I think Capital Ships should have a kamikaze ability. Mutually assured destruction. The (Insert Name Here) is going down! "RAMMING SPEED!"

.11 still crashes for me. *sigh* Guess I'm waiting for another few months again.
@ boshimi I'm terribly sorry about coming to the mod idea ten years late. Not my fault I had no idea about the ins and outs and sorry that I felt it a necessity to figure out whether or not it was doable. If you called it Manticore: Battle of Honor, it would be about what? Oh, a Manticore--a mystical hybrid creature that may or may not reference to a novel written by a popular sci-fi author. Furthermore, I don't see how that word is copyrighted, or that battle
DW CANNOT let it pass if it is brought to his attention as that would endanger his copyrights. The only thing he could do (as he explained in the FAQ) is to pretend he never learned of it by never again visiting any forum it's discussed in. What this means, is that all that needs to be done is a name change. Instead of calling it "Honor Harrington," call it something like "Manticore: Battle of Honor" and go crazy
I contacted Baen about this. Turns out that David Weber is actually the cause for the cease and desist.
Baen sucks. What's the problem with making a mod? If anything it enhances sales of the books themselves. People who have never read the books before come across the mod, enjoy it, and get curious about the lore. It's a "duh" thing.
Sorry, I hit post before I was done. Then I had to go to the bathroom. IP = Intellectual Property I assume? David Weber has released the board game that he has used to simulate the space battles in the books. I happen to have a copy. It's a pity that he would keep his fans from building something amazing. The SINS platform would be perfect, or close to it. Although the scale might be a little more difficult, considering that ever
I'm sorry for the forum necrosis here, but I was trying to find a mod in the honorverse. Damn. :/
WC was my first video game too. Too bad its so outdated. I managed to get my hands on a SNES copy and it was miserable terrible... I have no idea how I managed to beat the game through my SNES. Later I had it on computer. 1, 2, 3, and whatever was after that. I remember the behemoth being destroyed before my eyes, having to kill Hobbes, and of course dropping the bomb on Kilrah. It was all freaking amazing. Too bad its a bigone era and nobody seems to like space
Vasari, Huge Ring map on Rebellion. Same issue. 20 minutes in it crashes. Nuts! However, this time it conveniently crashed right when I clicked on the new Vasari battleship to build.
Sparda, all I did was say "it crashed." And it looks like myfist0 just gave the reason.
Alright Ryat, I'll go do a random map and see if the issue persists.
I just downloaded it. So whatever version is the most recent download. I was playing a random map. Whatever Diplomacy is. I don't know. It's been running for a couple of hours w/o issue now. You could try sounding not so much like a jackass. You could have gone from this:
That is completely useless information. What map were you using, what version of Sins were you using, and which version of SoA were you using?
</
Minidump. Didn't even make it out of my home gravity well....
There's no crash data. No minidump on this particular crash. Give me an email address to send a save game too. If that will help figure it out I would be more than happy to do so. It takes twenty minutes, almost on the dot, every time, for it to crash. Stared game at 12:40. It died at 1:00. Map was Black 5. Playing Tec Rebels.
Force crash about an hour in. :s edit: Another crash. Takes about half an hour. *sigh*
*Facepalm* I can't believe that. I was going through the process and taking screenshots of everything. No changes in the process mind you. And it enables without the minidump.
Minidump. I'm not sure what else to tell you beyond "applied Alpha .1, then .1 extras, then Better gas giants." And it failed.
Redownloading the 1.031 with the DS Update and Minimods. Will try again. Popping it into the 1.04 mod folder. Unless there's an actual "1.04" download somewhere that just isn't complete.
Quoting Leuthesius, reply 7774Is there a process for getting the 1.04 to work? Mine's all no worky. You need the standard mod installed correctly. Then un-zip the new 1.04 mod files over the others. Make sure the old and new mod files are all within the *newly created* "Mods Rebellion 1.04" folder as opposed to the old "Mods Rebellion 1.03" folder. Then just enable in the in-game mods menu.
<
Is there a process for getting the 1.04 to work? Mine's all no worky.
I'm hoping 1.04 will be up soon. That blurb with the link was no worky, nor with the update. *cry* I want real titans with DS!
Doesn't work. :(
I just want Sins ported to x64. Somehow.
Just played this mod on Diplo. Played Asuran. Jesus Christwagons. One single battleship (the one with 95 supply). No upgrades. Waltzed into a gravity well and destroyed everything without trying. Did so repetitively. Got to the point where I would send in a single battleship in with everything automatic with a destiny class following. SOOOOO OP. I'll wait for the Rebellion mod. Hope you guys get more skins and balance taken care of. Al
