Where did GCConfig install? Is there a media folder in the same directory as the exe? Have you tried running the GalCiv2 beta yet?

I used to post an Excel spreadsheet of known bugs at the top of a bug reports thread on the galciv forums, but not many people used it so there were still a lot of redundant reports. We use a bug database program to track the bugs, but it would probably be just as overwhelming as the forums anyway. And maintaining an active bug list would just give us something else to do. If it really gets to be a problem for us, we will do something about it.

I think that the driver version that dxdiag (and debug.err) list is something that it gets from the driver file and may not be the same as what is posted on the website. You can check the driver version in the hardware device manager to see if it's the same there. At any rate, the driver date is less confusing. I had Scott forward your e-mail to me and I replied to that.

Hmm... my post didn't work the first time. Please be more specific about what you mean by "Neither do the ships, etc." --Cari
Also, you have to build a starport on planets other than your initial one, so you can't just pop a colony ship out of nowhere.
If your mouse cursor is over a row of techs that continues offscreen, you should be able to scroll just that row. It'll take a bit more work to make it scroll the whole page of techs, and to make it scroll if the mouse cursor is over a blank row. I added it to my list.
It's promising to be an absolutely gorgeous weekend here in Michigan, so please be patient if you post something on the forums and no one from Stardock responds until Monday. I personally plan to get as much stuff done in my yard and the outside of my house as possible this weekend. :) I'm only going to cover what I did this week because before that you hav
If you have zero troops on your transport it will do odd things, but I'm guessing that's not the case here. Yesterday I found a bug where it was deleting the invasion process before it created a message, which caused a crash because it had deleted info it needed. So this may be related. I'll look into it more when I get a chance.
Hmm...apparently the invisible ones are habitable. Fixed this on my end.
We will eventually have a GNN like GalCiv 1 did. Right now we don't have one, so the icons are overkill until we have a way to manage them.
I never said that I wasn't going to fix it. There are a few other issues with clipping the mouse coordinates that I have to look into. I may need to make a custom function rather than using the windows function.
Thanks. This was a simple one to fix.
Hmmm....the data object is deleted but I'll check to make sure that it's removing the graphical object. It wasn't in a save game was it? I found and fixed a bug yesterday where you couldn't select a planet in a loaded game that had been selected when the game was saved, so it could be related to that. Edit: the code sends the message to remove the graphic object, so I'm not sure what's happening. If you have a save game that can reproduce this, that would be save me the time of
Actually, finally managed to reproduce it here and I've fixed it so you don't need to send me anything if you haven't already.
I could only reproduce this if I was running in a window that was the size of the desktop. I suspect that it's clipping the mouse coordinates to the window and so the scroll edge isn't getting the message.
Can you please reproduce this bug on your machine and send me the crash report via e-mail along with your debug.err? [email protected]
1) Include your debug.err file in your report. The debug.err report includes system information which can be important, and can help give us clues as to what was going on when your problem occurred. 2) If it's a crash, please include a SmartException log if you have one. You can download SmartException at https://www.stardock.com/products/smartexception and there are also instructions there. Please run it while
I've changed the code that changes the priority in the build queue to fix a crash, and I think that it should clean up your problems with it not moving.
Stray cats are a problem, but shooting them is not an answer. Livonia has laws against stray cats and letting your cats wander around outside, and they don't have a problem with stray cats. I believe that you can call animal control and have them pick it up if you trap a stray cat. Redford has no ordinaces against stray cats and there are a lot, and people let their pets roam around. It's hard to tell which cats are pets and which aren't. None of
I'm not the most qualified person to give advice about overcoming shyness and awkwardness. I have a horrible time making small talk. But it seems to me that you must have some common ground with these people, it's only a matter of finding it. Maybe you could talk about your students? Not necessarily their names, but most of the teachers I know have all sorts of anecdotes that they can tell. If people have kids, they usually will talk other people's
I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I don't know how long it's going to take for a game to save before it starts, and it just unhides before it starts, and hides when it's done. It might be less irritating to just have a text sprite displayed on the screen briefly, but it would still be something flashing on the screen that you couldn't quite read.
Hmmm....I disabled all the colonization events and the first time colonization cutscene so I don't think it's that. We'll be looking into it though.
