Look at unreal tournament! A game where the AI can actualy be better than humans
AIs in FPS games are easy to make good. If you show up in their sphere of vision, they point at you and shoot you. They have to be toned down to artificially inject inaccuracy in their firing pattern or they'd gun you down as soon as they could see you, every time, unfailingly. You'd say they cheat. It wouldn't be any fun at all. AIs in strategy games have pr
I will continue to say GG regardless of the match's length, 'fairness' or anything, because it's a show of good sportsmanship and common decency, much like shaking hands after a game.
If the game was NOT a good game because of leavers or noobs, it's an insult. It sure doesn't feel like a gg to the people who got screwed.
AI has no place in competitive multiplayer. Bad AI has no place anywhere.
About 1 in 2 games when using the Heaven's Wrath someone will comment wondering what the hell is happening. 1 out of 2 of those games someone will say it's cheating. And you'll get it every once in a while when you snipe people too.
And you know what? That's the problem. They're ignoring a majority of what I write
Has the thought ever crossed your mind that perhaps it is you who is ignoring a majority of what everyone else is saying? Everyone has provided the solution. You are the problem.
The point I've been TRYING to make is the principle. The developer could have supporteed 2.0 and lost nothing for doing it and gained extra sells as well as been commended for better customer service, but didn't.
Oh missed this - the principle that you are trying to avoid is that people with 2.0 shader cards have CRAPPY COMPUTERS. Crappy computers run the game poorly. Computers that run the game poorly have low sim speeds. Low sim speeds drag down on
If you can't comprehend that your comments are not only a waste of space and time
They sure ARE a waste of space since you quoted every single post ever made in the history of the forum first. Talk about a wall of text!
Me have old video card. Me know this. Me not spend lots of ching ching on pornogamobox parts. Me buy what me need to do what me want. Me not care if you say me should buy new card. Me not care that much about playing Demigod game. Me
Poison dagger is good probably ONLY for UB. Even then the anklet is probably still a safer choice, but it is most of the time anyways....
I think the Heaven's Wrath needs serious nerfs. It can instant kill the minotaurs and archers from the start of the game from anywhere on the map. Even though the item claims to do 250 damage the creeps will die when they land back on the ground or fall off the map. You certainly DO get exp for the kills. The imbalance is that it's only available for assassins. In fact, there's three awesome assassin-only items (Poison Dagger, Staff of Renewal, Heaven's Wrath
I feel that it is unnescasary to bring this to the forums. I fail to see why we are avoiding such a person when we know so very little about the situation. There are no chatlogs present, and no real indication as to whether or not this person had rage-quit, or if they simply disconnected before getting the chance to answer. This is the sort of stuff that results in bad communities.
Well, kicking them without saying anything if you see them is in poor taste. Howeve
Yeah....fair enough, reasonable point.
Yeah you should at least be able to say WHY you're getting something, or not getting something. If your first response to your build being questioned is rage quit, you simply suck.
3on3 on Cataract, all 6 players were Oak. we had an Oak Power Rangers brawl. it was hilarious. obviously my team won because our Megazord was the strongest.
So what does that make the spirits? The Putty Patrol?
I discovered something today after a person playing Sedna on my team left the game. THE AI IS AFFLICTED BY THE ABILITY BUG. When I was in combat fighting another hero AI controlled Sedna was nearby. She had already healed me once already (then returned to attacking nearby creeps instead of helping attack the enemy hero but whatever, at least she healed me). I saw her turn again towards me, presumably to heal me. And she froze. Yes, she had been stuck by
The problem with minions in Demigod is they have no ABILITIES. They attack. That's it. Oh wait, the priests heal. Oh wait, but you can't control who or when they heal, they just *do*. Great. As such minions aren't interesting, they can't be skillfully micro'd, they can't do anything but right click and hope they do good. Not to mention the UI is crap for managing them. You have no idea what is selected, so it's mash N and hope none of them got
And you farmed 10 kills off the leaver's AI hero. Don't say gg. Don't even think about it. It was not a gg.
Or maybe someone at Stardock can write a few pages and place them on the official site? (Kidding, I know it won't happen)
Or maybe someone at Stardock/GPG can write a few pages and place them in the game on the skills themselves? (Not kidding, should happen!) It's crucial to know what stuff actually does....a lot of things are nebulously described. TB's auras give damage to him? Really? Surprise!
Does it occur to you that you are not the only one with opinions?
Does it occur to you that just having an opinion doesn't make it valuable? I backed up mine with some pretty important reasons why you shouldn't mess with these settings.
Wha!? All of those crazy death visual effects actually do something? I'm not even trolling. Grr I hate the documentation with this game.
http://forums.demigodthegame.com/352218
Regulus might also have put the mark on you, which damages you if you use an ability. But probably it was the Heaven's Wrath.
2. Noob magnets. I want a statistic on what characters people who just started tend to play. Lets say people who have played less than 10 games, what characters do they tend to gravitate to?
Rook and Regulus. Mostly Rook.
This would be possible the stats weren't FUBAR. Since they are we cannot trust anything they might say or show. At a certain point when they are confident they are actually working they need to wipe everything and start it fresh. Then we can analyze how each hero is doing.
Thank god if the ability bug is actually fixed. Next up - replays.
Newbs are fine, until your team has one and their team does not. Then they become a weight that drags you down. You know you might have been able to win if it just weren't for that newb! A matchmaking system is supposed to fix this by matching newbs or noobs with other newbs and noobs. The Demigod matchmaking system is currently in shambles. That's why I don't trust it and only play custom games.
You see the custom games with "EU" in the title? Join those.
Its better this way, the dota community is arguably the worst gaming community around. Better if they compare it and stay there, meanwhile demigod will build a new community.
It's the SAME community. I don't get how this mysterious "Dota community" is different from the leavers we see nearly every game. TDA are jackasses yes, but I hardly call them the "Dota community"
I am not a fan of rubber banding effects.
It's not as bad as you think. The higher leveled heroes are obviously harder to kill.
