I notice in the latest patch, I'm getting studdered framerates and sound at random times. Anyone notice this? I never receive this in the beta and first week. My theory is that during the beta, the game sometimes have long 5 second pauses randomly. Maybe it's trying to talk to some server. Now instead of long random 5-10 second pauses, I'm getting 5-10 seconds of studdered framerates and sound. Which is better than the lon

My estimated guess for WoW:Lich King weekly sales are 20k. This is the number WoW:Burning crusader sold weekly 2 years ago. So Demigod sold less than 20k, my guess is 15k. Some article once said Digital distribution is the same amount as retail, and Frogboy said that's where the majority of the sales are. So I'm guess 25k in Digital. Which brings it total of 40k first week sales as my guess. I could be way off... This guess numbe
Wait another week. online is still crappy.
Very good interview. replay and observer mode may becoming... Tower Defense mode sounds awesome!!! I wish it would talk about custom mod support. Stardock wanted single player in there. If it was multiplayer only, the game would have been cheaper to make and buy.
I was hoping Demigod will get #1. Empire:TW was first place on it's launch week. My guess is that #1 WoW Lich King gets about 20k sales based on past WoW:burning crusade weekly sales. Lets hope it's very close between 3rd and 1st place.
I agree it's broken right now. It's mostly 2v2. I think they are fixing the online connection first, then we'll get more 5v5 games.
The game crashes alot more often during rush hour (when lots of people are playing at night). I crash less in the morning.
The 30% number that gets flawless connetions into multiplayer game seems kinda high. Especially from the explaination on the NAT errors you get, but I guess it doesn't matter. Your explanation seems to say that people would get better connections when there are less people. I kinda agree, as I seem to play better in the morning USA time when there are less people. It also explains getting connected with friends is pretty random and just pure luck.
It has been 2 weeks since launch. There are still issues and I can play a 3v3 game at most. No 4v4 or 5v5. Also trying to get a 3v3 game takes like 15 minutes. Everyday this isn't fix, they are losing more customers for this game and future games.
It sucks when a 3rd party program works better than their impulse nat connector. Gameranger doesn't even have reflection/proxy servers. So I'm not sure if reflection/proxy servers is going to help impulse.
NPD pc sales for week 4/12 - 4/18. http://www.cinemablend.com/games/US-PC-Sales-Demigod-Gets-The-Bronze-17132.html Demigod gets 3rd place. My guess is that WoW:Lich King gets about 20k sales a week just like Burning Crusader 2 years ago.
I hope $10 stardock credit at impulse or 75% off another copy of demigod.
http://www.cinemablend.com/games/US-PC-Sales-Demigod-Gets-The-Bronze-17132.html
Thanks for the numbers. The numbers look decent. I was hoping it was going to pass WoW and Sims for #1 spot. DoW2 and Empire was #1 for a few weeks last month. Lets hope it has legs (stay in the top 10 npd for a long time).
It's great to hear that you like the map. Most of the comments I read have been negative about the maps. The negative comments are: 1. Maps are plain or all very similar. Yes they look awesome but gameplay wise is the same. 2. No trees or forrest to hide and gank 3. No 3d level, like climb a hill, lets demigods from high level get more damage and view advantage. All this comes from dota I guess. In my own opinion, the maps a
This happens when working with low budget companies I guess. I think 1 more month in testing the nat connection would have helped.
I used to play dota and I love this game. It's really fun and I don't have to do last hitting like in dota.
Is this a joke?
Me too, The game has crashed on me 4 times already.
I spent 1 hour last night to play a 15min game. Time is up. Stardock lost, although they never wanted to bet anyways. Hopefully it's all well and good next week.
There are only about 20,000 legit users playing online. The game hasn't sold more than 100,000 copies yet, which usually takes 3 weeks like Sins of a solar empire. 120k number was from pirates and pirates won't effect the proxies servers.
sadly the patch doesn't fix much except give more error messages. Some error messages like getting "kicked" aren't correct.
Nice, 4 out of 5 star.
The 3 gamestops near my place, boston, has been sold out of Demigod since launch(1 week). Are they going to get restock soon? I know they broke the street date and maybe you are still working out some deals with them. It will be good to restock them soon as it leads to loss sales.
Hmm, the health bars always seem to show up for me I think. What's annoying is that these aren't in the settings or they aren't saved. So at the start of every game, I have to hit tilde 4 times. Or they should just allow UI mods. They were enabled in beta but not sure why they disabled it. Custom UI mods allow you to make those bars bigger, display mana, and anything else.
You read the gamespot review and still bought the game? Anyway, thanks for doing the right thing. +1 karma for you.
