^ The avionic names are just an analogy example. Corkscrew can be a maneuver where you decrease your ship's body volume to avoid damage by rolling (if your ship's profile is really wide, but flat). Cobra can be replaced with a quick 180 ship flip with fast deceleration if you press forward. Nesterov's loop can take your ship out of the battle plane and back in rendering you "invincible" for its duration. Etc etc etc... All of these can be a ship's second (

As I mentioned before, the melee core needs to stay the same, EXCEPT: 1. Fluid motion (that includes smooth ship turning, accelerating etc) 2. Various avionic maneuvers (Cobra, Corkscrew, Nesterov's loop etc https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyotr_Nesterov ) 3. Eye candy, particle effects, breathtaking backgrounds etc.

If this landing procedure lasts only 5 seconds and happens only on the planets that have extreme conditions (weather/gravity etc) I'm on board with this mini game. Otherwise, it's a complete time waster. Why do I need to go through this when I land on the moon? Does it reward me if I make a perfect touch down? If it does and it makes sense - I'm on board. If I achieve nothing then f. this. P.S. We need to see WIP of this landing procedure and possible outcomes to judge mor

@Kavik_Kang You probably need to associate ALL your media files with MPC. It's done in MPC menu with a couple of clicks. There 's practically nothing on the market that MPC can't play. And do us a favor - uninstall Windows Media Player. XD j/k http://www.techhive.com/article/2892383/which-is-the-better-free-video-player-mpc-hc-176-vs-vlc-22.html

^ I read your post and it made complete sense. Every time a dot disappears, the player should feel like a little piece of his heart just been torn out. Every time a dot disappears he/she should die a little inside. [e digicons][/e] They don't have to be dots. They can be little hearts for all I care. You never gonna get that feeling with fat bars that represent multiple number of people. HOLD THE DOOR!! [img]http://i.imgur.com/HIGp7BJ.png[
I'm not sure whether pairing and comparing images of SC aliens solely based on their physical characteristics is the best idea. Would it not make more sense to compare based on, say, how effectively the image supports/obscures the character of the race and its dramatic purpose? But to do that we would need much more extensive knowledge on the new aliens, and at least a basic notion of their roles in the plot.
A

Agreed. I felt like going with biological similarities would make more sense at this point in time when we know nearly nothing about new aliens. The point of this thread is to put SD alien work into more tangible perspective and I couldn't find them failing anywhere so far. Feel free to make your own comparisons. It'd be interesting to see everyone's reasoning.

^ Just to put things in perspective. Fallout 4 on its first "major" sale was only $44. Season pass - $24. That's $68 for the game's lifetime about 2 months after its release.
