"A pure good decision on a random event" wont get my morality past 100, I tried. Its seen morality cant go below zero or above 100. (I've been at both extremes) I ignored the Altarians for 6 months and they are netural to me :sniff!: It look like its gonna be a long boring game for a culture/tech win as I am now a Saint and should not war with the good guys.

I agree about "Sitting on 90% of the galaxy for turn after turn is not going to net you more points" but what else can I do? In my current huge game, I am trying for an Alliance or cultural victory and I cant get it: It just me, Torians and Altarians. The 3 evil majors and all minors are gone. My morality is 100. The other 2 are Intelligent Good/chaotic good. The Torians and Alterians are allied and I am allied with the Torians. For some reason, I cant get the Altarians past wa
my score of 6/8 went from -3000 to +100. thats seem very low for a gigantic game that took long time to win.
I have a problem like Hunterose's. Submitted a score few days ago, was +3000. Finished new game today and notice last game score changed to -3237. BTW, new game score +3000.
why is galciv accessing C:\Program Files\InterVideo\WinDVD\iviaudio.ax this is causing my game to CTD.
Total lockup using ver 1.04.059 in gigantic galaxy. Had to reboot (hold power button) machine. Once at end-of-turn and just now when I gave the dregins approx 30 ships. the only message that keeps appearing in debug is: ASSERT ERROR in file G:\PROJECTS\pear\SOURCE\MWIN.CPP at line 397.
I just built the Terraformer. It did upgrade 21->22, 22->24 and 42->45 (had before and after printscreens). On the planet detail screen, it shows: Cost: 800, Economy: +10%, Star Influence: +10%. There was no mention of Planet quality nor were these improvement mention when this project was first selected. Shouldn't the before and after project descriptions agree? I also think its time for new planet pics for classes 30 -> 39 and 40+.
The ability to move ships from the military projects list to an inactive ship list. This way, the military project list isnt too cluttered.
Excalibur vs Overlord is like Avatar vs Battleship?
Some thoughts on Excaliburs. 1) Dont get me wrong. I am very happy the Excaliburs are back (Brad once said he disliked that name). Are Excaliburs worth the 3000 cost? Wont it take at least 20 turns to build just 1? 2) I remember some late game tech says we could built very powerful but cheap ships. They used to be the Battlestars (I remember their cost and maintence: : 100 shields and 1 credit). Where are the Battlestars? 3) According to Javascott's flowchart, by the
I just got this event for the very first time. The evil AI that discovered this is my major trading partner. How serious is this? ~SDC~
I've seen the city video once. I usually get the planet view.
The Invasion video needs to be tweeked. The sound and ships look great. The planet looks like a class 1 lifeless rock. It need clouds, green landmasses and blue oceans. It should look like a planet worth risking a billion soldiers lives, not a piece of worthless space rock.
MOO3 review on pages 64 and 65 of the May 2003 issue of PC Gamer. Its also 4 of 19 reviews mentioned on mag cover. Still no mention of GC by mag! >:(
One Star Trek mod that's doable now is photon torpedos for battleships. When attacking, you can choose to use phasers, torpedos or both. PT are finite and can only be renewed when a ship docks with a starbase or Star System. ~SDC~
Why should a star with 1 planet have the same limit as a star with 5 populated planets? Each planet should support upto 16 ships in orbit. 80 ships defending 5 planets would be a glorious battle. Unless the ships are not really in planetary orbit but actually on interstellar patrol. Each star can have upto 16 ships on patrol.
Is there a limit on the number of ships in orbit. I cant get more than 2 rows of ships.
It's not the paid Ad I was refering to, it was the mention of GC in a review article starting on pg 43. :)
lot of reading. I would like to see Terror Star get out of first gear too. The ability to build a 'show' Terror Star is bad. A tech to make them a viable weapon is worse. Planetary Drive: improves Terror Star speed .
I not sure if its because Strategy First took out a 2 page ad for Gal Civ (pgs 54-55), but in their feature article, 2003 Mega Preview, Gal Civ got a 4 line mention (pg 51): 'Single-player space-strategy goodness'.
I've played a few games where I forgot the AI's intelligence rating. Where this info is found during a game?
Can't buy it, tried. It's 1 of 2 planets in the last Arcean star system (has a pirate flag). I offered 2 class 18 planets, a developed starbase and 15 techs.
I'm playing my game when this event pops up. It transformed 1 planet to class 35 (not mine :sniff!: ). with the upgrades the AI did, it's now class 42.
I was using the arrow keys to move the survey ship.
In my current game, I'm in 3rd place. My Survey ship auto-survey into a wormhole and wound up in enemy territory. I put it on manual and started my retreat as it had 5 att/30 def rating and had 2 enemy battleships on its tail. I passed an enemy Starbase with def +19. On the next turn, to my surprise, it went from manual to auto-attacked and attacked the starbase! No more Hero. I quit the game without saving. Perhaps a box on the ship screen: Never auto-attack. Ships which are
