I can't say I like the idea of neutral creeps, however if they don't grant XP or Gold and merely act as a defensive turrent that needs to be bested before it will fight I can't see anything really wrong with it. It's an interesting idea.
Look at Wc3/Dota for example its so much faster and much more about moving and positioning.
Those games are much faster, yes however this is not DotA and this is not trying to be DotA. This is Demigod, and Demigod is a slower paced game and I think it works in the games favour. Besides, your suggestion has already been provided - play Custom Games with the speed maxed.
Actually, in Demigod's case the word of mouth of pirates is going to hurt the game due to the fact that the pirates are unable to patch their game and are currently running the release net code. Their experience with the game isn't going to reflect the current state of the game, even over the Lan simulation programs like Hamachi and GameRanger.
As I said, some people play a game to 'finish' it - to see all the content. Once there is no more new content to be seen, they leave. However, a multiplayer game survives because people play it because the game is fun regardless of the amount content. The most played maps on Counter-Strike: Source are Office and Dust2 and these were included at launch. People still play them because they're still fun.
So, its Friday night, and there are 4 custom games up. This game is dead, better get a refund before its too late.
Actually, a smaller list of games would mean that everyone is playing the game - a full list means too many people are making games and there aren't enough people to fill them. Not to mention this doesn't really take into consideration the Pantheon or Skirmish matches, and those legit games being played over GameRanger by people still experie

Couldn't agree more Poul. If stomping random players makes the game fun for them, then I don't want to play with them. Most of the fun of Demigod, for me, is the challenge in winning against good opponents.
Well, League of Legends doesn't really interest me to be honest. If I wanted to play DotA, well, I would. The game is trying to hard to capture the DotA atmosphere - from the extremely basic Hero builds to the art style itself. Demigod went in a different, and to me more appealing, direction than DotA. I didn't buy Demigod because it's DotA, I bought bought Demigod because it's not DotA.
I'm disappointed, you haven't even rated the games in your list Frogboy. Tisk tisk.
This issue is already being addressed with the Clan Wars patch which will add all of the required features for pre-made Teams to play against other pre-made Teams. Also, I don't think 75% is a fair assessment - I have yet to play against a pre-made Team. Perhaps the Teams you're fighting against aren't pre-made, they're just good players?
Sorcerrer similar looking to the Priests however they throw fire balls which do more damage. also instead of healing units around them they have a passive aura which buffs armour and damage
I think removing the healing power of the Priests is a bad idea - perhaps the passive Aura could increase Health per second for all units around them?

I'd like to add something I believe has been missed up until now - Valve does one thing other developers don't really do; game related products. I don't mean merchandise, I mean things like the 'Meet the [Class]' videos that they produce for Team Fortress 2. The community is filled with talented people who will eventually make their own such videos, however helping them along with official support will ensure the community connects not just in the game, but also outside of it. And this i
It could be a combination of problems. How many players were looking for games during your search? If all of sudden large numbers of players are being removed from the list, they're forming games through the system. You might be excluded because you didn't fall within the range of acceptable location to the other players - it happens to me sometimes. It could also be a connection problem on your end - are you able to connect to custom games without errors?
For someone who seems to hate UB so much, I find it interesting that you've logged twice as much time as UB than any other single Demigod according to your online statistics. Maybe if you spent more time as another character learning to counter UB than playing as the Demigod you claim to be "ZOMG DEV ONLY CHARACTER CUZ HIS SO OP!1!1!!" you wouldn't need to make posts like this. UB is one of the most kite-able Demigod's in the game and is easily taken down if you use your head, tactics

I define working as any modem or router that allows you to play, either by NAT or Proxy, more often than not. Many systems such as Battle.net will connect a user to a proxy server - they simply don't inform the user of this; it's all behind the scenes. As such, your modem/router works without issues because the service has selected the connection setup that you need to play. It's not ideal, but it works with your current hardware, and there is nothing wrong with it. My SpeedTouch s
How much is that Froggy in the window...
Actually, as you should remember from the game we played, I'm a Rook/UB player mostly. And I don't think all Demigod's need to have such an advantage on a map; Erebus has the ability to Teleport over extended distances and this merely plays into that. It comes with the teritory.

The fact that we're getting offical mod support with an easy to use interface that automatically shares whats needed should make you happy. Stop complaining, or go back to the 'mod'.

Ignoring the fact that proper team co-ordination would be needed to prevent people from switching portals, as everyone loves to pretend that they know best , the concept would remove quite a few of the creeps from the battlefield and would lower
I think it's fine - it's apart of his ability, and a benefit of playing that Demigod on that map.
