This re-boot is fine, as long as they use it as a jumping off point for entirely new stories and adventures, and take advantage of the whole 'new timeline' thing they've created. If they even attempt to use Khaan in any subsequent films, it becomes clear they have no intention of making new stories and characters and are meerly riding the re-make train for the hell of it.
Well, being as this Coupon expires in two days I'm unable to use mine. Anyone who wants it, let me know via the Personal Message system. Next time, I hope we have at least seven days to use it. I have to use Pre-paid credit cards, and it's currently the weekend here so all of the stores who handle the Pre-paid credit cards are closed.
This is why I hate most of the people who gravitate towards these types of accessible multiplayer games. New player, loves the game, actually researched a little before jumping online to make sure he'd stand a chance and not be a burden on his team and he get's insulted and unfairly treated.
I've updated the OP, thanks for all the information guys. I've also spoken with several people who's connection issues have improved significantly thanks to the recent update as they're now able to use the Proxy servers to connect to other users without their Ping climbing over the 550 mark. Please be sure to try forcing the Proxy connections before concluding your Hardware is not working correctly with Demigod. In the handful of cases I've seen, the Proxy servers have cleared
The only thing I can think of DemiCom, is realted to your upload speed; Demigod requires more Upload Bandwidth than most games of a similar nature. Try running your game through the proxies only - I can't recall the exact command to achieve this however it's been listed in several of Frogboy's journals - and see if this effects your Ping further, or if it stays the same and post back here.

I believe in the most recent update, the location logic was added so that the proxies in both Europe and in Australia are able to be used. Wait until you've updated your game, and then give it a whirl.

Good idea, I've amended the post. I've left my Speedtouch in the 'doesn't' work area because it failed 75% of the time at least.
There are a lot of reasons you could be experiencing higher than normal ping in one game over another. Are you getting the same Ping to everyone or are there people who you connect to with much higher and much lower pings than normal? Check your connection window - in the list of players you're connected to, do any of the player's names have (Proxy) after them? Have you completed a Speed Test of your internet connection yet? Does your Ping 'spike' up and down,
Same, it seems to happen to a lot of people. Post whoever's kicking you in the hall of shame ;)

You do know you can get a refund for the game, right?
I thought it also best to explain why Demigod might not work for you when other games which use a P2P connection system, like Warcraft 3, do. Basically, most games use their own connection network - such as Battle.net - to handle the connections, while Demigod wasn't designed to do this. As my, very rough and basic, picture shows, Demigod wasn't designed to use the same sort of connection setup as
Updated: 12th June, 2009 After experiencing my own fair share of the connection issues with Demigod, I put several days into educating myself about networking and what I could do on my end to ensure I could connect with as many people as possible. Many long hours and a few grey hairs later, I discovered the caused of my problem; my modem. After purchasing a new modem, my connection issues literally disappeared . I went from bei
Steam's great for client/server games. I played Dawn of War 2 through Steam. I nearly cried.
