It's possible, but it's just not a trivial thing to code properly and we have a lot of stuff to get in before Gal Civ 2 goes gold.

In the new inteface you will be able to see your treasury when you need to buy something. I've added a bug report to our database about not being able to buy improvements that are in the queue.
I have added this to my suggestions list.
I'd have suggested the omega drivers, but that isn't a NVidia or a ATI card is it?
Hmm, I think that a card that was made in 2002 should support DirectX 9.0, but maybe it's having trouble with the changes made in DirectX 9.0c. If you send me your debug.err file and a smart exception report, I'll see what I can find out. [email protected] <A href="https://www.stardock.com/products/s
Pretty good.
Brad: Angel is bad-ass. And when he loses his conscience he's EVIL. I'm also Willow with a surprisingly high score for Cordelia. I'm not a lesbian either. I haven't seen the whole Buffy series, but Willow turning lesbian never seemed appropriate. She's my favorite character though. You scored
Make sure that you have Direct3D acceleration turned on. I googled your video card and from the website that I found, it looks like it's a laptop video card? You will probably have to go to the website of the laptop's manufacturer to see if there are any updated drivers, or you could try running a google search on your video card name and the word driver. How old is the laptop? It sounds like the card was made before DirectX 9 came out, so if you don't have an updat
There don't appear to be any keyboard events in DesktopX and no one is around at the moment for me to ask. Remapping keys wouldn't be impossible even if we had to make our own config file, but it is low priority at the moment.
Hmm...if you send me an e-mail with your debug.err file from you GalCiv2 directory, I'll see if I can figure out what's going on, and maybe send you a GCConfig.exe that will print out debug messages.
Hmmm...might be related to the bug that Lucky Jack reported where ships on autopilot sometimes overshoot their target.
You should be able to use Stardock central to uninstall it. Unless you think that yours has gotten corrupted by something, though, you might want to archive it first so that if you go to re-install it you don't have to redownload the whole thing. Also, if you're uninstalling it because you're going to install it on a different computer, you can move the archive to the other computer and use SDC to install it from the archive.
Also, we do have a miniturization tech which will allow you to fit more on your ships.
I think that's a bug I've fixed since the last beta went out. The code that distributes the planets among the stars will simply hide a planet it can't fit, and the code that counted the habitable planets wasn't checking to see if all the planets were actually on the map. If you want an in game reason until you get the fix, pretend that they're planets in an alternate universe.
We're planning on letting you rename the planets, probably we'll have it work like ship renaming did in GC1: you'll double click on the planet name in the context area and it'll pop up the name planet dialog.
Well, it looks like I haven't posted a dev journal entry since April 15th. Sorry about that, guys! As you probably know, the next phase of the GC2 beta will focus on the user interface. That means that we have to get a lot of the screens in, which is now pretty easy thanks to DesktopX. However, the sheer number of them means that it's time consuming. Anyway, here
When you installed the new drivers, did you uninstall the old ones first? It's usually a good idea to uninstall your video driver, reboot, then install the new driver. Otherwise, it doesn't always correctly update the driver. If you did it that way, or you try doing that and it still doesn't work, run dxdiag and save the report. Then send the report to me at [email protected]
Also, you can have a fullscreen window. Just use GC to configure the highest possible resolution and then click windowed, and you get the best of both worlds.
Are you asking about the window size for the GCConfig program, or GalCiv2? You can create a custom window size by using the sliders on the GCConfig program. Also, Alt+F4 should always work to close an application.
No, you should be able to destroy it and then rebuild it. So what happened when you failed to upgrade it? And was there anything in the list when you tried to rebuild it, or did it just not let you build it on that tile?
Not for the GC1 beta. It was after release, either during or after the Altarian Prophecy beta.
Also, the idea is that they use the colony ship to make their base of operations on the colony. The colony ships are like flying cities that then find permanent homes on their new worlds.
Also, you are always welcome in #galciv on irc.stardock.com. You can use sdcentral's chat client or any IRC client to connect to irc.stardock.com and type /join #galciv.
Hmmm...so you can't scroll down even in fullscreen mode? I could only reproduce that here when it was in windowed mode the size of the desktop (which is the only way that you can use scrolling in windowed mode). What is the color depth of your desktop set to? If it's not 32 bit, see if changing your color depth gets you something other than a black box. Other than that, I'd need to take a look at your debug.err to get an idea of what's going on. <A href="mailto:carie
Please send me your debug.err file. [email protected]
