The only thing Star Trek about STO are the skins. When you have to put a fictional universe typically based on exploration, diplomacy and peace in a constant state of war just to get your game to make sense, you know there is very little trek involved.

Still I am hoping they do more with this than just pimp the entire catalog one at a time on video. I mean this is the kind of thing Nintendo does with it's videos and games on the Wii channel which is about as "unbiased and outspoken" as marketing team hyping a game before releas

It will be interesting to see how they've updated
Normally I say if you don't like it, don't buy it. In this case, I say pirate the hell out of all of their games and flaunt it. I don't care what the other developers and publishers say. If you have this much disdain for the industry you work in and your own customers, you deserve it.

EA shut down most of Maxis, and knowing EA, there're likely to release another crappy spin off like Simcity Societies. What I'd like to do is keep playing Simcity 4, but my card is so new that the modern drivers mess up the graphics. The buildings show up fine, but things that move like cars do n
Totally agreed. All this does is give devs an excuse to hold back content and charge extra for it later. Hell, there are some cases where $60 retail games don't even have a proper ending unless you pay for the DLC! As opposed to expansions, where you spend the whole game being told how you need to stop the three Prime Evils but you can't fight the third one without paying for the $40 expansion which also *happens* to incl
8600 mGT is that part of the faulty chipsets nVidia put out, the ones basically prone to burn out? I know mine is, it's an 8400 and since Dell's response to that mess was to send an BIOS to increase the fan, I don't even try to use it for gaming (wasn't meant to be a gaming rig for me though.)
You have any problems with other games? I mean you said 3rd or 4th map which makes me think you have been playing for awhile. Maybe it's a heat issue that needs to be fixed, for instance your GPU overheating after a bit. Oops I should have read your post better. You said its only L4D, so the other games you're not having an issue with, are they graphically intense aka taxing your GPU much?

I've seen a black bear and a bobcat in person fortunately they are usually seen around here running away from people not at them. There are a couple locals bears too you just call in and let the authority know where they are seen so they can keep tabs. They're a lot more fun looking at photos and on TV. I've heard a cougar before, and when you hear one of them, you just get right back in your car. Still, that is just so cool to see!
You pick Simulation, i would pick Strategy. I think Simluation, I think flight and train sims. If there was a sandbox category, yeah that would work. As it is now, there isn't. And really, i wouldn't pick either one, I would pick something in between. And no, L4D does not "require" cooperation. There is nothing in the game that forces you do to do it. Roll it down to easy or play it solo and nope, nothing comes out the scream and says you "have" to do it. You don't "have" to think ahe
So no, in context, the Sims is NOT a strategy game, despite what the dictionary may tell you. Something is defined not by a book full of words and explanations, but how people think of something. In today's world, dictionaries aren't that helpful, such has been the propagation of connotations, colloquialisms, and jargon. In context, for all those pople arguing with Oxford, that's how we must look at this. [/
Classifying The Sims as a 'strategy' game demeans both the category and The Sims. The Sims requires no continual theory or strategy to be employed; in fact, most players would enjoy the game in a more reactive way as opposed to a pro-active way. There is basic planning required to succeed in whatever your after (friends, career, property, etc.) however calling this basic planning a strategy is beyond reaching in my opinion. [/qu
