You can install AMoC over the Impulse version of Born of Blood. Unfortunately, the Impulse installer doesn't set up the registry correctly when SotS/Born of Blood is installed, so you need to edit both the install path and version number in the Sword of the Stars registry entry before installing AMoC from Gamersgate. A Murder of Crows is definitely worth the upgrade.

Last night I updated to the latest version of Impulse, then used that to update SoaSE to the latest version. When I was finished, I exited out of Impulse and left to make a phone call. I came back two hours later to find that the CPUs were both running at about 2.5 times the normal idling temperature. Since there were no open applications to kill, I brought up task manager and checked the running processes, and there I saw 'Impulse.exe' was still running, consuming almost 100% of the CPU. I k

I can manually shut it down, but I can't permanently shut it down. It starts running every time I turn my computer on, even though I have not run any Stardock programs. I cannot find it in Services or in the Startup processes so I can't just disable it at start up. How is it launched? How can it be permenantly disabled? Thanks.

Thanks for your quick response. Given the fact the Stardock has released updates that have crashed peoples computers and wiped out gamefiles requiring people to reinstall the game, I would prefer to not have any permanent Stardock processes running in the background. It's not worth the risk.

Why is this Stardock process always running in the background, even when no Stardock software is running? I don't want extra processes I don't need running in the background. Do I need to remove Stardock Central to get rid of this process permanently?

It sounds like a lot of good features have been added in the expansion pack, and I am looking forward to it being released. Is there any plan to add an auto-explore option for scouts and other ships?

I completely agree on Waypoints and Rallypoints. And also, I would like to see an auto-explore option for scouts and other ships. These features would eliminate about a third of the mouse clicking per game for me.

Ever since upgrading to the version with autolaunch, I have had a problem where once the first colony ship has been built, a colony ship will be built (and launched) from that planet every turn from that point on. This also happens with planets building constructors. The only way to build ships at the normal rate is to disable autolaunch. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a fix for this? I am currently running version 1.02.40.

I have been playing the beta versions since 3A and I think that GalCiv is shaping up to be a great game, but after hours of playing I do have a few suggestions... 1) I feel like I am doing way too much mouse clicking throughout the course of the game. One improvement that I would like to see is an option for each planet to not give notification each time a project from the build queue is completed, and to just proceed to the next project in the queue. Typically, I want most of my planet
