I personally love a steam like system. I have limited install space with a 120gb 10k hard drive for my OS and games, and a 1tb 5200 array for data. (I like fast load times) This means I cant have all of my games loaded up at once. Steam is nice because I can remove games I'm not currently playing and just load them back in later when I do want to play them, and I don't have to track down disks, keys, etc. Which I admit

What version of Windows are you on? Some people have issues where the extraction path in the temp folders becomes too long. Try changing your Impulse temp folder to the root of one of your drives, then restart Impulse:

Try navigating to the following folder (you may need to turn on hidden files and folders in explorer): XP: C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER_NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting Vista/7: C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting Try moving the 'user.settings' and 'diplomacy.user.settings' files to a different location, run the game again, and see i

To clear out your mesh files, you'll need to go into the application folder (right click in Impulse, select 'Open application folder'), and there are three different 'Mesh' folders. The first is in the root folder, and there may be two more, depending on which version of the game you have, in the \Entrenchment and \Diplomacy folders. Delete everything in those folders, then right click on the game(s) in Impulse, and select 'Verify Installation'. Impulse will check the integrity of the install

Try closing Impulse and running the following file: http://sd.stardock.com/curthendzell/fix_registrations.reg Make sure to follow the link in Internet Explorer, as other web browsers will not handle the file type correctly. Once you follow the link, save the file and double click it to apply it. Then relaunch Impulse. You will need to re-login with your username/e-mail (either will

Try verifying the application through Impulse: -Launch Impulse. Right click on the entry for the application and choose "Verify Installation" -Impulse will check the integrity of the installed application. You should be given feedback as to the state of the installed application. -If errors are found, an update should be made available in Impulse. This is not an update to a newer version, but simply Impulse using the update mechanism to replace corrupted

Pls say it isn't so...
I don't know anything definitive, but last I knew, tomorrow was still a valid target date. This could still change, but it's at least still on the table.

FLooCH: If you're having trouble downloading the update, please do the following within Impulse: -Click the blue menu button in the upper left -Choose 'Preferences...' -Click the 'Reset Data' button -Close impulse and relaunch it. You may notice a long update time, which is normal as it is rebuilding the deleted info.

There is a daily activation limit, but as Pbhead says, if you reach it, something has gone horribly wrong. I don't remember the actual number, but I believe it's at least in the hundreds, if not the thousands.

I can't really think of anything that would prevent that. Even the EULA states you can install it on 2 computers, as long as they're both yours. Could you be more specific about what you're referring to?

From the E.U.L.A.: YOU MAY: 1. Install and use one copy of the SOFTWARE on a single computer. 2. Install a second copy of the SOFTWARE on a second computer only if you are the main user of this computer (home computer or laptop for example). 3. Install the SOFTWARE on another computer only if you change your main workstation. In such a case you must uninstall the software from the old computer. Subject to change, etc, etc, blah, blah...
