I'm thinking of hosting all-assassin games, exluding UB and Rook. I think a squishy matchup would be fun.
OMG_Epiphenomenon
While I'm in a peeved mood, NeptunePisces chooses Staff of the F'ing Warmage on QoT. Not playing with him.
Ceaze84 is a poor player, but he has 100+ games under his belt, so that can fool you. I wouldn't play with him. garrethale has a lot of games too, but I've lost so many times with him that I won't play with him. Oakman only plays games when the teams are sufficiently stacked, and that peeves me to no end.
He's tier 1 at level 15. His 75% crit chance and swap range make him competitve at the top tier.
It's a fun build to play. I wish it were viable. :/
Sedna can ninjaportal with Silence.
I just figured this out yesterday and thought I was the first one to figure this out. :P
You're complaining about... achievements?
Is your version of DG fully updated?
I thought it'd be nice if we all listed our top 3 changes to Demigod that would require 30 minutes or less. Each change can be any of the following: Change 3 lines of code in the LUA, implement a mod, or delete a section of LUA code. 1. Implement morpheas' favor item balance mod. 2. Delete Blood of the Fallen from the favor item menu (it's half a line of code in the LUA) 3. Lower Fireball's cast time to 0.4 seconds (this might require editing animations which wou
Good Lord, the crystal idols are just what TB needs. Fire TB isn't able to chase well because of his auto-attacking bug, and these idols give him the ability to kind of tank. I really like explicitly Demigod specific favor items. I noticed that the crystal idols apply a debuff that prevent shielding for a certain period of time. What is the duration of the debuff? If two players choose the crystal idols, will one idol's debuff prevent the other from shielding? We need more of these. S
I'd consider spit and ooze to be equals. They just have different uses, so it helps having them both. Having both makes you more versatile. Inner beast is actually another good endgame skill due to the level 15 ability Acclimation. It's considered to be an overpowered skill, but you can't get it until level 15. Never pick stats over inner beast, IMO.
The reason to get Foul Grasp is for the stun. It's the best stun around because it doesn't trigger stun immunity, which means you can chain 3 stuns without having the "Immune" sign pop up. Anything besides the first rank is sort of a waste. It just eats up more mana and does little good. In fact, I often cast foul grasp and interrupt it by spitting on the Demigod to do more damage. I'd throw 5 points into spit. It rapes towers and is a great finishing move. I don't know
A UB hybrid, which combines spit and ooze, is generally accepted to be the best UB build around. I'm glad you picked UB as your first Demigod. He's one of the strongest DGs and one of the easiest to learn. Here is probably the best UB build, IMO: 1. Spit I 2. Ooze I 3. Diseased Claws 4. Spit II 5. Foul Grasp I 6. Ooze II 7. Spit III 8. Ooze III 9. Save point 10. Ooze IV and Spit IV Spongemat
Yeah, pacov, isn't it wonderful to have some great modding talent? :P The tower of silence and the slow ward would actually make much better consumable items, to be honest. I'm not sure they work best as favor items.
Oak = BotF Beast = BotS Sedna = BotF Rook = Amulet of Teleportation/Blood Erebus = BotF Torch = BotS DA = EoM QoT = wtf is QoT.
One more thought on the Venom Stone. It doesn't seem to have a little aura icon above my health bar. It would be nice if you could add it.
RapierX used to always say that counterhealing could be countered by microing your priests outside of the range of Sedna's counterhealing. To date, I have not been able to do this and be successfully healed. Has anyone else been able to do it? P.S. If you play Sedna and don't take counterhealing at level 8, you ought to be ashamed of yourself.
Actually, if it's close to the equivalent to BotF, there's not necessarily any reason to pick it. Here is what I'd suggest: Helm of Fortune Passive : + 4 gold per tick + 1 gold and +5% experience aura This would mean that one person would directly help the team by choosing this favor item, and it would penalize people for not coordinating, since auras
A max stats Rook with God Strength and Trebuchet is a bizarre creature. I played him once. He walks around with 10k health, which is insane with a sigil and priest healing, especially from Sedna. I had a friend that used him and actually won games with it.
I just tried the Helm of Fortune. It is playable and most likely competitve. By level 12, I was able to buy 3 citadel upgrades along with items such as Narmoth's Ring, Orb of Defiance, and Groeffling Warplate. It's far superior to the gear I would have otherwise been able to afford, but I didn't have BotF, so I think it is balanced.
lifekatana, no one has really playtested mods enough to say that they all suck. Mods are a pain in the ass to use. Frogboy wants user driven content to become official, and the only way that knowledgable changes will be made is through extensive playtesting. No one playtests because we have poor modding implementation.
Wii Sports was on that list. WTF?
A while back, Frogboy told us we were getting modding. We were all excited. However, modding is rarely used in multiplayer games. Most of us suggested that an autodownload feature should be added for ease of use. We don't have this feature, and no one uses mods online, as we all predicted. I know that there are saftey concerns, but couldn't we have a prompt where we can choose to accept or decline the download from the host? Our community is small enough that I don't think malicious u
I believe Trebuchet hits DGs for 250, so with good armor that's still going to be 150+ damage and it fires every 5 seconds. Most of the time you'll be hitting for at 180+, it has small radius splash damage against creeps, and it strikes structures for 500. The ability targets DGs first, towers second, and others third, so it will lock onto a hero in a busy fight unless it's already locked onto a tower before the hero enters into range (which is a good thing, since it lets you siege wit
I don't mind playing with noobs if they explain they are very good at listening to experienced players. We hate noobs because they don't know how to communicate and refuse to listen to our advice. If you don't fall in this category, try to explain it. RAWR is completely right. Pick one demigod, read a guide, and get good with him. This game is actually relatively simple. Also, be sure to health stack and buy teleport scrolls, capture locks, and sigils of vitality. That's the entire ga
