Honestly, way too many towers in the middle. To attack one of them would be to get hit by a minimum of four, so unless you are Regulus or somebody else with long range attacks, you aren't going to be pushing until level 20.
A slow beast is a dead beast. Not using his utmost gift, extreme speed is sin. Ooze dps by itself is not gonna do much. And if you're not facing a demigod that relies on his autoattack for most of his damage (aka Oak), the 40% debuff will not do much good either.
Ooze DPS is almost exactly the same as Spit DPS, and people seem to be saying how amazing that is. Everybody relies on their AA for most of their damage. Everybody. I don't know anybody who gets more out of s
Well I've made the reward-player-skill argument many times in several different games so I do have some sympathy for the OP. Basically how the argument goes is that while there are no arbitrary rules of honor or minimum-required-skill for the players, an ideal game should be balanced in a way that in general, simple strategies have a lower maximum potential than complicated ones. But achieving that is totally the responsibility of the game designers.
But why<
I know it's a good strategy; stay in one lane, shield and AA people away, and mulch in another to get all the EXP/Gold. But I had a match recently where the enemy QoT simply stayed at the health crystal and sent a constant wave of shamblers to where our creeps met (on Cataract) and blew all of them up, every time. She was overlevelled, her teammates were somewhat underlevelled, but without our creeps the enemies had a big creepy meatshield to kill the towers (well, it didn't help that our Reg

In one game my enemies were chain-locking the mana and EXP flags on cataract, and got way behind on items in the early
It's superior to get Scalemail+Banded Armor though: 2788.5 Modified Armored Health for 950g... Nimoth is 3054.5 Modified Armored Health for 1500g. So the first one is more cost effective. Now it's debateable if you get the Nimoth third, or you get the cheap "Gauntlets of Brutality" for 400g, which give you 15% more damage for the time you are saving for Nimoth. If you want to ultra tweak you can sell them once you can afford Nimoth, and you onl
Quoting Milskidasith, reply 15 Armor scales linearly; no matter when you buy it, a scalemail actually winds up giving you 24% more HP (against armor reduced attacks) The effect isn't linear however, for several reasons, and that's what counts. 1) Armor doesn't work vs spells... 2) The costs for more armor goes up: the cost/benefit gets lower with every item. You start with 16% armor at l
Going for more armor after 40% is questionable ... cost alot, benefits little. Gautlets is 25 dmg for 400 gold, which you sell again later, this cost you like 80g in the end. If the enemy has wand of speed, you need it to catch him. Unbreakable boots is +600 hp and +5 hps, there is no better hp/armor option for 1500g, even if you dont need the mana at all. "Wyrmskin" has a 15% chance to slow and its also +24 dmg bonus. What items would you get... yo
The only real comebacks I see are when people play sloppy, when it isn't definitively lost (having giants isn't a guaranteed win if we have most of our defenses up and good AoE) or if the "losing" team is mostly comprised of demigods that hit their stride later, while the winning side has DGs that are good from the start (QoT, Tower Rook).
You are taking non-armor (or wand of speed) items as an Ooze UB. You are playing him wrong. You are taking Narmoth's as a spit UB. You are playing him wrong.
I did notice that I got 4 unexplainable EXP though. On the way to the flag, I got 2 EXP. I got 8 exp for the first four flag ticks, and then 2 exp for the fifth + 100 EXP. Then I got another inexplainable 2 exp, for a total of 114.
I got murdered with ooze vs ooze/spit. The spits basicly never allow you to use HoL while the other UB can use it, as soon as he is a bit away from you.
HoL isn't good for Ooze builds; Narmoth's Ring is better. Anyway, if you are relying on HoL to win fights, you really need to play UB more; you can easily chase him away from using HoL. Plus, you should have way more HP than him, or he's going to be so low on mana so he won't be able
Just tested: No EXP from the portal flag (on Leviathan, anyway).
I'll test it. Anyway, why is 10% extra damage worth more to you people than 15% extra health? The second one allows you to win a lot easier (the only negatives are that the fights take longer and you might need to spend more on health potions). Anyway, my order: As Ooze UB: Enemy portals with catas or giants Health (any kind) Gold. Cooldown (so I can grasp more). Valor Flag EXP (It gives you a max of like one level
Usually when I play Rook my skills look a lot like this, except I swap Power of the Tower II and Hammer Slam II, mainly because I feel just 2 towers isn't enough to save your butt from a HP stacker or multiple DGs, so I feel they need more priority at lower levels.
Then again, at level 4 hammer slam scares me... past level 5, foul grasp! I need to start playing less UB. I think of everything as "how can UB affect this?
seriously guys, get out of the tunnel vision. plague is a map affecting ability. thats the reason why its worth taking.
Unless there are angels flying about, creep waves won't wind up infecting each other, so you have to spread it through Demigods (and hope it still works). I can see it's uses, but by the time creeps actually fight each other, you've still only got a 100 HP advantage on the opponents creeps. It's nice, but not superb.
Well, idk how people feel about Erebus's ability to warp from the middle of the map into the bases on crucible, BUT if we were to agree that that is not lame...then Oak's minions flying across shouldn't be considered lame imo.
Well, the erebus teleport thing is annoying because he can teleport, cap your portal, and teleport back, and you have no real way to fight back. With minions... well, you just fight them off or buy upgrade
Personally, I'd rather have an AA w/shrapnel mines reg, so my foes can't flee as effectively. By the time you get to shranel mines, you are very close to the late game (level 10, by which an AA reg usually has or will soon be getting a Mageslayer, which is when the build becomes very strong) which is when the AA build starts to shine and the mines build starts to drop off. So I just dont get this argument.
Who can
My early game item strategy as a tank Ooze UB: Banded armor, TP scroll, combat health potion. On my first trip back to the citadel, scalemail (so I can charge through towers for kills easier) and the tower health upgrade. From there, stack health.
First off, learn to use the damn quote feature. It's annoying that you can't figure out how to click a button properly.
Towers deal more than 170 damage if you are at lvl 6. You would be taking at least 200 dps per hit from tower. Most smart players would probably have 3k of HP if they know they are going against a beast. It doesn't cause you to stop moving if you keep right-clicking.
You sti
