there is a reason ironclad/stardock is doing giant space battle games and such... cool (nerdy) people suck at drawing people, but draw awsome weapons of war... all of the stuff was preety much the same style... look how many kol battleship copies and cobalt copies there were in the scene with the starbase... its allthe same style... but drawing shippies with straight lines is much eaiser than people. although... the vasari did look slightly more... i dont know... wierder?
The devs have some uber spreadsheet of balancing... I would like to say... "please share!"... because that would be freaking awsome to see the entire game-theory-balancing-spreadsheet-of-professionals-of-uber-leet-ness... and it would shed a gigantic beam of light on the the illuminator (*snicker*) issue (and every thing else the community whines about) but i dont think it would happen... (but Please show us anyway? [e digicons]:pout:[/e] )
I like the scene where the hummie is yelling at the shrugging/disgusted vasari, who prolly just cant stand the sight of the inferiors... and then there is this space witch, who is observing... and thinking... prolly something along the lines of... "we'll keeeeel you alllll" edit: 0_o the space witch is FREAKING GLOWING... if anyone needed any more proof that the advent are evil... THERE YOU HAVE IT.
Unfortunatly, unless your playing one of a few very special player made maps with watcher spots, the answer is no... and no pug match is ever played on a galaxy forge map... preety much ever. there are many replays of talented players on these forums you can download and watch, and you can learn from them, but you cant talk to them (for obvious reasons). look under the multiplayer section and stratigy section for these sort of threads. I hope that kinda an
which every capital ship is at the highest level is automaticly given the flagship tag... it does nothing, except cosmetics. so... if you have a lv 6 and a lv 7,.... the lv 7 would be the flag ship... but if that lv 6 gets to lv 7, then you dont have a flag ship anymore.
ya. your bypassing thier 60%+ shield mitigation 30% of the time... ya. i dont play your mod that much that i forget that simple stuff. (unless i feel like keeling your pathetic pirates.... teehee)
1. starbase of uber-not-dieing ness... gazillion hp+30 armor+massave regneration +weapon uber effective agaisnt captial ships+MOVING... ok, so bombers still win... but you have "jam weapons" for that. 2. scouts... your scouts are uuuber... well, actually they kinda suck compared to other scouts considering thier fleet supply costs... just liek all the other vasari ships... BUT... you have the ability to caputer neutrals with your scouts!... THIS IS GAME CHANGING... games are won and l
i know... my life has been on pause... I just...cant do anythign but think about "must... have... patch..."
herm... i read the wikipedia article... and apperently the source code for the origional homeworld has been released... and the source code linked from wikipedia... is it possible to complile homeworld from this source? that would be preety awsome. if not, at least, does this mean that the original homeworld is now free? or if not, is there a way to buy it? (without the whole ebay-amazon buying the 10 year old "collector item" box thing)
is that before or after industrial juggarnaut...? after i assume?

hokey... so... I managed to kick out a map... in an ungoldly length of time... in an attempt to visualize my idea... I posted it here https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/365908 ... if you want to take a look at it and tell me how much you love it what you think about it, that would be great. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
ok, now I realize this is not really a mod thing... but I had an idea.. and so I wanted to see what the community thought about it.... but its kinda does the same thing as a mod , cause it creates very different game (hopefully) SO... basicly... I wanted to create a set of maps that might be semi-realistic... and may be able to bring "multi-star" maps to multiplayer... and if it works out ok... maybe i can make a few and stick them in that community map pack thing (if i manage
dododo... hokey. a clean starbase... costs 3000 monies. 450 metal and 375 crystal for whatever race you may be. now... with research costs that could be different, but whatever. for that much... I can build... dododo... lets use 4.5 credits per resource, since thats preety standard... I can build... 3 carriers. (plus a bit of change) set them to bombers. thats 6 squads of bombers vs 1 unupgraded starbase. now... if we dont count the economic advantage o
so... i was testing a map... a 1v1 map, against an unfair ai... and 3 pirate bases. the game started. I promptly did nothing. I did nothing for most of the game... eventually the pirates kill my homewold, and i lose. I keep watching... speed set to x8... to see how the ai colonize my unconventional map and so forth. the ai colonizes preety much every planet... the last of which they colonize by sending about 500 fleet supply worth of ships
derenek: ya, i could do that, but thats a mod. umm... ya... i might as well just make a no long range jumps mod. N3rull: well... that would do what i want... but then its not the whole semi-realistic thing i kinda wanted... however... it gave me an idea that might work. thanks.
darvin is right. I was wondering if there was some something in that text file that connects the stars but only allows those connections to be used after long ranged jumps is researched... and then remove most of those connections. i want to be able to make so in order to go to star c from star a, you have to go though star b, instead of jumping straight to c. just like in order to go from planet a to planet c you have to go through planet b first. the problem with map
Hey, i had a cool idea... and i was wondering if it was possible. I know the .galaxy files are text files... but... Is it possible to deconnect all the stars? or have it so certain stars can only connect to certain other stars? what i want to try to do is create a map where... well... take a random map. replace all the planets with stars. put groups of planets around those stars. so... the planets have phase lanes
for the... is there anything we can do to help you fix bugs faster for the hotfix? ship
They called it an FTL drive because it was a "faster than light" (like, hyperdrive) except they did not know what the hell to call it yet... since it wasnt a hyperspace drive... or at least we dont think it was a hyperspace drive... we dont know. It was considerably darker than previous stargate shows... which was guessing it would be and not looking foward to... and the flashback thing was kinda annoying (and slightly confusing to the two people watching it with m
btw.... hoshiko's destrocto bots are NOT omni-directional. (so... its not cool that they dont get the buff as well) darvin... oops... fixing first post... thanks. and... i meant dominas and subverters (they both start with s... man, i fail)
nice triple post. go here: http://www.impulsedriven.com/ when you register your cd key, you can use impulse to download sins to ANY computer you want to, as many times as you want to (well, if you start downloading your copy to like 50 computers in a short time they will start to wonder what the hell you are doing) I have only done the whole process once... and almost a year ago... so I dont remember how exactly to do it
