Me too. While waiting, I have been playing GalCiv3 and PBEM Minesweeper.
AlLanMandragoran
Selected a ship and it froze. Do not see a trend as of yet.
This is happening an irritating amount of times. I am adjusting the slider to go from 100% production on a planet to 100% research. I exit the govern screen but when trying to leave the planetary screen by clicking done, freeze frame! Task manager is the only way to kill it.
After modifying the sliders and such on the planetary screens, I am intermittently experiencing freezes when trying to exit the planetary screen by clicking "Done". I do not yet see a trend or trigger. I am forced to use task manager to kill the game and reload.
Is it possible to consider another name for the mechanic? In my opinion, "Unrest" feels overused across games. Calling it the "Loyalty" mechanic (or penalty) feels more accurate for this game. I like the term "Loyalty" because I feel it defines what is going on here; your people are switching loyalty to the SK. Minor point, but something to at least consider.
Is it the spell of making or the spell of destroying?
I agree. I am waiting for new stuff to take it around the block again.
Cool. I see lots of potential with this mechanic.
I wonder if the developers added a "dampening effect" to the entire SK battle it would help. For example, since the fight is at the SK home location, all damage is reduced by 1/3 or 1/2. The boss fight needs to feel more "bossy." What if he had a trait that would sometimes cause random things to occur like spells fizzling, etc. Just some ideas to throw out there.
Champion Algore casts anthropogenic global warming spell: all sea levels rise 50 meters to gain 10,000 gold. It would have a multi-turn cast requirement and fortunately can be disrupted. [e digicons]:digichet:[/e]
I believe it is a design feature to make choosing spells matter. In other words, when you see a spell you want, grab it then or you may not see it later. I believe they implemented this to eliminate the "player will eventually research everything" syndrome. I like the direction of this. Of course I could be wrong; maybe it is a bug.
Maybe it could be an "Open Sesame" spell to unlock the gate. That, or good 'ol breakin' and enterin'.
It appears units die when attacking shards. I wonder if the lieutenants are attacking shards and dying, thus causing instances of them disappearing thus no way to get the keys.
Go back a second time, it will work then. I forgot to record that bug. [e digicons]:omg:[/e]
This happened to me as well back one time in the 0.70 build. If I recall correctly, I won a total of 3x and it happened once out of 3 victories.
Example 14 - a third ice elemental lair without a defending stack
Example 13 - found another ice elemental location without a defending stack on the Aereon map
Example 12 - an ice elemental lair on the Aereon map does not have a stack defending it.
Example 11 - multiple enemy units occupied the same tile in tactical combat. Is this intended?
Thanks, XWerewolfX!
Despite exploring the entire Mountain Pass map, the SK lieutenants are MIA. I am unable to kill them for the gate key. I was wondering where they were all game... the map never spawned them? Save: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19969679/mountainpass_unwinnable.EleSav
Example 10 - gamebreaking bug! Despite exploring and destroying everything on the Mountain Pass map, the SK lieutenants are nowhere to be found. Player is unable to win this map. Please note: this was a brand new game started in 0.701, not a continuation. Here is the save: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19969679/mountainpass_unwinnable.EleSav <img src="https://dl.dropboxusercontent.c
Example 9 - In Varda's skill tree, despite Fire Breath being dependent on Maul, the player can choose Fire Breath independent of choosing Maul. Please see screenshot.
Example 8 - I had a bug where Varda's unit stack was attacked during the SK turn. I received a warning Varda was under attack but it did not go to combat. When it was my turn, the SK stack that attacked Varda's stack was dead but was still shown on the map. None of my units were able to take their turn. I had to save and then load to fix the issue. My units were then able to move. I wonder if the SK attacked Varda, but then the tower killed the SK unit, and then the game had a problem
