Is it possible to consider another name for the mechanic? In my opinion, "Unrest" feels overused across games. Calling it the "Loyalty" mechanic (or penalty) feels more accurate for this game. I like the term "Loyalty" because I feel it defines what is going on here; your people are switching loyalty to the SK. Minor point, but something to at least consider.

I wonder if the developers added a "dampening effect" to the entire SK battle it would help. For example, since the fight is at the SK home location, all damage is reduced by 1/3 or 1/2. The boss fight needs to feel more "bossy." What if he had a trait that would sometimes cause random things to occur like spells fizzling, etc. Just some ideas to throw out there.

It appears units die when attacking shards. I wonder if the lieutenants are attacking shards and dying, thus causing instances of them disappearing thus no way to get the keys.

Example 10 - gamebreaking bug! Despite exploring and destroying everything on the Mountain Pass map, the SK lieutenants are nowhere to be found. Player is unable to win this map. Please note: this was a brand new game started in 0.701, not a continuation. Example 8 - I had a bug where Varda's unit stack was attacked during the SK turn. I received a warning Varda was under attack but it did not go to combat. When it was my turn, the SK stack that attacked Varda's stack was dead but was still shown on the map. None of my units were able to take their turn. I had to save and then load to fix the issue. My units were then able to move. I wonder if the SK attacked Varda, but then the tower killed the SK unit, and then the game had a problem
