galaxy366 is referring to the turret to the right of the center of the image, next to the hull number of some kind. Of course you can't tell if it can rotate or not with a still image.
Zeta1127
Ah, so I have tangled with plenty of these pros. Zeta1127 Dragoenix Order
Screenshot verse concept art, same difference, it is still nothing tangible.
Indeed, I won't be preordering this until I see something more substantial than a screenshot and a vague list of features.
Point 1. Faster than light travel is impossible (Einstein theorized it), but Star Trek actually tries to explain it with an ACTUAL physicist on staff and how they get around this in a plausible way. Star Wars on the other hand doesn't even try thus making it irrelevant in reality.
There are some things we just don't understand, for all we know FTL is possible.
Sometimes a game update won't completely crush a mod and cause the modders to have to update their work. Guess Stardock hasn't figured out how to do that yet.
Actually, some patches haven't invalidated mods, the 1.21 patch of late for Diplomacy has had a minimal affect on mods, due to how little it actually changed and more importantly what it changed.
I don't think there is a version compatible with 1.191, the mod team is devoting their time to the Diplomacy version of the mod.
About time, at least the devs know that their diplomacy system isn't living up to the hype. On a related note, DesConner is going to be even more pleased.
Glad to help, Draakjacht and FBICamper; it is also back on page 208, where I first found out what it is.
To be more precise, Ebla by E.S. Posthumus.
Finally, an actual controller to replace the Wii Remote and the other pathetic excuses for controllers its got right now.
And as I have been expecting, DirtySanchezz makes his standard "State of Sins Multiplayer" spiel. My first reply wasn't a direct reference to EaW, though it is an excellent example of my analogy, but the old TIE Fighter and X-wing games, and the back story to the TIE series fighters of the Galactic Civil War.
People like that need to understand that they simply don't understand the mechanics of the game, and that the game is not cheating. My dad has a different answer to that, he just doesn't understand how to play "modern" games, unless they are light gun games.
I want this too, but it simply isn't going to happen; until there is a Sins of a Solar Empire 2, with multi-core support and a 64-bit exe, which Rebellion is not.
I just played some R3 and tested the "new" destroyers for the big three. The Vera is a good ship, but Gauss Burst only has one level, and Gauss Defense Rail Gun's second level loses all of its damage and some other stats, according to the info box. The Salvation is great ship, but Repulsion Field doesn't seem to work. The Marrasuk is also a good ship, and doesn't seem to have any bugs from what I have seen so far.
The random maps just need to always spawn an asteroid by each player's homeworld, and make sure that the rings of planets and other stellar bodies don't overlap and cause weird things like overlapping gravity wells and the like, then they will be viable.
aright thanks i thought it was my net or something i mean 3 games were available for me to join i do need to get diplomacy. (hey Zeta1127 i guessing u played star wars empire at war? Lol
Among many other things... What I can I say, I love Star Wars for the most part.
The vanilla, Entrenchment, and Diplomacy situation is like the TIE series from Star Wars, where the TIE Avenger i.e. Entrenchment is the middle child that is overshadowed by its siblings, the far more prevalent TIE Interceptor i.e. vanilla and the far superior TIE Defender i.e. Diplomacy.
Zombiegod like just got both vanilla and Entrenchment from what he has said.
Sword of the Stars would have to have a 1GB of RAM requirement, I might still just get it but not install it yet.
I will say the same thing I said above: what more do you want from it? Motion controls have already been done, 3D has been done; what "original" things can they do?
Like something that didn't have the Wii name, because it doesn't resonate with me as a somewhat avid gamer.
Ah, so it is basically a DS meets a Wii Remote, I was still expecting something a little bit more original.
It is a shame that I bought GalCiv II Ultimate two of months ago, and Sins for $10 at Wal-Mart followed by the expansion bundle before that. I really was hoping their wouldn't be a sale like this somewhere down the line I could have taken advantage of if I would have just waited, because I really didn't need to buy GalCiv II. Oh well, maybe I will get GalCiv. I am not much of a turn-based player, but I haven't played GalCiv II much, though it looks like I might like it if I take t
I don't pay very much attention to E3, because I don't have the latest consoles, and that is all it basically is, consoles, consoles, and more consoles. I honestly thought Nintendo was coming up with something other than a fancy Wii controller.
The problem is fighters are so weak against anti-strike craft defenses, even more so than bombers, and there just isn't enough strike craft and antimatter regeneration in the hangar defenses. Hangar defenses need a buff, I would go so far as to double the number of supported squadrons and greatly enhance the antimatter reactors.
