I've been going for about 7 years and it used to be a lot better as far as all the workers having to wear costumes. Over the years it's evolved into more of a fantasy festival than a true Renaissance festival. Also, if you miss the bawdy jokes, you obviously didn't stand close enough to the pickle or nut sellers. Although I really think that they should have people selling hot cross buns as well. <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=

Sorry, I assumed that you had started out with a Gal Civ serial number and were submitting with that one, then upgraded and started submitting with that one. I looked you up in the database. You have 12 records submitted under Goobigoo. You have 2 records submitted under MightyGoobi (the two that are showing up). You can't change the name that you submit with and still have all your scores to show up. If you want your scores to still show up, you have to re-re

It may have been a temporary error. Are you using the website or SDC? Also, if all else fails, the forum posts will show up in google. :) So you can type in galciv and newfyscotian and get a bunch of hits. The link didn't work so well. You'll have to google it yourself. :) [Message Edited]

If you can't install Gal Civ on the computer that you access the internet, you can get the standalone patch with just the serial number from the downloads section at this site. It's not the latest version, but it has the free 1.10 expansion pack in it and updates up to 1.20. The non-free Altarian Prophecy does not yet have a standalone update for it. [Message Edited]

The minimum resolution for Gal Civ is 1024 x 768, so that should be fine. It could be something wrong with your copies of the bik files or else a codec on your system that's interfering with it. Do you have WinDVD or QuickTime installed on your system? Sometimes they try to take over the .bik files associations and that generally causes problems. You can reclaim the associations by downloading the bink tools at http://www.radgametools.co

Once it has a target, it doesn't check for a closer one. Ships weren't saving the id of the anomaly destination so if they lost that at anypoint, it could be that the anomaly thinks that they are still targeting it when they aren't. I've made that change and it will appear in the next update. I don't know if it'll help. I may have to make a debug mode to test it. Minor races don't trade ships. It's to keep them from getting ripped off. <B

LOL! I can see that, as always, craziness ensues in this thread. :) By the way, I love the Baldur's Gate saga. I also really like Neverwinter Nights + its expansion packs, and I'm looking forward to Baldur's Gate III and Neverwinter Nights II.

You need to go to Link and install the ATI Radeon drivers there. Once you get to the website, click on Radeon, then Windows XP and then a list of download sites will appear.

What resolution are you running in? If it's changing resolutions to run in fullscreen, it may be running into trouble trying to change back. You'll want to make certain that you have the latest sound and video drivers and DirectX. If your default resolution is lower than 1024x768 at 32 bit color you may want to increase it manually before running The Political Machine as not all drivers handle the resolution change well. If you are running

The save games are the files with the extension .pmsave in the data directory of Political Machine. To attach a file in an e-mail using Outlook or outlook express, click on new e-mail and then click on the little paper clip button. Then browse to the data directory of Political Machine and select the files that you want to send in the dialog. Then click ok. Deaniac, if you are also getting zero scores I would also like to see your save game.

The no text bug is a problem that all the 82810E and 82815 Intel cards seem to have. We have contacted Intel about this and are waiting to hear back from them.

republicanguy, I need to know more about your system and what version you're running. Please follow these instructions to run dxdiag and send me the report 1) Click on your windows start button 2) Click on Run 3) type the word dxdiag in the dialog box and click OK. 4) Allow it to check to see if your drivers are digitally signed, let it run its tests 5) Click Save all information and save the file somewhere you'll be able to f

I don't need the screenshot for the Arcean thing. That's a bug that I'm going to have to find by examining the code. I've been over the code for autosurvey several times and I can't find anything that looks like it would break down. If the anomalies were out of range, it wouldn't go for them, but that's about it. When you say it's skipping over turns what specifically do you mean it's doing? Skipping ships that have moves left? [Message Edited

Intel may not have the option to disable antialiasing and such, but if they do, it would probably be somewhere in the advanced settings. We are still having problems with no text on systems with certain intel integrated video cards. We are working with them to try and find a solution. But you should make sure that you are running the latest drivers for your video card by going to this link and searching for your video card: <a href="
