the Vasari starbase can move about it's gravity well. The Advent and TEC SBs are completely stationary. The reason the Vasari SB can move is because the Vasari don't get anti-structure cruisers. That's what their SB does. The TEC SB has the 'BIG RED BUTTON OF DOOM', which when fully upgrading the ability, lets you kill an entire enemy fleet in the proximity of the SB. The Advent has Meteriod Control and Mass Disorientation. The 2nd makes enemy ships spin uselessly, the

shibfilet, A FELLOW 2142 MODDER!! I've tried doing a little stats-based modding for it. Currently abandoned in favor of Sins.

higher # of players, maybe not. an SP campaign, dear God, that would be beautific. Definitely include all the original stuff. Maybe a new race? As for better communication, VoIP might end up being the way to go, but I think that keeping the current system is a MUST. Battlefield 2142 has VoIP, but I haven't got a mike, so I have difficulty communicating in that manner. Of course, this might just be me, but having a slightly better explanation of in-game chat would be ni

In Sins there's a button you click to rename ships/planets/starbases. To the left and right of this button, are two others. The one on the Left will SLOW DOWN gameplay, the one on the Right will INCREASE the gameplay speed. I hope this helps you.

What I would recommend is giving your RAM a little upgrade. I have a Toshiba Satellite A215, 1.8 GHz dual-core, ATI Radeon Graphics card, Vista OS Home Premium SP2, and 4 GB RAM. With Entrenchment, when I first start there is sometimes what I call a mini-lockup, that is the screen freezes for about 2/3 seconds, but the game is still responsive. It'll do that 1-3 times after I start/load a game, but that's it. I also tend to lag a little when zoomed in with a LOT of particle eff

well, you can D/L the 1.05 patch of over solar.filefront.com (a miniscule 10-15 MB). After that, it's like a 300 MB patch D/L through Impulse to get 1.17. Unfortunately, there are no patches after 1.05, as 1.05 was released when Impulse was still being set up. Now it is, so that's where you get your patches. Luckily, it seems to be quite rapid.

I think the ability to have Troop Transports that could invade a planet, and allow you to capture the enemy's homeworld already fully upgraded, would be good. If there was any sort of ground-combat element, I'd have to say it should be in what you deploy from you TT's. Like you could have several abilities for the TT's, like 'launch infantry regiment', or 'deploy air combat wing', or 'land armored division', and have each one good at a different thing. If there was a Sins 2, i

ah. I see. I have watched some SG-1, and we have the ORIGINAL movie. I never saw the entire thing, but I remember that the Asguard were battling the Replicators (I think). However, the Cretacus don't actually have a genetic memory in that sense. They can remember previous forms of adaption, as they actually will store some of their dead for future use.

there is a list of modifiers that are on the forums (under 'modding', I believe). However, it's likely easier to just manually edit them to what you want, or use the Advanced Maneuvering Research for the TEC, change it to apply to all ship types, and add it as a new subject.

the Cretacus don't have the omaphagea. They absorb information at the DNA level. They also don't have the ability to crew enemy ships. Neutrals/Planets yes, and overrunning a ship/structure certainly. But they don't really take control.
