[quote who="timevans999" reply="82" id="2379178"] "This game has forgotten where it came from big numbers, big maps, big economy, big battles. When a game is so short the loser always feels like they could of won it if .... but in an expansive STRATEGY GAME AT THE BITTER END ITS EASIER TO FEEL YOUR BEATEN AND JUST MAYBE YOU MIGHT SLEEP BETTER IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF THAT. DEMIGOD IS NOT STRATEGY and that is the problem with demigod its for kids its not like chess."<b

It is an absolute joke. We don't have a classification system for games that are over Ma 15+ (need to be over 15 or have parents permission to buy). Since there is no R18+ rating, they can't classify it at all if they consider it more adult then for 15 year olds, which is what the RC classification is. Classification is upto the attorney generals of each state. The absolute majority, bar one, recognise the need for an R18+ rating for videgames; but since the decision nee

To clarify, I meant solely on the title of the games listed, as they do in both impulse and opengames.asp. I didn't to call out which country each player was from. I just thought it'd be something simple and easy easy to implement ingame if it already exists in both the match listings out of the game. @tperge modding makes me optimistic :)

Considering that http://www.demigodthegame.com/opengames.asp lists custom games with their bracketed country signifier, is there any chance of utilising this in-game? Sure, its slightly lazier then putting in proper titles. But more information can't be a bad thing in this context? PLus its information that is being already tracked somehow. I know it can be seen in the impulse community stuff as well. Why not ingame too? :)

The best way to do this would be to have a combined mini tutorial that evolves into a horde mode. And you have the tutorial skippable for people who play, and the horde mode has a highest score kinda leaderboard. Or Something with a plot, perhaps fighting against lower level peons in different areas before you face off against "boss" style overpowered regular dg's?

Normal. Nightmare and hard is just normal ai that cheats. Skirmish and Pantheon should be combined, so that whoever is lookng for a good game plays people not ai.

Ending music continuing forever is a bug. Invalid game state error is when a desync occurs in the game. Because the game is p2p, a desync in information will trigger a desync with all the other computers. basically, before that message was put in, you had to click on a "desync notification" or similar button every 1-2 seconds. even so, the games weren't recorded properly. Rollover game data error seem to only occur on a couple of maps, and is thought to be based around f

http://pax.stardock.com/ for the Impulse phase IV changes. http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/60297 half price demigod from now till the end of the US labor day weekend (till the 7th?) I don't know about 1.2, but it should come when its perceived as done. However I know quite a few players who would be keen to check out how the new demigods play. Having them

Suggestion. Drop skirmish, but keep the skirmish related all dg vs all dg potential. How? Let players choose a side. But also choose any demigod. So a player can pick their dark or light side feeling for a match, but play with teams composed of any kinds of demigods. An even more crazy suggestion would be to do as sugeested above, but have novelty events every now and then. Assassins vs Generals one fortnight. Everyone vs ub and se

@cosmoe. I think we may be arguing for things that are different. :) Whilst I agree that support demigods may be slightly shafted in terms of favour accruement; if someone plays a support demigod for 100 games (without dropping), even losing every game, they will still accruemore favour then someone only playing 10 games. I simply propose that since much more favour comes with playing many more games, an easy way to indicate player experience (not skill or demigod streng

I can imagine brad's patience having a quiet drink in some bar; watching people getting sloshed but himself only sipping away at his drink, optimistic for the unknown potential of the night ahead. Obviously he has some kind of old fashioned fancy fob watch he pulls out to check the time and realises that perhaps their might not be much of a meaty goodness to be devoured that night. He instead goes off to drink with the partygoers, realising that no matter what happens, its still going to be a

I agree that favour points aren't a good measure of skill . But they are a good indicator of a person's experience , if all favour points ever accrued are the currency used, as well as being accessible by the current statistics tracking system ( i.e. no need for a redesign. ) The more games played, with as indicated in your re-direct cosmoe, the more favour someone is going to have. The more games played, should equ
