pick skirmish mode, that should get you real players and no ai bots.

Thanks. A game needs to get 24+ fps for the game to look smooth. I'm glad you got near 30fps with an 8400m but only on small maps. As for playing big maps and getting slow fps, it's normal. You probably need to restart Demigod after playing a big map so your fps will go back to normal. A big map has 3 times as many towers and minions. So it needs to calculate and draw each one regardless of your zoom.
Can you tell me how many frames per second you are getting at the lowest setting? I really like to know how an 8400m performs. It also depends on which map, some maps have better fps. The 5-10 lag you are getting should go away once Stardock servers are updated even for single player game i think. To find out your frames per second, hit / on the numpad when you are playing the game.
It's a bug in the game. The manual will be in the next patch. For now, get it here: https://www.stardock.com/demigodmanual.pdf https://www.stardock.com/demigodmanual.pdf
It's call war rank. It increases slowly over time by capturing more flags. The more flags you have, the faster your war rank will go up.
It is sad to hear that a company needs to care for the warez people. I know you want them to have a good experience so they end up buying the game as well. Nex time you'll know to have those new data servers ready even before release date even if it's expensive to rent them. Good luck.
I think the game is great. The game hasn't come out yet until tomorrow so we don't know how many people are online. I'm guessing about 1,000 active online users.
I agree with you for skirmish mode. BUT you can do arrange team in custom games and custom games are ranked as well.
Great job, thanks. Shouldn't you guys get good friday off instead of Monday? Great game so far.
Yes, you'll get it about 12 hours from now.
Any dual core processor is fine. His bottleneck is the graphics card. The x1600 is for a desktop x1600. The laptop version is usually 1/3 as slow. Try turning off all background programs. Turn sound to low settings if you haven't already.
Reading all the early gamespot buyers impressions, it seems 100% of them are all satisfied. I haven't read a post that said anything majorly negative about the game in all the forums.
I would like a random select button so i don't have to make decisions.
They can't announce it, otherwise it will be disadvantage to them on their next business negotiation. I wonder if it'll reach the top 10 NPD pc weekly sales chart for a week. The NPD has been dominated by mostly WoW and Sims.
My first "wow!" moment came the 2nd game I played as the rook. I leveled up his archer tower ability, and I couldn't believe how cool all the arrows raining down on the enemies looked. Just a constant barrage of dozens and dozens of arrows.
Sadly I have yet to experience this after doezens of games I played. I can only play this only on low settings and don't really see those arrows that well.
You'll get it Monday 4/13 12pm Eastern Standard Time.
No. But it does run it. you'll get like 3 frames per second. I had an ati 9600 and I got like 1 fps.
I think we are talking about $2,000 worth of loss. probably at most 100 preordered people bought it at gamestop instead of stardock. Hardly worth a lawsuit or anything. It's more of a prestige or rightous thing. Bestbuy, target, walmart, etc are also at loss here, not just stardock. I think Stardock should make Gamespot take that initial extra 2/3 shipment they backed off on.
The future of demigod should be similar to past Stardock and gas powered games. So take a look at Sins of solar empire and Supreme commander. There are still updates to them and expansion packs. I think Demigod will last more than 5 years.
What cpu, videocard, memory do you have? Try playing a few more games to see if it keeps happening. It might just be some other 3rd party program.
I have a Radeon 1850, or was it 1950? anyways the game lags really bad my cpu is @ 2.4ghz and 2 gig ram i must upgrade which i will, im spending over 200 dollars to play demigod, but in the long run ill have a hd card to along with m 37" hdtv
What cpu is it? If it's single core, then there is your problem. Demigod should run well on any dual core cpu fine at any speed. I had a radeon x1650 car
yea i would like to know as well how the 8400m does. I was very close to buying a dell laptop with 8400m but i didn't want to take the chances of not being able to play demigod.
Even Target sells it now? then it's not gamestops fault at all...
I was just wondering if I need to uninstall the beta version or it will automaticly update to 1.0?
