Well why don't we just go ahead and immobilize your car as you drive on the interstate in rush hour when it decides an mp3 playing through it's sound system wasn't paid for? Maybe we could fix it so your house doors lock and have to be opened by the police too. I'm thinking China, Iran, Syria and North Korea would love this. My son's pc was bsod'd and required a complete hd wipe after he purchased five CDs at Best Buy. Two of them were Sony CDs with their root kit. If I had not been computer savvy he would have had to pay a computer repair shop or would have lost legal data he had on his own PC. Ironically, around that same time, then senator Orin Hatch was proposing exactly these sort of solutions. What these sort of measures imply is that if you buy your own computer
Hey--I didn't know if anyone would find this out in the boonies! Welcome sir. More to follow.
Another account of a lifeform from the game in action against mankind... _____________________________________________________________________ In the deep of night, First Platoon Sergeant Nolan swept his camp perimeter with his multiscan imager. Radar had picked up motion out in the dark yet thermal showed nothing. Sweeps for EM also were showing zilch. Switching to low-light revealed nothing but the windsw
One of those images has a mouseover title attached to it still. I notice the others have been generically sanitized. I won't spoil it further but, "Hehehe".
To start, here's a simple short section in story form of an encounter with one of the possible in-game life-forms. These life forms while falling into general categories have hundreds of customizable attributes and capabilities in scores of areas that affect everything from technological development to the ability to eat or become sick or use captured alien devices. I can't say more, but here is a brief, fictional description of an encounter as it might happen on earth tod
Hi everyone. At 53, I am not getting any younger and while I lack any actual programming skill I have played strategy simulation board games since the age of seven. I have made my own games since I was young and at one time was briefly a partner in a comic/game store in the 80's. A few years later I actually applied for a patent for a board-card game I designed (and even got some investors for). But since I was fifteen, I have had "the game" I have always
I have quick start off but originally the templates was for both starts--didn't work either. Looking at Lavo's now. I have no idea what's going on with these--our templates are the same format. I'm going to have to look really closely here.
He is basically working on the engine right now but also has someof the ship combat done. The game will be somewhere between Sins and GalCiv in concept. Will be interesting to see.
Thanks Goa. I almost tried that. Let me delete them out and then see. Back in a few. I've edited the template to just have the one ship and it still produces nothing. Does anyone have a working (in Rebellion) template example where a race condition determines which group is spawned at a planet? The idea is to have a Vasari player have Vasari ships, Advent have Advent ones, etc. but still allow pl
I am having an issue with in-map templates now. I am trying to create some multiple-group maps that provide specific units based on the race type of the player owning the planet. Instead, no units at all get placed there. I have edited pre-Rebellion templates that worked to no avail and have used the Rebellion version of Galaxy Forge and still no results. Any suggestions? Here's a simple example (showing just between the "planet items" and "default te
I'll actually be buying his game when it comes out. Chris Roberts (Freelancer, Wing Commander, Star Citizen) pledged to his project and said he would have hired him if he hadn't progressed so far in his own work already.

If they locked this thread, they would be acknowledging the issue. By ignoring it, they attempt to sweep it under the rug, or hope that it eventually fades away.
Look at the Synergy ability...it has a target filter that makes use of the IsPsi thing.... If you made only the pirate faction(s) Psi (you'd have to change Advent and then synergy, not too hard) then you could do things that specifically target them... For example, you could make an AoE like armistice that only affects psi ships....or allow a player to "bribe" ships/planets, but only those that are psi... <
I guess the studios figure that as long as they hit all the emotional beats, no one will notice a bad story.
I think this sums up the problem with Hollywood and science fiction really well. Their adaptation of I, Robot is a good example of this. As for Oblivion...technically beautiful. Tom actually did a great job in his role (and I am not a real fan of his). The story itself had a lot of promise but it

Well, carp. Filthy, stinking carp. Is the "isPsi" still valid or are you implying it is now unusable too? On the bright side--thanks to you guys: Modder's "Get-an-Answer" Thread 1821 replies <span style="font-size: small; color
So, which is more real, Star Trek or Star Wars?
MUWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAAAHAAA!
Actually, writing a fiction book for money is probably the wrong approach. You write it to write. If you get lucky some money can fall out.
