In Demigod, there were a few times that it was obvious that I lost the game. I just sat at the healing crystal and alt-tab out to surf the internet. Since it's beta, I stayed in the game to be nice. If this was after release day with thousands of players, I would have quit right away and look for the next game.

It will depends on Demigod sales. If sales are high, then we'll get them for free. Also if custom mods are added later, people can create their own demigods like dota.

What? Stardock wasn't invited to be part of OnLive? I want to play Demigod and Elemental on OnLive. Not that I want to since I heard you can play elemental on netbooks anyways.
The game checks the version at startup and notifies the player if an update will be needed to play online, so this is probably just an unforseen issue with that. Nothing to do with DRM.
That check should be done when the player clicks on multiplayer like all other online games. Definitely a bug.

I only played one game on 3/26 but it shows up twice on the games list http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/games/player/11440/ Game #1 and #2 are the same game. It was 2v2 all humans. Then near the end of the game, my computer froze for 3 seconds and I was disconnected from everyone. I continue to play the game with everyone becoming AI and won the game. I thin

IGN has an article about what games to buy this spring for the PC. Demigod gets picked along with 20 other games. http://pc.ign.com/articles/965/965387p6.html I think I'll get Sims3 for my sister.

I had long matches on Crucible as well. It's the map I hate the most and I understand why it would take 1+ hour. Buying teleport scrolls and warpstone is a must on this map.

I read somewhere that demos don't help sales much or in some cases hurt sales for xbox live games. People would try the demo, and then not buy the game. If the demo didn't exist, more people will end up buying it.

Only 1 million dollars to make Sins and GalCiv2. I guess they are small budget games. $1mil only gets you about 10 people for 1 year. "$8 million in revenue" which equals about 200,000 copies of Sins sold. Not bad. Lets hope Demigod will do better.
I haven't played in a long time and I'm sure the game has made a lot of progress since I last tried it.
I thought you returned the game and got some parts of your refund. You still have beta access?
5) How large is the playerbase? To start from the beginning, I've heard of this game on the Battleforge
There were around 6,000 people in the beta if you look at the pantheon stats page. Demigod seems more popular than Battleforge. Lets use IGN's gamestat page, although I'm not sure how accurate it is. Battleforge release this week is rank #153. BF should be in top 10 like all other games during it's release week. Maybe BF isn't as

I wish this exist too. In other games, people just quit to surrender. In demigod, even when people quit, they become the AI and we still have to play through the whole game. This makes games longer...
