I definitely like it. Multiple viewpoint AARs tend to be my favorite and it's a shame there aren't more of them. It works out especially well because now we can see both Jordan's personal story and the larger TOA campaign story side-by-side. Also, as I mentioned, Altos is my favorite character. Also, sort of a minor note, but I really like how you've been tying your own plot and the plot of the campaigns together, not just in 'big' ways like Jordan being the agent who helps the Drengi

I don't even want to create a Metaverse character as I'm not interested in it; however, apparently I have to do so in order to play the TOA "Tournament" scenarios. Every time I try, however, I receive this message: --------------------------- Message from webpage --------------------------- Exception : Invalid Serial Numbers Please copy this message (Control + C) and notify the site administrators. --------------------------- OK

Oh, those capitals. As far as I know there is no way to decommission them, making it even more important where you place them, and furthering the mystery of why the AI always seems to build them all on their homeworld.

Your current description sounds about right. In the campaigns, Super Abilities appear to be disabled, meaning the speed reduction wouldn't exist (I assume you're not playing on the original Dread Lords, in which the speed reduction is absent because DL had no Super Abilities). I'm not sure what could have caused the earlier result (speed reduced by one) assuming you're remembering it correctly.

So, if in TOA, Ascension Victory is conceived of as the same kind of transcendence event as Technology Victory was in DL and DA, what is Technology Victory now flavored as? The same thing achieved by a different means (technological research instead of Precursor crystals)? Or is Technology Victory now conceived of as something else? It has no real relevance to the game; I'm just curious.
The 100% zone is little bit worse in terms of an Econ-income/Popgrowth-ratio than the +70% zone. However, population is general is the best investment you can possibly have in this game. So, if you focus on pop inititally, and attribute some points into it, or have Breeder SA - you'll need to invest a small amount of cash into growth - which will pay back multiple times once you've reached ~9b ppl and jacking up taxes to max.
I understood as much already. Like I said, I

There's a number of other interesting features regarding some of the default ships (in DL and DA). For example, the hull of the medium "Battle Axe" ship is actually a small hull, no matter what race you play as. Also, on some of the ships that have "fake" weapons, the weapons actually 'fire' during combat, albeit solely as a visual effect (for instance, one ship that used only beam weapons had fake missiles fire during the combat viewer). Is this possible to replicate with your hull mod, Kryo

Uh... what? I'm not the greatest expert on GalCiv lore (and I think the original poster has long since vanished) but a lot of this is either rather superficial or just isn't right. BTW, I don't mean to be overly critical; I just think you should know a little more about the backstory before you post advice on it. The "break alliance" button does not seem to work for minor races (neither, BTW, does the "trade embargo"). The only way I know to break an alliance with a minor race is to refuse to honor your alliance when another race declares war. This will probably happen eventually to most minors, but if you absolutely must break the alliance this minute, bribe an AI to attack your "ally" and refuse the prompt to honor the alliance.

Well, I'm somewhat interested in the other two zones, as I try to keep my approval at least in the yellow (45% and up) as my roleplaying half wants my people to like me. What are the effects, if any, of these approval zones?

That means the problem is with the mod itself. I've never had this happen in the (relatively simple) mods I've made, so you're on your own there. However, I do know that in TOA, there was a known issue with the Terrans and Altarians not building warships. If the mod is for TOA and the Breen are derived from either of those races (unlikely from what I remember of them on DS9, but you never know), then it could be the same issue.
