When the enemy is in our base capping our portals, and I'm screaming for someone to lock the portals, you might want to take that advice. Hell, I've had allies congradgulate me on my locking, and still not get the idea to do it themselves. With some people, I think I might applaud if I see them lock.

Okay, I'm writing this guide because people have a lot of trouble working as an effective unit. Most games in demigod consist of a bunch of neandertals wandering around a map hoping to cut something up, with little orginization. And when someone tries to organize something... he comes off as an ass. So, in hopes of making my life a little bit easier, and your lives a little less annoying when you're playing on my side, I decided to write a guide on the basics of teamplay. &nbs
When to lock a flag: when someone else wants it Shortest, most effective guide on the entire forums.
When I say 'lock those flags or we'll lose,' I'm not joking. I can't be the only guy on the team who actually buys them. Spend 250 here and there, and actually help us win the match. I can't even count how many matches I've lost because I was the only person who was using flag locks, after repeatedly screaming at my team to lock a flag they cap. I know, I know, nobody likes to take orders in this game, even when coordination is needed. Fine, take it as a polite suggestion. Whatever you want i
I'd say something along the lines of: S class: Oak, Sedna A class: Rook B class: Regulus, Erebus, Unclean Beast C class: Torch Bearer, Queen of Thorns
OP should stop playing demigod if he's as bad as he says he is.
It is true that running into a shit ton of enemies makes you an idiot, but who's palce is it to repremand them? My only gripe with new players is that maybe there sould be a minimum number of hours played or something before they are allowed in the Pantheon. I hate getting paired with idiots in a Pantheon match.
If I suggest multiple times that you take a different route. Perhaps even try killing creeps, or
I don't care who you are. If you walk up to the enemy 5 times in a row, into the same massive minion shitstorm, and die five times, and start complaining how you're underlevelled, I will chew you out. I don't give a shit about etiquitte at that point. If you're stupid, you will be repremanded for it.
Not sure kittens can fit through an ethernet port. I tried doing that once... there's a reason why I had to get a new cat.
Having someone who sucks at the game make wild assumptions based on how bad he is with a certain character doesn't show balance in any way. Ass comment, Strangler. Speaking of wild assumptions, you've got no idea if I suck at the game. The fact that I brought up my troubles and sought out advice should be some indication that I'm not a complete idiot.
I wasn't talking about you directly. But if you want,
Ragequitting should be allowed in Crucible. A crucible match is settled in 10 minutes: first team to knock down the other team's two initial towers wins the game. Before those towers drop, Crucible is interesting. After those towers drop, it's just an excercise in good sportsmanship because everyone knows who is going to win.
Trust me, it's not always like that... woooo boy...
This thread proves again that Demigod is balanced. Getting people to call one of the strongest DG's as bad is a good indicator. I'll be constantly updating the guide as I learn and improve, as well as when new game updates that would change how you approach different situations come into play. Next, I think I'll add a section on game modes.
Edited the items section to remove Journeman's treads, as well as add more depth to early-game development. Added a list of extra equipment worth considering that was not mentioned in the main section of the guide. Fixed some spelling and grammarical errors.
Oak is insanely powerful once he hits mid-game. He can be simply absurd once he gets going. Go and fight a good Oak, come back, and tell me that he sucks. Please.
crucible sucks, i agree. that has almost nothing to do with Erebus though. but crucible is a truly horrible map.
Agreed.
Anyone who spends 2 whole minutes trying to get a full army of minions when he could be doing something useful should be crucified by their teammates. Doubly so if someone on the opposing team has half a mind to use a decent AoE move. An extra set is a nice little bonus when you upgrade your idol, but other then that, it's not a huge deal.
I think part of the reason things end up going bad to worse to good to bad to worse and then maybe good again is because they keep getting pressured by the community to rush these things without properly testing them. Of course, it's partly SD/GPG's fault for rushing the game out, but quite frankly, I think things would be best if they did some more extensive testing with their updates, if only to stop the excessive BAAAAAAAAAWWWing from people who don't understand that these things take time
UB also has a wicked auto attack and passive skills.
Pantheon hates me now. Real shame, Dark needs all the help it can get. Not going to try skirmish either... probably'll get the same results. Custom games have a few problems, but it's possible to get in, so I'll live. All I ask is they fix it fast. It's been working very well for me since the beginning, and I owe SD and GPG at least that credit.
Perhaps, if a player leaves, the rest of the team splits his gold, as well as any gold that player would gain through actual mines. For example, say there were 3 players on a team, and they each gain 4 gold per second. If one player leaves, the other members each gain half his gold, as well as 2 extra gold per second, since it would be split amoung each player. Although, the fact that you lose a body really hurts. There's simply nothing that can be done to fix it.
Tempting... but I'm more interested in TF2... although that's half off this weekend, so it's of no issue to me. I dunno. I'll keep it in mind, I guess.
Well, now that I've been trying for an hour to get a pantheon game going, and this new update doesn't seem to be very happy with me(first time I've ever had connection problems, I swear!), I guess I'll have to duck out of pantheon too.
Stopped playing for 2 days, come back, and we're losing by 40k favour. We can't suck this badly, and I know that the dark demigods aren't THAT underpowered. Is Dark just getting a massive influx of crappy players? Because this is just rediculous. The gap's only going to get bigger and bigger.
