You can use the one I sent the info for and play for five months--plus create a new char from the empty pilot slot there as well. Tri_Exporter will take the models from the Eve DX9 folder. Right now I am modding the base files just so I can tell right off if I have bjorked something. I have a second directory of the game. No one slapped my hand and said, "No! No!". I have no idea where I should properly place the actual complete mod or what the refere

Cannabalism would solve our problems too--then only the strong and healthy would survive. [e digicons]O:)[/e] To keep it simple, Abel offered God the best animal of his herd and took time to prepare it (gut, skin cook and divide the pieces--i.e., he made a feast as if the Lord was coming to dinner). Cain while working in the field resented the interuption and simply grabbed a sheaf of the crop he was already harvesting and tossed it to the side to "offer up" when he was done...t
I loved (love) Freelancer by Microsoft and I played Eve just because I wanted to see what could be done but above these two (with a lean towards Freelancer), I would LOVE to see Sins as an MMO type game in a persistent (permanent) universe. It's the level of strategic combat and development that would make it a blast and the ships aren't so universe shaking powerful that one person would consume a galaxy. Would anyone else out there play? (I hear it's coming right after multi-
SO I am curious--pardon the voodoo zombie magic--is this still available and it's author to be found? I thought it was way cool. COME BACK! THERE'S AN EXPANSION!! (and netbooks are way more common and powerful now).
Well Ideally since I am doing a pretty light mod there is no reason I can't do it for all (and I prefer to so anyone can play)--I just played in all three versions and my planets showed up in each so that's good. I haven't got the asteroids in yet--they are next. I had a horrible time when I first tried modding back in vanilla because Entrenchment wa just coming out and the forum was littered with broken, incomplete and innacurate directions--plus the game crashed a lot back the
Ok--Played through a short game with no crashes. I am about to do the asteroids. Basically just want to change (reduce) the number of resource asteroids about them. I noticed that I was one short of civilian facilities on the planets I* made--instead of six there were five, instead of eight, seven and so on--is this because the extractors are taking slots? I'll post how it goes after the asteroids. I did also swap the same files into entrenchment and va
Ok--here's an update. Got another crash with something showing about direct x--others before mentioned the game engine. This time when I restarted it skipped out of play once with a dev pop-up about something arcane and when I selected skip, I was able to continue playing and had no other problems. I am playing the dev build but it is a clone of my install and I ran that for over seven hours today with no issues and the untouched directory I cloned from runs fine with no e
Ok--I modified the basic planet files and then pasted them back over the originals. They were edited original files converted to text and then back to bin. I'm looking at planet files and they reside in the vanilla Sins and Entrnchment folders (aside from the pirate base)--so that's where I put them. I actually booted the game in dev mode and made it onto the map--saw one of my colonizable planets had the stats I had changed--great. I surrendered then game minidump
Intercepted message between the Devs about how best to best handle playersasking for multi-core support for Sins now: "Crush them, see them driven before us, and hear the lamentation of their women."
I wouldn't critique models too much--have you seen the hideous Advent envoy included in the stock game?
Lol--who said it was elegant?
Make a self buff that inflicts one point of damage and then the damage can be the trigger for the repair?
Sins is merely an excuse to complain about bugs, balance and delays. That's what everyone is really paying for ;) the game is just icing for the cake.
Quoting SIN-Imperium, reply 50 On a diverging note, one thing I have noticed is the AI player spots syncing attacks with the pirates as if they were coordinating directly. Anyone else? oh yeah. Happens way too much. Though, I'm not sure if this is the AI pooling together so much as them getting good intelligence. TBH, I'm pretty sure another way the AI cheats is that it always has the full map revealed. It sure
Hmmm..me still so curious to try it. It would twist current game strategy and mechanics some--essentially, systems would be less defended by the need for more coverage.
Holy cow--a reply! Lol, I figured I just wrote this for myself. I have been playing and replaying with it to see how lag is and how the AI handles it. Mainly I am tweaking to get the AI/Pirates more effective. On the Terra side, I had them steamrolling Sol system every ten minutes (without Diplomacy in play) but the "Imperium" side was very inactive. So I broke open a sytem more and am tweaking to get the Imperium stimulated.. The planet count is high b
So when is the new stuff out?
On my map I break the star to planet connections (with two small exceptions)--so you can't get to a star to jump. On that one I have not seen culture spread beyond a system but I haven't played a long game of it enough on that map to see what would happen--so it was news to me. Have to check it out and see what happens. Stars are linked automatically but requirs the long-range jump ability and you can connect them with phaselanes if you chose.
I'd like carrier launched repair drones.
Yeah--if you are a childless or single child PROFESSIONAL couple you can swing a good lifestyle pretty well. If you have more children, a single household income or two non-professionals look at the suggested diets, lifestyle activites, medical care and it is absolutely out of reach for most people. Not excusing or judging but people on assistance here in the US are often very obese or their children are and it's simply that the food you can AFFORD to buy is high carb, high suga
Lol...I loved Christina Hendricks from "Firefly" and I have only seen a couple of the episodes of Mad Men but I may start using, "It's toasted". Yeah the simple thing is, consume fewer calories, burn more off--guaranteed to work. But it isn't that simple for everyone. Another factor is, eat healthy, get counseling, etc.--and a lot of people can't afford to. they can't pay a therapist or a fitness trainer, they can't quit their desk job that makes them sit all
My son read the bio of one of the infomercial diet/muscle products testimonial faces. He was a fitness trainer and body builder. They paid him 200k to not exercise and to eat out for six months and then put him on their "diet supplement" and told him to go back to his "normal" diet and excerise routine (a.k.a. fitness trainer). Then he stood on camera smiled six months later and said, without changing my normal diet or exercise I lost fifty pounds with "these". His ap
Hmm...I hadn't noticed that. I like the concept as one of my fav maps has no phase connections--cool. Have to look. Game definitely shuts down and loads up faster. Very nice.
I am one that will love this. Always wanted to know why we went back to the 1500s when the world was flat
Game mechanics to keep it simple...and to simplify movement for the AI I think. Watch the AI try to navigate a crowded area when it has to move down or up to escape--its very slow. Takes less units to defend a 2d area so it reduces cpu too overall. A little more eye-brain contemplation for players to deal with
Really nice looking.
