am usually talking about modding, instead of laptops, but i once (two or three months ago) put a question on the general forum and it took 4 days for anybody to say anything. :) haha, well... i know the people here and not anyone on any of the others and hoped i could get a quick response (which you all are wonderful for!!) and that it would be people i know. :) With regards to chillmats, yes, it definately sounds like t

:) Have still been looking, havent got it yet, but im getting close. I want to get it for the summer, by next month hopefully. Of course i would probably do better at school if i waited until after summer, haha, but im really hoping in the next few weeks. Thanks for the response. I dont need anything really powerful, and the fact that i can use it around the house, instead of being tied to the computer desk is very nice. :) Thanks and take care, <

I've been thinking of getting a laptop, nice way to have a pc for myself, and wondered how long it would be possible to keep Sins running on a laptop without overheating? I've heard overheating is very pretty much usual thing with laptops. But since i mod alot, the game itself only runs about 30 percent of the time, the other 70 percent im listening to music and tweaking files. :) Anyway, i saw an entry level Compaq at BestBuy and it looked like a good deal, its $

:) the levels cover at level 0 30% and at level 1 50% and at level 3 80% Some mods start at level 1 values at level 0, so you get something like this: level 0 50%, level 1 70% and level 2 90% Other mods, or other modders have tweaked the values to level 0 65% level 1 85% and level 2 100%. So for all practical purposes if you can live to the second level you get an invulnerable planet. :) Counter for this of course would be to make the shield generat

:) Why couldn't MP be played with it? And i dont think Balance has to be hard. Yes, some combinations are going to rule, and others may take more subtlety to play, but it might mix up the game in that out right domination doesnt have to be the only way to win. It isnt the only way to win right now with the game as it is, but i just thought the capability to slot abilities into your ships could really make things interesting. In MP it might be that one team member is all da
