Per suggestion in another thread, I'm downloading the Supreme Commander demo to try (the demo is huge though so I'll be a while. If I can get the Demo for it to run fairly well would it be safe to assume Demigod would run the same?
No, I had a slow old computer that ran supcom demo fine but it's very slow for demigod. Besided, the demo for supcom had very few units in it, or atleast I didn't have the patients to make

Wow, so everyone has permissions to post in the journal section now? This should get fix fast!
There will be clan support. The AI computer is pretty stupid in this game since they just comit suicide and give you tons of gold sometimes.
This bug has been in since beta and doesn't work with supreme commander as well. Do a search on comodo for some tips on how to disable some parts of comodo.
You can also click on the Score button at the top. AI players will have 0 ping and 0 simspeed.
NVidea GeForce 8400M GS
Actually no it will not run fine. The 8400M GS is a crappy video card for games. It's best to wait for the demo or wait until someone on this board can run it on the 8400m. Based on the benchmark scores an 8400m get, compared to the minimum desktop 7600 this game requires, 8400m is like half as slow as the desktop version.
Yes, apparently gamestop messed up and started selling the game.
Maybe the collector edition disc are bad. You should install impulse and register your game in Impulse with the cdkey. Then you can download the whole game from Impulse, maybe that will help. This forum kinda sucks, many people are double posting thinking the first one didn't go through, but it's like 1 minute behind.
Any first impressions will be great.
1. Yes, this game is for you 2. Yes, the community is large and active 3. I think the game is great. 4. The game is easy to play, that's what I like about it.
I think that Gamestop can get away with this, They just say it's an error in the computer system. Stardock is a smaller publisher. This happens to alot of other AAA games. At most you would lose $2,000 in lost revenue due to gamestop. Think of it as free advertisement/hype.
I now know what it feels like to not be in the beta. Gamestop's website was correct when they showed 4/9/2009 ship date last week.
Someone else posted that they picked up a copy at gamestop: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=944424&topic=49000512 http://boards.ign.com/demigod/b24152/179081545/p1/?2 Not sure if it's true.
Advantages: Less lag. Also no firewall/router configuration needed, no port forwarding. Disadvatages: It won't work with certain old routers, cable modems or ISPs. I think we will be seeing games names with countries in them: 'USA only 5v5', 'US/CA domination', 'Aus 3v3', etc. Although I have played with people in europe from USA, there are still lag spikes once in a while. I would much rather pick a game within
This is normal. Wait for 4/14
Nothing. It's just a standard policy and recommended to always have the latest greatest patch. It's also easier for customer support to support only XP sp3. Alot of other software and games do this too.
Sorry, we don't generally do midnight releases. Normally we'll begin charging the queued preorders during regular office hours, and users will get access as they're issued serials.
I thought this was all automated or scripted. I guess it's a manual process...
Beta is closed. Come back in 6 days.
Street Fighter 2 had 8 fighters. World of Warcraft had 8 classes on each side. I think Demigod only has 8 because of a budget issue. They don't have that much money and time to create 20 demigods. So 8 is probably ok for a first commercial game. It's not fair to compare it to a dota mod. They plan to add 2 free more free demigods after release for a total of 10. Then add more Demigods depending on how well the game sells. They can'
custom mods support 16 demigods
Demigod's performance is pretty much the same or slightly higher than supcom depending on the map.
What video card do you have? Post your dxdiag information. I got that error because my video card was too old.
What makes the release date even more confusing is that every website shows a different date. Even impulse themselves at http://www.impulsedriven.com Search for demigod and then you see release date 4/4/2009 which means the game is out. Then click to get more description and it shows 4/14/2009.
No, your computer will not run this game well. You'll need a better graphics card. Your cpu and memory is on the borderline minumum so it's not worth upgrading your videocard to play this game.
Depends where you live in the world. In USA, it's 4/14/2009 No matter where you live, you can preorder on impulse, download, and play it on 4/14.
