[quote who="SkepticalMind" reply="7" id="2180773"]I always play with High Towers and Slow Flag Capture. I don't agree with the Grunts at all though, especially setting them on High and the waves on fast. Grunts are never an actual danger to Demigods, no matter how strong you make them or how many there are. Even by the time you get giants, the DGs are so powerful they are ineffective. All numerous, stronger grunts mean is massive AoE farming, potentially throwing the game way out of whack.<br

Yeah the only issue with the faster spawn rate is performance *if* anyone has a lower end pc, otherwise it is okay. Since grunts don't give *that* much money we haven't noticed much issues with AoE abilities being OP, particularly because grunts are on hard as well. Doggie: A bit of it comes down to preference, but after playing on hard you will realize how weak towers on normal are. The fact is a DG can stand in between multiple towers barely getting hurt -

That might depend on your ping & location? We have had pretty much zero issues with hamachi but we all live in the same country. Also if you don't have hamachi setup properly you will get slower pings because of the routing unless you have a premium account. Unfortunately demigod works very poorly for medium or big pings, which is a real shame. We also use Wippien as an alternative, it's pretty damn good and is open source - we som

Personally we always use these game settings, seems to make the game a bit more enjoyable for us - Towers on Hard - Grunt strength on Hard - Flag capture time on Slow - Grunt respawn rate on Fast Towers are very weak on normal so this make them a bit more deadly, and the slower flag capture time make it's a little less annoying and gives you some time to have some nice fights over flags. Anyhow once you have played

They are both pretty flakey to be honest, in most cases we have taken all of the people that joined to play back to a hamachi game which works 1000 times better than both of them. The only probably with that is some people don't know how to setup hamachi properly.

Well these are in no way hardware related and happen to everyone even if they haven't happened to you yet, add them to the list or start a proper list please. Currently it just seems like a list of the issues that are most important to you. - Crashing when alt tabbing while setting up multiplayer games - After you join a multiplayer game that has not et started, the UI is VERY flakey unless you are host. Player slots don't update properly when player

They are pressing problems, most of them are not situational and DO happen to everyone or a lot of people - if you are going to make a thread like this then you need to keep it updated, otherwise there is no point. You already have things on the list that haven't happened to me, so your 100% of users point is moot.. Keep a proper list or let the thread die...

Just ask for a refund if you want it, regardless of whether you pirated it first or not, it is a pretty broken game that does not function as intended. You need to make a choice now though, you either get a refund asap, or live with it. I am waiting it out and having faith that they will fix it soon... fingers crossed. p.s. just because I have faith in them, does not mean I won't be on their back until they fix it :)

I know at least 5 people that are buying it, only because they got a chance to play the pirated version. Everyone has their own opinion but I perceive pirating as acceptable in certain situations. Many people I know work on the rule that if you play the games enough then you should buy it - some people use pirated copies just to play with their friends if they can't afford it, but most of them end up buying it. Let's face it takes time and money for develope

So it's Friday (at least it is here in Aus) - what's the status of multiplayer? Is the beta multiplayer active, how is it going? Really hanging to be able to play this game properly without having to fire up hamachi every time.

- Crashing when alt tabbing while setting up multiplayer games - Game still not launching properly for everyone (some with comodo, some without etc) - After you join a multiplayer game that has not et started, the UI is VERY flakey unless you are host. Player slots don't update properly when players move around etc. - Flags are sometimes still capped even if members of both teams are very close too it (unconfirmed), not sure if this is intended or not

FYI Mine workes with Comodo and Defence+ fully enabled. I don't have to spam the shortcut or anything. I'm running version 3.5.57173.439 - Windows XP SP2 - Avast Antivirus (Network and Standard sheild) I would have thought stardock would get in touch with comodo to sort out this issue, there are one or two posts on the comodo forums about it - it may be because demigod uses similar behavour to that of rootkits - obviously thi

Some abilities might give evade perhaps? I've seen evad but I don't think I have ever seen dodge. I'm pretty sure with dodge items it says evade... Will pay more attention next time

i think a channeling item would be okay, it's still useful. Just means you can't move while using it, so as opposed to a 'save your ass' item it's more of a 'don't need to go back to base' item. This would make it more balanced since not all DG's have a ranged attack to interrupt it. Much of the time it's pretty useless when running from someone since you can't get hit with it.

I think they should still cost points (maybe even 2 points!), the best thing is when you have a choice to pick something over something else. Gives a bit more variety to the limited number of demigods as well. These type of abilities do work as seen in DOTA, and on a significant cooldown it means you don't use them unless you really have to - but pulling it out at the right time can be mega fun.
