I would rather have several unit-types to be be soft-counter to Titans, lets say corvettes, LRM frigates, light carriers, heavy cruisers and capships.

I think its your fault. Advent were given repulse against corvettes and titans, drone hosts that can quickly reach 80 squads with 2 halcyon's, starbase with up to 20 squads of bombers, sexy looking corvettes and the ability to steal mines... I am sure its worth the price. You cant look at it from the point, that 95 percent of the stuff is old one. Just think about what needs to be done to implement only titans into the game: - first of all, "invent" them. their function, their abilities, their overall role in the game - artists need to come with some sketches, how would they look like - they need to be 3d modelled, their textures need to be done and UV mapped, 3D models need to be equipped with hardpoints

Otherwise, you could just nuke the enemy's homeworld with your titan and just warp back. Surely it'll be able to make a phase stabilizer node (I wouldn't be surprised if it's just passive actually with upgrades increasing charge/travel time or something) so Kostura jump in, munch on planet, jump out. Enemy is out a ca

Was giving a bit of thought again today, and i came with another reason to support my proposal, although its related to currently still unfinished/unclear Fleet Beacon ability. I mean perhaps devs may be able come with some solution to overcome this, but right now, i do not really see it myself. The thing is, if the planet-stripping ability stays in its current form and you, as a faithful vasari loyalist go and really blow your planets up - with all of your structures - the only way f

The economy boost is the same for every faction, although the Advent can additionally boost this by using their starbase or researching special techs in the diplomacy research. The combat boosts are upnique for every faction, the TEC for example regenerate Antimatter faster in their own culture. I played yesterday for Advent Loyalists again and this time tried to go heavy with their cultural upgrades, which probably for the first time gave me more of understanding, what is so special and unique about the whole faction. Was totally unaware of things, which give you the map of cultural "strength" across the system, or the fact, i can see enemy grav-well under influence of my own culture for example. Anyway i found out, i actually know pretty little about the nuances, how

I was overran by AI and its Titan + 14 capitals second consecutive game for Advent today. Not sure, what am i doing wrong. At the time they attacked me with this force i had 4 capitals myself, just finished Titan, about 20 corvettes, about 10 drone hosts and some disciples. Obviously this was nowhere near enough.

Anyone ran into similar issue? Its Advent Loyalist Titan and its construction seems to stop, once it reaches the "head", lets say 4/5 of the titans height, only the halo part remains unfinished. It happened to me once, i thought its the lack of resources - it would not restart, once i had enough. So i resetted the construction and let it build again....and it seems to stop at the same place again! Bit frustrated now...

Though for this one, the problem was simply that he put the game speeds at all normal instead of fast. Besides that, I second what Sareth stated above. Worst case scenario is that the researchable does something like "ScuttledPlanetsDestroyed=true;". If it does that, there'll have to be some really weird buff chains going on to emulate the effects, but I've got an idea how to do it. If someone could post the buff chain on here, that'd be really

IMHO, there was never a need for Titans being the ultimate battleships. I mean they could be big, powerful and fearsome, but their strength could have lied in their special abilities, and not talking now only about the fleet supporting/buffing ones like those of capships. The only real battleship could IMHO stay the Ragnarov (but even that one would need to be killable with decent sized fleet), the other ones could be pretty much like: Coronata: planet conqueror (the repossesi

I say, - just make the Flaks as powerful against bombers as against fighters - build 10 of them, send them to starbase - add Guard command, so you can assign them to stick to the SB (even if the SB moves in case of vasari) its part of the design, really. If you add AA to SB, there is no incentive to build flaks or hangars.

I think the choice to introduce titans sooner rather than later was a right thing to do. Make it to difficult to obtain, and you will rarely/never see it in a game. The only thing needed to balanced is their ability to kill fleets, once they level up, but once that is done, i think it would be ok.
