Well admittedly, there is a lot more about control in Demigod than actually killing enemy heroes. However, if flags simply pass between two teams with neither gaining a distinctive advantage, everyone is most likely playing wrong. As flags are quite possibly the most important thing in the game, locks, teleports, and defensive/offensive capture maneuvers are key to team play. This takes the place of the more simplistic "Kill the enemy, push the tower" deal of most AoS games. Again, to

Never underestimate him though if hes a decent player, early game the Rook can get slapped down hard, I died 6 times in like the first 10 minutes then came back to win the game with my ally with 5 kills and still only 6 deaths, two of those kills at near the same time since my enemies thought i was still weaksauce and let me rock roll/hammer

If I've got my math right, caps being 250 gold... A goldmine flag gives 4g per player, per second (I think.) A cap lasts for 40 seconds. 4x4=160. A cap on a gold mine works both ways. You get the money, and your enemy doesn't. Thus, in a 1v1, 4x4x2=320, making it actually economically feasable to lock the flag every time it cools down. Obviously, you wouldn't literally lock the gold mine that often. However, I maintain that keeping the mi

Don't ever enter melee range. Melee characters will come to you, and you can harass them while THEY waste time walking. It is also useful to 'bait' enemies with delays on potions, nukes, etc. That is, if you combo someone at full health into the ground, they walk away. If you combo someone into the ground after having dealt a good portion of their health in damage, well, chances are they're dead. And yeah, TB does not rock the 1v1 game. Use him as support, and hide behind your rook.

Err, this would probably increase load time, though I myself would be OK with that. On a decent computer, load screens do not seem to take long at all (20 seconds, tops). But maybe that's only for 2v2. Also, chat systems do increase lag by a little. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for it, but I'm just pointing out the downside.

I'd just like to point out that while I greatly appreciate the fix from Bman, plenty of the people complaining about stardock's incompetancy have little knowledge of coding, and the others are unlikely to have worked on a large project where everything had to be fixed. Those who satisfy both these categories must fail to appreciate the likelihood of finding a bug in your own code (as opposed to someone else finding it), as well as the sheer amount of players who look through games' code. Put
Rook is a great linebreaker but a horrible speartip character. In other words he is great for breaking up engaged fights but not good at initiating a fight. Rook plays midfield and should always be escorted by another demigod player. Play him like you would any tank in an RPG..... stay with a group.
Ehh, Rook can initiate if he's careful. If you're in a 2v2 with a TB on your side, you have l

Time to beat the dead horse again. While I like DotA as much as I like Demigod, I'm getting just a little sick of these posts explaining that Demigod is not, in fact, exactly like DotA, and how it would be really great if it was, and cherryblossoms would rain from the sky. Creeping is probably the dullest part of DotA, imo. Do I do it well? Yes. Do I have fun with it? No! I'd rather be having the epic flag wars you can find in Demigod, rather than sitting behi

Why on earth would we want recipes? Just another reason to have to run around the map building items? Items already sell for what, 80% of their price? It's not like you take on a terrible loss as-is by buying small items first.

Same problem here, have had it since Launch. However, I'm in an even bigger fix, as it spikes up immediately to 1000 or so even in a 3v3, and stays constantly. Other than that, it's identical to what Dead Ghost has described. [e digicons]k1[/e] for an excellent post, Dead Ghost! Edit: Frogboy, you mentioned changing the name of the overlay file. I assume you mean both the DLL and the LNG?

I play a build very similar to this, with god's strength over stats, and sometimes 1 point in towers for TP. I tend to avoid more than a point or two in Structural Transfer as well. It's very effective, and allows me to mop up tower rooks quite easily. How ironic. As for speed items, Journeys are a godsend. With enemy creeps attacking you, they proc pretty much every fight and enable easy escape/chasing. Teleport items, however, are just as effective.

Quite frankly, you and he may be the only two people on earth who care about the Demigod Ranking system. But yes, I think something should be done about custom game matchups. Perhaps you should only gain ranking from beating the same person so many times in a day? I dunno.

It's almost impossible to design a game where a certain unit does not counter another unit. Even in Chess, the humble Knight is key in defeating the almighty Queen. And a team full of oaks would be more likely to get wrecked before level 5 than anything else. Earlygames vs oak = 0 XP.

I have loved The final fantasy series since FF6 and i only really disliked FFX-2 before it (aimed at preteen girls it seems) The change in combat style, Lack of character focus (being able to build everyone anyway i want isnt good for a guy like me i like traditional roles build in characters myself) and the lack of focus on the people in your party, instead the focus is on the war and the story around that.<br
