Actually, this game is very similar to DoW2 since you like Dow2. In DoW2, you pick a commander and you get to level up that commander, pick which skills he gets, and pick what kind of armor/weapon he gets. Demigod is the same thing, except the whole game you only control 1 commander and nothing else. There is no base building like in DoW2. In DoW2, you find yourself capturing areas, running to another area and capping that area. Demi

It is too late to change anything. What they have decided is going to be around with the game forever. It would be a waste of time and money to change over to anything else. As for the current peer to peer setup, it's just ok. If you have a slow computer or slow network then it ruins the game for everyone else. Last night I was playing with someone with a simspeed of -1, I quit the game 5 minutes in because it was too laggy.

I will be very surprise if after 1 year, they have not announce an expansion pack. Looking at gpg and stardock's history, most of their games have 1 or more expansion packs. Demigod looks to the type of game that can have yearly expansion packs. Their free updates or paid update/expansions will include everything like new demigods, new skills to existing demigods, new maps, new items, balances, etc.

I don't think they ever mentioned new demiogds for day 0. This is only planned and we get them only if Demigod does well in sales. If demigod only sells 10,000 copies, then we probably won't get any new demigods. Also if I remember correctly, they have 4 demigods prototypes. They will select which 2 gets chosen depending on the balance after release. So if they realize the game needs more melee demigods, they will pick the melee one, etc. <p

in MMO analogies. I think Demigod has a chance to become as successful as WoW. WoW doesn't become this successful in 1 day, it took them 5 years. The main recipe for their success is grabbing the casuals. Demigod is geared toward casuals. I think WoW doesn't have the depth but it grabs millions of casual players. You'll get bored in WoW end content as well. It's gotten better through expansion packs but I still find it boring once you reached max leve

Connectivity does seem better in beta 3d. I was able to play two 5v5 games this weekend. In the past 5v5 usually never even start successfully or 5v5 gets very laggy.

Use rook, warpstone in to avoid his mines. Boulder roll and hammer slam. Rook is good against him only after Rook reaches level 10 and above.

The game is fun when you win. But when you play against good players, I just want to throw the laptop out the window. It is almost a one hit stun kill in most games. As for the netcode, I think it's ok. Right now it's hard to get more than 3v3 game going. I did play a full 5v5 game but just too laggy. Not good enough for release but I think 1 month time looks about right. so just 1 more month until release 4/14
