I respectfully disagree with anybody who says that Rook can't cast Ooze. I believe he can cast Ooze, and by modifying the game the can cast Ooze, so he can cast Ooze. It doesn't matter what the data says, he can cast Ooze. What's past is past.

Anyway, as it stands the basic argument is that Rook never needs to worry about mana and can somehow afford a HoL, a Vlemish helm, and still have all the HP gear he wants, that he can keep the HP flag towered even though an Ooze UB will be all over that and a tower rook can't do anything without his towers, that Rook can always hammer slam between interrupts despite the fact that interrupts cleanly beat hammer slam and that for most people interrupts aren't the primary source of damage, that

Ooze 2 is shit. This is a bad hybrid build that sacrafices getting skills on time for... stats? Ugh. The items are also meh, saving for Narmoth's with almost no HP gear is bad, and boots of speed are unnecessary. You sacrafice passives in order to get stats, relying on a favor item that might not trigger in time for you to get a kill. I've seen worse UB builds, but they generally involved beastial wrath.
Then they just snipe every 3.4 seconds. When you create rules like that, people just play to the edge of the rules. Also, lots of Erebii is nuts because of the fun involved in chain-AoE stunning. Also, does vampiric aura stack? If it does, that would be insane as well.
Ummm,... no.
Why, exactly? Why is it better for the map to give an asymmetric advantage to one side instead of giving each side the same advantage?
Eh, I suppose it depends on the DG's; as a primarily Ooze UB and TB player, the basic strategy for tower rooks is "Charge in, smash rook, and (if TB) AoE stun and smash his towers;" hit and run doesn't apply as much. As TB it applies more because you are squishy, but it's still generally safe to get off a full combo on rook, and as Ooze UB if the Rook runs it is just less damage I take.

If you have 1000 hp and the enemy has 1000 hp and you get the +15% health flag then you have 1150hp. This is not 32% bonus relative to the enemy. Same goes with killing grunts. A grunt that gives 10xp will give the player with the XP flag 12xp and his enemy only 10xp. Where did you come up with
Thanks to a post in another topic by Woppin, I realized that Cataract, while good, is not entirely balanced. The HP flag is generally better than the Mana flag. That is not a problem; it's in the middle, both people can fight over it, etc. But then you realize that whoever controls the HP lane also gets different flags from the enemies area on that side. If you are the Forces of Light, by controlling and pushing the HP lane, you get the celerity flag. That's a good flag. But if you ar
Woppin, +1 for those very good points. The map isn't symmetric, and that can cause problems; I feel like posting that in the ideas section for rebalancing.
How is a good Erebus unkillable? You can still use foul grasp/any other stun to stun-lock and burst damage him to death. If he runs out of mana he's as screwed as anyone else, and if he goes into mist form any Reg player will jump at the chance to throw a large number of mines at his feet. 6.1 isn't normal speed; it's slightly above average.
The trouble isn't Rooks who get just Towers, it's the Towers, and the Stun, and Hammer Slam. I'd like to point out that, despite this topic being about a level 1 rook failing against a better level 1 erebus (and not some endgame situation), unstoppable and unkillable are not the same thing. A good Erebus is completely unkillable, but no DG is unstopable against equally matched opponents.

However, there are certain aspects of doubles that make it impossible to go with your team's demigod setup and hope to win. For this reason, I think a lot of people are aggrivated by these setups, but a lot of it has to do with a really bad encounter that they once had dominating their perception on how the match will go. For example, I've encountered seve
Your use of double blind is wrong; double blind means two layers of blindness. The game couldn't be double blind unless you didn't know your own demigod or your opponenet's demigod (if you didn't know your opponent's and he/she didn't know yours, but you both knew which DG you picked, you would both be single blind; as it is now, there is no blindness at all).
Absurdly squishy, he has to get into range to throw mines for DPS (since he doesn't have much AA DPS). Basically, I can see him being useful with a team of other support DG's, but he would be left behind on any standard tanking and chainstunning team, and would also lose to the same. So... Pros: Good at harrassment; good with support DGs who can't deal much DPS by themselves but can keep the enemies busy (QoT and Sedna, for the most part) and good against those by constantly p
