The Dev's haven't made any comments on some of these big bugs as far as I know, which is pretty dissapointing. I know they are working on some multiplayer stuff but they could at least acknowledge these issues. There are a few key things I would like addressed even before they start adding new content, mainly Fixing the UI bugs like above and what the plans for modding are. Maybe they just don't have enough hands to get around to these thing

I wonder how restrictive flatness is to these maps, it would be cool to have some trully 3D maps (where the battlefeild is not 2D) unlike the current maps. Either way there is plenty of room for some awesome new maps even without 3D battlefields
You would be surprised how talented the community is, they could come up with great 3D models for maps. Look at Wc3, there were tonnes of people modelling characters, and getting low poly characters that looks good takes alot of skill. (Obviously you can't really do a map editor like wc3) What you guys need to do is make it easy for the people that can do the maps/3d modelling - make it easy for them to get these as maps into the game, and give some instructions.&
They should test balance without items or something - you might find it is the items that need tweaking and not the character balance. Hopefully they don't go changing more than one thing at a time, thats how balance gets completely stuffed up.
The only way Demigod could even consider being p2play is if it was FREE to begin with, then you pay a monthly sub. Of course they would actually need working multiplayer and proper servers set up. You can't p2p and be disconnected every 5 minutes, or wait 4 hours to play a game..
I think some people have completely forgotten the World of Warcraft launch and its first month.
I think some people have forgotten that WoW was not Blizzards first, second, or third game. Their early games with the real Blizzard team were top notch in terms of quality and support. WoW definitely had issues in the first month, but they also had a huge amount of players.
- DRM would not have made any difference - except to cost Stardock more money.. It would have been cracked anyway... - Pay 2 play subscription is not viable for this game. MMO games have much, much more content than this game will ever have. There is no dialog, quests, stories, big environments, NPC's or any of that in this game. For a full retail priced game (in stores) I expect quite a bit of free content, new demigods and maps. - Wc
Personally I think fortresses need to be tougher - and also that Citadel Upgrades should change for this type of game, there should be fortress upgrades or something. Would make it a much cooler game mode.
People want sheild nerfed, people want sheild buffed.... let's take the average and leave it as it is ;)
Later in the game it takes up a slot that could be used by an artifact though, it's pretty unlikely that you will have the heart of life on you above level 15 - there are much better items. Because many of the artifacts have click to use abilities, they don't take up your normal armor spots.
It's the same for all DG's, further into the game everyone gets better items, more health, more armor etc. and abilities have less effect. Minions are particularly useless at endgame. However... I dont think scaling would be very good though, when you start scaling spells things become alot more difficult to balance. As it is the game is pretty balanced, and ends up coming down (aside from the players skill) to the amount of gold you made and the items you b
I don't think it needs nerfing - I used to buy it all of the time when I first started, but not so much anymore. That $4000 could be spend else where if you can live without it. The fact that it stops healing if you get hit is nerf enough, sure you can sheild yourself and use it - but a team player can sheild anyone on the team so they can use it. Anyhow... it is definitely no game breaker..
That's a really awesome idea. PLEASE, Brad. NO item-merging. EVER! How can a pair of knives, some boots and a mask ever become a flaming axe?
MacGyver would show you how!
He is tough in the right hands..... just like any other DG
Is this thread being updated by Frogboy anymore? It looks like it hasn't been updated in a month.
I'm fairly sure this works on all targetted abilities btw... I used bite on a teleporting npc and the timer finished just after he teleported, but he still died.
Two DG's of equal level on Erebus should be able to bring him down quite easily unless they don't know what they are doing. Also every class has different skills and some will be able to kill others easier, not every class is equal against other classes. That is why it's a team game.
It will take at least a few weeks for the REAL balance issue to be sorted out, people will find different ways to battle and use abilities - it's a bit premature to be yelling nerf before that since there aren't really any glaring skill bugs. (Apart from the interface issues of course)
Something like this would be pretty good, bit of work to sort the items and balance out - but that is the same with adding new items anyway. I like the paths as opposed to the annoying DOTA recipe system.
I haven't read all the posts but based on the OP: - I don't entirely agree with the spacebar thing, having a button with the functionality is nice but all keys and functions should be re-mappable! Give us the option of what to press, everyone plays differently. - Same goes for any new UI items, they should be optional, you shou
Yeah, please add a party list for your team, similar to what you get in MMOG's. So you can select a party member from the list and cast spells on them etc.

Depends who you are playing against....
FYI, DDO (dungeons and dragons online) did a similar thing, their "State of the game" reports and updates were very good and quite frequent. In addition to that, they kept a list of known issues/bugs etc - so you might want to consider that as well.
Yeah keep up with the status reports, it's what other games don't do enough of - people will be much more forgiving for problems if you keep them updated with your support.
