like I said before MS already has the best on the job. ...and yet MS came up with Luna, while Apple came up with Aqua? There are obviously some people who consider more than function when choosing the UI - otherwise we would all happy with the 'Classic' windows style, and people wouldn't choose Mac ov

Anyone any idea if or where the Silica MP3 widget stores the data about the last opened folder or playlist? Also is there a way to set the default 'folder' as 'My Music' rather than 'my documents' (or possibly some other folder...) ?? Sorry if these are silly questions. There is a possibility that I'm just being thick. Thanks.

Well, it's about time I added something in my sporadic page of articles. My last (rather tragic) entry was apologising to Steve Grenier for a less than positive comment on his Tiger skin - which was a bad thing to do! Sigh. So what's been happening (man). Since the last skin pack I've been slightly less busy on the WB front, but that was intentional. I think you need to take a break regularly to let the creative juices circulate a while, a

What is there to say - WindowBlinds is the most fun thing to happen on PCs, ever. Just buy it. (I think the Guardian skin is also in the Stardock 'Essorant Skin Pack', which is a mixture of a few of my premium skins, available from the 'Store' tab on this website.)

On the subject of the iprepair.dll - it's have me tearing my hair out for three days trying to find a virus or spyware that dian't exist! I even installed SP2 - just to see if it was some system dll problem! So - if you are having problems with programs not running when you double click on their icon, or their exe file, try unregistering iprepair.dll using this: go to the start menu and choose 'Run' and in the box type

Oh. My. God. Looks like iprepair.dll might have been the problem! I've just unregistered it, and hey presto, programs run! I think I'd better update IP (now that I can run Stardock Central). (Now I can glue all the hair back onto my head that I've torn out. Tut tut. Naughty IP!!)

I'm experiencing problems with one of my PCs. Double-click on icons, or choose something from the start menu and I get an hourglass for a few seconds... then nothing. It's as if the program hasn't run. Checking out Task Manager, the list of tasks doesn't show it running, but looking through the list of processes, there is a process there! Looks like it doesn't affect all apps. Firefox doesn't run. Some items in Control Panel don't run (e.g.

I can't think of a better person to update these than Mike. Like it's been mentioned above, it's the likes of Russ who got me into skinning. Nice. (..which reminds me how many of mine I should be updating! I seem to remember promising to bring the rest of my library up to date. Maybe after the holidays.)

Ah Mike... thank you. That's exactly what I was looking for. Looks like it's probably missing from every skin I've done, although it seems to be behaving itself now on my PC... (maybe thay've changed something in the code?) Thanks everyone. (Like a clever fella once said, there are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary, and those who don't.)

Must be the time of the year. I'm taking a little rest after my recent skin pack. Everyone needs to let their creative batteries recharge every once in a while, and I've discovered a couple of interesting new things to do (well, new to me) - some 3D modelling (which I'm currently rubbish at) and music sample sequencing. (And Fuzzy - with the sections on the site particularly for toolbar icons and animations, you could still post and let the us
