It's true...would love to see the game brought closer to current specs just to know it will 'stay around" that much longer. Not having seen all the new things in it, I'm intrigued to but i think just like with Entrnchment to Diplomacy that while some things may be "meh" for change, others will be great. We'll have to wait and see. I just read a player created (Goon Squad) paper from Eve on how to create and extend virtual boxes in game which form aroun

Yep--that's where I got it. Looking at the error items I'm wondering if its new pirate abilities from the beta that are failing to show? Were they added in the beta and Celestial is overwriting not knowing about the additions?
Ok--looks intriguing and I really want to try it out in Diplomacy but I get a minidump when the game calls to install the mod. I am not sure but I think the Dev version I ran is the beta. The minidump occurs in the beta and non-beta versions for me. Here is the dev build error text: Failed to find data file 'AbilityPirateFlakBurst.entity'. (SubPath = GameInfo) Failed to find data file 'AbilityPirateIncendiarySlug.en
...or a company using the success of a product to work their way up to bigger and better games. I'm glad to see the investment. This isn't Crysis or some new megas release. Eve Online runs on single cpu systems and most of us aren't multitasking while we play Sins. It's a step in a good direction. We'll let ya know on the forums how fun it is ;)
Quoting Whiskey144, reply 9 Also, Corvettes=WIN. I'm actually kind of worried about this. Sins already has too many small ships running around, I don't know how we are supposed to deal with something smaller than frigates. Though at least it sounds like they won't be primary combat ships.
Muwhahahaha...patrol boats!
Perhaps a new planet type called, "PacMan" that would...chase and eat strikecraft? [e digicons]O:)[/e]
A bit OT but I smell Stardock peeps here. Have you guys considered and iphone/android app to alert Sins players when games/players are online? Would be awesome.
Has anyone told him we can't handle the truth? (sorry--it had to be said)
Ok--I am ready to pre-order. Pant, pant. please, please, please tell me Galaxy Forge gets a tweak in this release.. .pweeee-eease?
Muwahahahahaah! It will be mine...oh yes---it will be mine. Man, this game should sooo become an MMO. Errr...tell me he isn't spoofing us.
Ok-- had the issue a few days ago where I got a minidump if I put MSGM on top of TSOP and if I put TSOP on top of MSGM, it overwrites it. Posted here by request. Use this mod all the time and TSOP.
Okie--will do.
Stay tuned for quantum computed addressing with an infinite number of addresses ;)
I use torpedoes, cruise missiles and long range cannon for stand off effect but change the load out for particular missions. You can mount and de-mount shield and armor hardeners, propulsion and power boosts, different remote drone load outs--it's quite heady. My main is near being able to fly a strategic cruiser which can change load out and configuration on the fly. The alt has boosted planet engineering skills and is able to generate income from them while drifting in space. There a
Minmatar major on projectile weapons, Amarr on beam weaponry, Gallente on Mass Drivers and Missiles and Caladari on Drones (I've played Gallente in trial along with Amarr but stuck with Minmatar on my paid account so apologies if I muddled any of that). I'll get the stuff for my mod to you shortly. The active chars you get have implants worth hundreds of millions and if they die they are lost. The ships are nicely outfitted and have non-replaceable "rigs" if they are des
There is a manual!? Where?
It would be intriguing to provide an automatic ability to siege frigates that buffs the attack and defense of all other siege frigates near them and to make the buff stackable for each of them. That would nicely simulate the effect of a dedicated artillery battalion and make siege frigates worth building.
I hear an Advent prior has them locked in their office and a team of Advent talents are torturing them psychically until the full Sins upgrade is complete.
I'll take you up on it Myfist0. You can do the Eve trial now with no credit card--in past you could not. I'm not doing an Eve conversion but I do need one new ship for my planned mod. I have one planet ability I did want created but I'm sure I can stumble through that...eventually. I am setting up a pc raid sata server tonight but I'll get some proposed mod info to you. I also have a website and will get some FTP access created so you have an easy file swap and stash for this. It's a
Ironically, I have had no problem myself with the Jarusal but I have had two minidumps (mailed to Stardock) in 1v1 solo games early in the game while engaging militia with a cap ship. Aside from that has worked smoothly.
I went on but the 600+ win and 11 loss player saw me and said, "Cya later"..after asking if "anyone ELSE was on". He's the only person I've seen on in the past week. It CAN be played--just have to find someone.
I have an Eve Online account that is about 7 months or so along and is good until July 10 of this year. It has essentially been parked with me just updating the skill queue for the characters of which there is a well developed Minmatar main, a fairly developed alt and a new char waiting or to be replaced. I've around 100 million isk (which isn't a fortune but it lets you get what you need and is good seed money) plus a rigged heavy cruiser, battle cruiser, a cloaked scout, c
It's the scale of change now for which we don't have any precedent in most of our own lifetimes. Global change and interdependencies on a scale we haven't experienced. Workers in India and China competing for jobs in the UK, Mexico and the US. Diseases, cultures, goods and ideas rapidly transported on a daily basis across the entire planet. The ability to annihilate large portions of or entire national populations with nuclear or biological assaults as a means to obt
The whole point of scouts is to gather information by quickly moving about. You shouldn't be able to stop them effortlessly. Be prepared or get scouted.
I have no disagreement with "effortlessly"...its the need for massed fleets, heavy ships with attached strike craft en masse to ensure their destruction that's simply absurd or at best unrealistic. Patrol boats, corvettes and destroyers and even light frigates in real
