I love the driver update tool in Impulse. It's taken a lot of the guesswork out of game troubleshooting for me. You can find it by going to the Community tab. On the lower right, you will see a button for your card type (ATI or nVidia). Click on that and you'll get an update tool that will help you download and install the latest drivers.
Any help here? As I said, I haven't gotten my Serial email, but I have been charged already when I first preordered.
You actually haven't been charged. When you place a preorder, often times a temporary hold on the funds appears on your account. It's just to verify that the money is actually there. We will begin charging the preorders shortly. You're fine, don't worry :)
Demigod will not use multiple monitors.
You will receive a second email when the preorders are charged later today.
If you're preordering today, you'll get in.
If you received the first email, we have your preorder stored. It will be processed in the order it was received. There is no way to check what number you are. If you're not sure you preordered, dig through your email archives for the initial reciept. If you don't have the email anymore, but have that nagging feeling you preordered, WAIT. If you have not received an email about your preorder being processed by 8am EST on September 5th, email sales@st
Please see the sticky in this forum with details on the beta release.
No preorders have been charged yet. If you preordered, you should have received an email saying we received the preorder. You will get another email today saying the order has actually been charged. It will contain a serial number/key, and will be activated on your account. Just sit tight for a while. If the day passes and you never get the email, then contact to follow up on the matter. But for

A few things to check if you receive the email saying your order has been processed (and you have a key), but isn't showing up in Impulse yet... "Check for Application Updates" via the Orb menu (sometimes you just need to say Hi to the server again) Make sure you have "Show Pre-releases" checked in the application settings (found via the Orb menu) Make sure you have the registration listed on the registration tab (key icon, top right) If you lack
Please see the brand new sticky thread at the top of the Demigod Beta forum. It should clear things up :)
Ok, a lot of folks have been passing around rumors and speculation on what's going on with the beta tomorrow. We've also been fielding the same questions from many people over and over again. So to make things easier for everyone, here is some basic information on Demigod Beta 1, preorders, and all that goodness... When can I download the beta? Beta 1 will be available on Thursday, September 4th. The only ETA we have is som
No solid ETA on when the beta will go up tomorrow. So if you're thinking of calling in sick to work etc to get a jump on the game, don't. Go to work, run errands, clean house or whatever other pressing real life things you need to take care of. The beta will not grow stale and rot away if you download it a few hours later. I've called off work waiting for a beta to be released before, only to have it not go live until like 8pm, wasting a perfectly good vacation day.<
In Impulse, on the registrations tab, you can add a registration manually. You then enter the email address used to purchase the game, and the serial number that is emailed to that address when the preorder is processed. It does not have to be the same email address as your primary Impulse account. The game will now show up in Impulse. Note that it is very important you keep track of the email address that purchased the game (if it's different from your Stardock.net
I'm using Chrome right now and there are a few bits I really like about it... Tear-away tabs. You have no idea how often I've wished IE or Firefox had this feature. I have multiple tabs up with pages I want to compare information on, but I have to open a new window, and copy/paste the url of one of the pages over. Not a huge bit of work, but annoying all the same. I like this doodad here. Instant Shortcut to the
But the Impulse installer don't work with Linux... do you plan a working version of Impulse for Linux user ? Or maybe a boxed version made from several "micro-expansion"...
No. We have no plans to do any work on Impulse to make it work with Linux (even in emulation). All of the micro-expansions will be rolled-up into the big full expansion pack we've been talking about since launch. You know, the one with the campaign and all of that good stuff
Sounds good. So no campaign in this set of mini-releases... But are you guys still going to do a SP campaign at all?? or is the plan to only work on mp related things for some time?
I can't speak to future content. I just know that Entrenchment specifically will not have a campaign in it. There are still two other micro expansions and the larger expansion later on that's been mentioned in the past.
Are you going to add a single player campaign, or at least something like a prologue? Why this will be available only via Impulse? I don't want to install Impulse and there should be another way to get it. Why not Stardock Centrall as well? And as Howdidudothat mentioned isn't that major defences improvement going to turtle the games? Give more information about it pls.
1. A single player campaign will not be a part of this micro expansion. 2.&nb
We will be bundling them all up together as a compilation expansion pack later next summer. There will be more details on that uber-pack later :)
Today Stardock & Ironclad Games are proud to announce the first of several micro-expansion packs, for the award-winning Sins of a Solar Empire. The first micro-expansion Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment is currently in development and will be released late 2008 for $9.95 via Stardock’s Impulse digital distribution platform (www.impulsedriven.com).
